3 Easy Ways To Bring A New Look To your Living Room For Less Than £100

amomentwithfranca · 16 October 2020 · 14 Comments

After living in the same home for years, you’ll notice that your decoration around the house becomes stale and you get bored with the look of your rooms. So you’ll want to redecorate to keep things fresh, or at least make a few changes to bring some new life into the room so that it looks new and stimulating.

With the country looking like it may go back into lockdown, it’s a good time to redecorate now because if we go back into lockdown you’ll be stuck at home with the same stale décor for the foreseeable future. Because the pandemic and the associated lockdowns have affected the finances of lots of people, we’ll be looking at easy ways you can bring new life into a room for less than £100.

NEW SET OF BLINDS

For a quick and easy way to completely change the look of any room in your home, you can simply invest in a new set of blinds. Blinds play a large role in the general look and feel of a room, they can add a splash of colour to your room, change the lighting of the room and make a room feel nice and cosy.

To fit into the under £100 budget, you should look into Roller Blinds from DotcomBlinds which can be purchased for as little as £7.55 but obviously, prices will vary depending on how large you want the blind to be, even if you want a large blind, DotcomBlinds can still make blind 81% cheaper than high street retailers.

BRING NATURE INTO YOUR HOME

Another way you can cheaply add some flair into your house is to invite nature into your home and buy some house plants. Plants are an excellent way to add some life to any room, with the ability to add in almost any colour you can think of. Additionally having plants in your home will have various positive effects on your wellbeing including making air quality better and making you feel happy.

With a £100 budget to play with, you can get quite a lot of plants and pots to put them in, but as you’ll want to avoid in-person shopping, you should check out Bloombox Club which offers a monthly plant subscription as well as having a store you can buy various plants for.

MAKE YOUR HOME A GALLERY

Art is a fine a way as any to bring some new style into your home, simply by hanging up a few canvas or poster prints will add some interesting points to your room and give you something pretty to admire. Whether you have a particular favourite artist, have a picture you found which you enjoy, or you’ve made some art yourself which you’d like to show off.

The price of getting art to hang varies a lot but can be done under the £100 budget, you can either get yourself some canvas & paints to make your own pieces to hang (or get the kids to make) or check out SnapFish and get some pictures printed onto a canvas.

Are you thinking to redecorate your living room?

*Disclosure: This is a Paid Collaboration.

Thanks for stopping by,

Love you all ❤️

I was sure one of the ideas would be painting a wall… Good ideas. I brought my Geraniums in from outside (before the frost), does that count? 🙂

These are some great ideas to give a room a new lease of life. I love having pictures up and vases of flowers. My husband loves plants, so is in charge of keeping them alive! #KCACOLS

I love when I add a little eye candy to my decor.
I made some really cute Cristamas tree napkins https://hellosewing.com/christmas-tree-napkins-tutorial/ and Fabric pumpkins for Haloween https://hellosewing.com/how-to-make-fabric-pumpkins/

I am also going to get some plants – they make every space a happy space #KCACOLS

I am actually decorating my living room at the moment. We have been refurbishing the entire house since we bought it last year and I am almost finished (phew!) but I have been sitting so many times trying to think of ways to fill the spaces and the walls. There are great ideas here. We just put up new blinds two weeks ago but I like the idea of plants. I hadn’t considered that. Right now I have been focusing on finding some nice new lamps. It turns out it’s not that easy to find exactly what you want!! #KCACOLS

I believe that is such a fantastic idea. It has been so long since I’ve sewn though. I typically do a lot of mine . I took courses at high school though and loved it. I am sure my children would like it as well.
