Looking for a unique day out in London that will make you question everything you see? We recently visited Paradox Museum London, and it completely blew our minds — in the best way possible! Located in Knightsbridge, right opposite Harrods, this immersive attraction is full of clever optical illusions, interactive exhibits and playful setups that challenge your perception of reality.
This October, the museum took things one step further with its spooky takeover, “Once Upon a Paradox”, blending eerie fairytales with science and art for a truly one-of-a-kind Halloween experience. But even after the Halloween theme ends on 4th November, the Paradox Museum London continues to offer its signature, mind-bending fun all year round — making it a brilliant family day out whatever the season.
Paradox Museum London: A Mind-Bending Family Experience
What to Expect at Paradox Museum London
The Paradox Museum London is a world where nothing makes sense, yet everything feels real. Designed to combine science, art, and psychology, each room challenges how you see the world. Expect captivating optical illusions, clever visual tricks and photo opportunities around every corner.
Some of our favourite rooms included:
• The Reversed Room, where everything is upside down!
• The Camouflage Room, which makes you disappear into the background.
• The Infinity Well, a jaw-dropping illusion that feels like you’re staring into a bottomless pit.
• The Paradox Tunnel, a twisting walkway that makes walking straight nearly impossible!
It was pretty busy when we visited during half term, but that only added to the atmosphere — families laughing, kids gasping in disbelief, and everyone trying to capture the perfect illusion photo.
Once Upon a Paradox – The Halloween Theme
Running until 4th November, Once Upon a Paradox transforms the museum into a world of spooky fairytales and optical magic. Visitors can pose in eerie graveyards, sit on the Evil Queen’s throne, or walk through the neon Halloween cosmos for that perfect themed snap.
Younger visitors can also join the Fairytale Trail, solving clues and collecting stamps to earn a special prize at the end — a lovely interactive touch that keeps kids engaged throughout the visit.
And if you’re up for a challenge, don’t miss the Paradox Tunnel of Terror! The idea is to strut your spookiest or sassiest walk through the tunnel, set to “Monster Mash” — a fun way to join the social media challenge and maybe even get featured on @london_paradoxmuseum’s page.
The Zero Gravity Add-On
We couldn’t resist trying the Zero Gravity Room — an optional add-on that lets you experience the sensation of floating weightlessly, as if you’re in space! It’s so cleverly done and definitely worth it for the photos alone. It adds an extra layer of excitement to your visit and really captures the playful spirit of the Paradox Museum London.
