AEG 8000 Series 8Kg Washing Machine Review

amomentwithfranca · 5 April 2017 · 15 Comments

I have never been so excited than when I got the opportunity to review a washing machine! OMG, my life has changed completely since getting this AEG 8000 Series L8FEC866R Washing Machine! You probably think that I’m exaggerating but you won’t believe how much time this machine has saved for us!

AEG 8000 Series 8Kg Washing Machine Review

AEG 8000 Series 8Kg Washing Machine Review

As you know we are a family of 4 which includes 2 little girls age 6 and 2 years old! Do you know the amount of dirty washing these 2 little monsters produce? No, you can’t even begin to imagine how much dirty clothes I have from these little monkeys! It is crazy! I literally spend most of my week doing laundry. But since I got this AEG washing machine I am now doing laundry once a week only! Can you believe it? Yes, now for the first time in what it seems forever, I only have to deal with the laundry once a week! That is party time for me, LOL!

I have not had an AEG washing machine before. The one we have had came with our home when we first move in 10 years ago, so although it served us well you can imagine how old its technology was which made it the perfect time to change it.

We made a video showing all the main features of this washing machine. Please see below:

I hope you found this video helpful if you wish to buy this washing machine. I will now highlights the most important features that this washing machine has and I thought they were fantastic.

GOOD LOOKING

When we received the washing machine I was impressed with how great it looks. I know that’s not the most important feature in a washing machine but if you get a stylish washing machine then that is a bonus. I really like how it looks in my kitchen and I have spent some time looking from the sofa towards the kitchen and thinking to myself how happy I am to have this washing machine.

PROSENSE TECHNOLOGY & OKO-MIX TECHNOLOGY

The AEG 8000 series washing machine is amazing. It comes with lots of fantastic features and the latest technology: ProSense technology which uses sensors to determine the load weight and dryness, adjusting the washing time, the amount of energy and the water required accordingly; and the Oko-Mix technology which protects the fabric fibres thanks to different pre-mixing phases that dissolves detergent and softener first before they are mixed with the laundry.

FEATURES

It has different type of programs that you can use for different type of textiles. See below the different options:

  • Cottons
  • Synthetics
  • Delicates
  • Wool / Silk
  • Steam
  • OKO Power
  • Anti-allergy
  • 20 min – 3kg
  • Outdoor
  • Duvet
  • Temperature
  • Spin Speed
  • Soft Plus
  • Stain / Prewash
  • Extra Rinse
  • Eco
  • Time Saver
  • Rinse / Spin / Drain only
  • Plus Steam
  • Delay Start

The Steam program works very well and lasts only 20 minutes. You are now able to refresh your clothes and reduce creases and odours. You can also add the Plus Steam program to any washing programs and it will finish with a gentle steam cycle.

It also has a Stain program which will pre-treat any clothes with difficult stains. There is also a Soft Plus program wich will spread the softener in the laundry uniformly. You can see the difference in your clothes when using this option.

One of the programs I thought was really good to highlight is that this machine has a wool/silk wash option so now those types of items that should normally be washed by hand, now can be washed in this washing machine which is brilliant!

It also has a delay start button up to 20 hrs. This is perfect when you want your washing ready for when you wake up for example. You can also change the temperatures and the spin speed for each program. It has a quick wash program for small loads up to 3kg at 30 degrees and it lasts for 20 mins

This machine is very quiet compared to the one we used to have. You can hardly hear the spinning part of the cycle. It also has an anti-allergy program which is great for my daughter’s clothes as she suffers from asthma.

CHILD LOCK

This is a very important feature for families with small kids. This feature is a must. My youngest daughter is 2 years old and tries to play with the buttons all the time but this feature stops her from disrupting the wash.

ECO

It has an A+++ rating which means it is very efficient and it will help you to save money.

CAPACITY

It has an 8kg drum capacity which is suitable for a medium-sized home. This feature has been a lifesaver for me as I was able to fill more clothes in each cycle. It perfect for us!

VALUE FOR MONEY

It is not cheap but the price is understandable if you take into consideration all the features that it has plus it comes with a 5 year warranty included which is perfect!

MY THOUGHTS

Overall, I’m very pleased with this product. I really like this washing machine and I do, of course, recommend it. So, thank you AEG for such a fantastic product!

Have you owned an AEG washing machine before or even the AEG 8000 series? What do you think of this machine? What is the feature that caught your attention the most? When you buy a washing machine, what features do you look for?

*Disclosure: We received this washing machine for the purpose of this review. However, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Thanks for stopping by,

Love you all ❤️

Sounds technologically fabulous and it must be nice for you to finally see the bottom of the wash bin.

We haven’t ever had an Aeg machine before but it’s definitely worth considering for the future. Although I have a cover plan on my machine that upgrades it should something go wrong. Which it has in the past

It sounds fantastic! I’d be excited too! It looks so pretty and shiny! (haha), but it looks really modern too. I love that is has SO many options, but the child lock has to be the most tempting feature. My little ones are forever turning mine off halfway through!! #KCACOLS

Awesome review, and it is quite a looker. We have a front loader now, and had a beauty of one at the house before we moved. The only problem we have, and many other too, is mold. Watch out for that as front loaders are a bit susceptible since they have to be airtight. Wash her through with bleach once a month and you’ll be just fine. ENJOY HER! Fab review too! #KCACOLS

What a fab washing machine! As you know we also have an AEG with this technology and it’s brilliant. I love the fact that it’s so quiet and has a big drum – less washing is also a big bonus right? #KCACOLS

Great review and loads of different functions which is good for a family. I’ve had their products before and just took delivery of a new oven this weekend as our one died on us just in time for easter! Always pretty good customer service which is important for us.

Sienna’s 9th birthday took an unexpected turn when she cut her thumb, and we spent some time in the ER getting a single stitch. 😢 But she’s a trooper and handled it like a champ..Despite this, we still managed at the start of that first week to soak up some sun, enjoy the pool, watch beautiful sunsets, and take in the incredible views. Evenings by the pool became our thing, creating lasting memories and a sense of calm. It wasn’t the week we had planned, but it turned out to be a week of quality family time and unwinding. ☀️🏖️.Swipe left to see our first week in pictures, and if you keep checking until the last photo, you can see Sienna’s stitch.
