Hello and welcome to my blog!

This is my little space on the internet that I use to write about my family, the things that I like, our adventures as a family, the good days the bad days, my thoughts about products giving an honest review (btw, I love shopping 😀), what is like being a Peruvian ex-pat living in London, in summary, everything about family, lifestyle and travel.

In 2015, I decided to start a Youtube channel which goes alongside this website to start recording anything that I fancy talking about. The name A MOMENT WITH FRANCA came along after thinking that it will be me sharing with you guys some moments of my life. You can see my first video here About Me

Who am I?

I’m Franca. I’m now sadly 47 years old (yes guys getting older pretty fast, 😒) I’ve been married for 16 years to Nick. He is my best friend and the best hubby I could ever ask for! ❤️ You can read HERE a letter I wrote to him when we reached 7 years together. Hope you like it! 🙂

We have 2 gorgeous girls, Bella, 14 years old and Sienna, 9 years old. As I mentioned before I love shopping but especially on the internet. I’m addicted to Amazon, and love buying and selling on eBay. I’m obsessed with H&M (what a great place to buy awesome designs for such a low price!), Zara lover, etc.

I also love watching TV even though I don’t have enough time lately. I’m obsessed with reality TV (yes I know what a crap tv but yes it really gets my head out of any stupid problems!). I like Made in Chelsea, The Only Way is Essex, Love Island, X-factor, Big Brother, etc you name it I loved them all LOL. I also like the drama ones like Mad Men, Grey’s Anatomy, Homeland, House of Cards, etc. I also love taking pictures, especially of my family. You will see that a lot on my Instagram.

I was born in Peru but from an Italian background. I moved here in 2005 previously leaving one year in Madrid. I met Nick at work in 2006 and since then we have been together. I got my British Nationality so I’m also British! 🙂

So you know a little bit more about my background, I’m a lawyer and when I arrived I tried to convert here in the UK but it is such a long process that I now, unfortunately, had to give up. After having my girls my interests have changed.

I started my blog being a Stay at Home Mum (SAHM) but things have grown fast and now I can do this as my full-time job. My blog has been Award Nominated 3 times in 2016 which has given me such an amazing experience. I have had the chance to work with so many amazing brands and being able to travel alone and with my family. I’m so excited about what this little blog has brought to me and my family. Nick is an important part of this blog and so are my daughters because this blog is our family project! Let’s hope things keep growing for us! Wish us luck! 😉

NICK

I called him babes! He is 41 years old, a CRM consultant (yes, I’m married to a geek but I love that very much). It is very very handy especially when you want to have a blog and a Youtube channel! LOL He is amazing, the best partner and the best father ever! I don’t say to him this very often but yes I love you so much, babes!!! He is the easiest going guy I have ever met plus he does everything in the house which I appreciate a lot. He even does the cooking as I’m useless in the kitchen. I wish I’ve learned it when I was younger but I was never taught how to do it.

BELLA

She is 8 years old with a strong personality already. She is getting used to not be the only princess in the house, a process that takes obviously time. She loves singing, dancing, gymnastics, playing with play-dough, water games, the barbies, dolls, painting, gymnastics, crafting and the most Watching Youtube videos!. Lately, she just wants to put makeup on all the time in particular lipstick. Every time we go out she requests to have lipstick on! Bless her she wants to copy her mummy! She loved creating outfits with any pieces she can possibly find. She uses my scarfs for this. I sometimes wonder if she would be a fashion stylist or something. I guess time will tell but I am very excited to be part of her journey!

SIENNA

She is 4 years old. She is the latest addition to the family and certainly the last one. So yes, I got enough! It is time to enjoy life now, LOL! She is so gorgeous. I guess because I know I won’t have another baby I’m trying to enjoy and appreciate every minute even though it has been so dam hard! She is very active. She won’t stop! She is very smart and curious!. And she loves her food! Don’t get near her when she is hungry! She can definitely demand her food in such a loud way LOL. She loves being outdoors, especially going to the park. One of the things she loves doing all day long is colouring. She literally stays hours doing this. This year she started school and it has been very emotional for me. She is doing great and she is very happy which gives me a big relief. This is for sure a new chapter for us and we are enjoying it so far! 🙂
