Hello and welcome to my blog!
This is my little corner of the internet where I share all aspects of my life—family moments, the things I love, our adventures together, the ups and downs of parenthood, and my honest thoughts on products (because, yes, I do love shopping!). I also write about what it’s like to be a Peruvian expat living in London. In short, it’s all about family, lifestyle, and travel wrapped up in one space.
In 2015, I launched a YouTube channel to complement this blog as a space to share anything I felt inspired to talk about. The name A Moment With Franca came to life because it perfectly captures the idea of me sharing little moments of my life with you. If you’re curious, check out my first video: About Me.
About Me
Who am I?
I’m Franca. I’m now sadly 47 years old (yes, guys, I’m getting older pretty fast, 😒). I’ve been married for 16 years to Nick. He is my best friend and the best hubby I could ever ask for! ❤️ You can read a letter I wrote him when we reached 7 years together. Hope you like it! 🙂
We are a family of four with two amazing daughters—Bella, 14, and Sienna, 10. As mentioned, I love shopping, especially online (I’m an Amazon addict!). When it comes to downtime, I love immersing myself in TV shows and movies. I love crime-solving dramas, documentaries, real-life stories, and witty comedies. And yes, I can’t resist cheesy reality shows—they’re my guilty pleasure!
I also have a deep love for flowers. They light up my day, bring me happiness, and never fail to make me smile. You’ll see them featured daily in my Instagram stories as a reminder to find beauty in the little things.
Photography is another passion of mine, especially capturing moments with my family. You’ll find plenty of those snapshots on my Instagram, where I share snippets of our daily life.
Travelling with my family is one of my greatest joys. Over the past nine years of documenting this blog, I’ve been fortunate to embark on incredible press trips to countries like France, Italy, Germany, and Portugal. Beyond work trips, we’ve made cherished memories on personal adventures to places like Florida, Peru, and The Netherlands. Each journey has added a beautiful chapter to our family story, and I can’t wait to see where we’ll go next!
I was born in Peru but have an Italian heritage, which gives me a blend of rich cultural influences. 2005, I moved to the UK after spending a year living in Madrid. Shortly after arriving, I met Nick at work in 2006, and we’ve been together ever since! I’m proud to say I’m also a British citizen, so I carry a bit of Peru, Italy, and the UK wherever I go.
By profession, I’m a qualified lawyer in my home country. When I moved to the UK, I successfully converted my law degree but chose not to pursue the final steps to qualify as a solicitor, as it was a lengthy and demanding process. Ultimately, my priorities shifted after having my daughters.
I started my blog as a stay-at-home mum (SAHM), and it has blossomed much more than I ever imagined. What began as a creative outlet has grown into my full-time career. My blog has been nominated for awards three times in 2016, which opened doors to incredible experiences. I’ve worked with amazing brands and travelled to incredible destinations, both solo and with my family.
This blog is more than just my story—it’s a family project. Nick and my daughters are at the heart of everything I do, and their love and support have made this journey even more special. I’m so excited for what the future holds for us and this little corner of the internet that has brought so much joy and opportunity to our lives.

NICK
Nick (or “Babes,” as I call him) is 48 years old and works as a CRM consultant. Yes, I’m married to a tech geek—and I love that about him! It’s especially handy when you have a blog to manage. He’s truly amazing—the best partner and the most incredible father to our girls.
Nick is the most easy-going person I’ve ever met, and I feel so lucky to have him by my side. He’s also a superstar at home, taking care of so much, including the cooking (thankfully, because I’m hopeless in the kitchen!). I often wish I’d learned how to cook when I was younger, but until then, I’ll gladly enjoy Nick’s delicious meals!
I probably don’t tell him this enough, but I love you so much, babes—you’re the glue that holds our family together!
BELLA
Bella is 14 years old and has shown incredible resilience and strength over the past few years. Recently diagnosed with autism and ADHD, these discoveries don’t define her but have empowered her to understand herself better and embrace her unique perspective on life. This journey has helped her grow in confidence and step out of her shell, steering her life in a positive direction.
Bella is a creative soul with a passion for art, and her talent shines through in everything she does—whether it’s hairstyles, makeup, or crafting beautiful handmade items. She’s incredibly thoughtful and caring and has a natural ability to bring joy to those around her. I couldn’t be prouder of how far she’s come, and I can’t wait to see all the amazing things she will achieve.
SIENNA
Sienna is 10 years old and has been full of energy and curiosity since the day she could walk. She’s always on the go, with endless ideas and a zest for life. Sienna has a love for sports, as well as acting, singing, and dancing, which she hones through her classes at Stagecoach. She thrives on creativity, spending hours drawing, colouring, and crafting fun things like bracelets and blind bags.
She’s also an outdoorsy adventurer who enjoys exploring and staying active. This is her final year in primary school—a bittersweet milestone as we prepare for her exciting transition to secondary school in September. I can hardly believe my youngest is growing up so quickly. I’m excited to see how these next years will shape her and all her wonderful achievements!
Ozzy
Ozzy is the newest and most adored member of our family. At 16 months old, he’s a Maltipoo (a mix of Maltese and Poodle) and has quickly become the heart of our home. After years of my daughters—especially Bella—begging for a dog, we finally said yes, and it’s one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. Maltipoos are known for their supportive nature, and Ozzy has been an incredible source of comfort and companionship for Bella, helping her navigate her challenges with love and patience.
Ozzy is playful, affectionate, and—let’s be honest—a little needy! He adores Nick, who takes him on daily walks and has earned the nickname “The Shadow” because he’s always right by Nick’s side. Though he’s only been with us for over a year, imagining life without him is hard.
We dream of taking him on a family trip abroad by car and can’t wait to share that adventure with him. Ozzy is truly the baby of the house—my only baby boy—and we love him beyond words.
This is my family and my life. I hope you like my posts and my videos and enjoy browsing around. If you enjoy my photos and my posts, please subscribe to my blog. Check my contact page, too.
