Running until January 2026, this unique event invites you to step into the world of the show and test whether you’d survive the challenges.

I recently had the chance to experience it myself, and let me tell you — the adrenaline was real! Here’s everything you need to know about what happens inside, plus some helpful information if you’re planning to book.

Arrival & First Impressions

The experience is located at Immerse LDN – ExCeL Waterfront, London. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was buzzing. The entrance signage and themed props made it instantly clear this wasn’t just an ordinary day out in London — we were about to step into the Squid Game universe.

Even before the games began, you could feel the suspense building. Fans of the series will love the attention to detail in the staging.

Getting Started: Contestant Numbers & The Dormitory

Once inside, we queued to receive our contestant numbers and t-shirts, which instantly made us feel like players from the show. We also had profile photos taken before waiting to be called in.

That waiting area was filled with anticipation — no one quite knew what to expect next.

When the doors finally opened, we entered The Dormitory. With its rows of bunk beds, flashing lights, and eerie atmosphere, it looked like a scene lifted straight from the series. Here, the rules were explained, and we discovered our team colour. We were assigned to Team Red, which made us feel like we were in it together from the start.

The Games

The heart of the Squid Game Immersive Experience London is, of course, the games. Over an hour, we played six challenges, each inspired by the series.

1. Memory Steps – a brain-teasing challenge that tested how well we could crack a code.
2. Marbles – aim and precision were everything here.
3. Tug of War – a true test of teamwork and strength.
4. Red Light, Green Light – yes, Young-hee the giant doll was there, and it was just as tense as you’d imagine.
5. Round and Round – we had to land on the right shape before time ran out.
6. Rock, Paper, Scissors – simple in theory, but with the pressure on, even this classic game had our hearts racing.

Each game was different, and each one kept us on edge. There were moments of nervous laughter, moments of panic, and plenty of cheering when we managed to get through. What stood out most was the adrenaline rush — you get so caught up in the moment that you forget it’s just a game!

After the Games: Extra Touches

Once the challenges were over, we explored some of the extra touches that make the experience even more memorable.

There’s a Korean-inspired night market, offering snacks, drinks, and themed merchandise. You can also find photo opportunities that let you take home a unique memory of your time as a Squid Game contestant. Photos aren’t included in the ticket price, but you can purchase them afterwards if you’d like a keepsake.

For fans of the show, these little details help to round out the experience and make it even more immersive.
