Being part of Miffy Mums

amomentwithfranca · 18 December 2015 · 60 Comments

I’m so excited to tell you that I’m now part of Miffy Mums. You have probably seen that beautiful badge that I have in my sidebar on the right! Isn’t it lovely? It’s such a lovely character, who wouldn’t be happy to be part of this group of Mums? Miffy is just an adorable bunny!! 🙂

Miffy FI

If you didn’t know, Miffy is a cute white rabbit, originally created in 1955 by Dutch author, artist and illustrator Dick Bruna while he was on holidays with his family. Bruna drew a little bunny rabbit whilst telling his son a bedtime story about a little rabbit who runs around the holiday home at night. Miffy is a girl because Bruna preferred to draw Miffy wearing a skirt rather than trousers. Up until 1963 Miffy had floppy ears, but from 1963 they perked up and Miffy looked like the rabbit we are used to seeing today.

Can you believe that Miffy is 60 years old already? It’s really amazing to have had so many years entertaining kids around the world, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIFFY!!! Now that I’m part of Miffy Mums, I have the opportunity to review some of Miffy’s products as well as receiving details of activities Miffy has organised for the remainder of the year and for 2016! A lot of exciting things will be happening and I will be letting you know as soon as I find out more details!! Isn’t this great? Yes it is, hurrah!!!

You can see a short one minute film below which showcases the most iconic Miffy illustrations from the last 60 years. It is fun to watch:

We received a beautiful little orange welcome bag containing 5 cute little story books, an activity book and a party celebration kit. It was all so cute!! My girls loved it all!!

The books were all different colours and are so adorable. My girls love them because the stories are interesting and the illustrations are very bright and colourful. The titles were, Miffy’s Birthday, Miffy, Miffy’s garden, Miffy and Melanie, and Miffy at the playground. It was great to have such a nice little ready made collection.

All these books and more are available at Waterstones with an RRP of £4.99. If you like Miffy and their books maybe you could go have a look. It could be a nice gift for Christmas.

Dick Bruna has written more than 30 Miffy books, including Miffy at the Gallery, Miffy at the Zoo and Miffy’s Garden. Because of Miffy’s uncomplicated, innocent and positive nature, she appeals to children all over the world. Young children can relate to Miffy’s exciting adventures.

This activity book, “Christmas with Miffy” was fantastic. Bella loves it. She was so concentrated doing all the different activities. The stickers were lovely and very festive, perfect for this time of the year. Any child would be very happy to have an activity book like this. You can also find this activity book at Waterstones with an RRP of £4.99

Miffy on Tiny Pops

Miffy and her friends are now starring in a brand new TV show “Miffy’s Adventures Big and Small” packed full of fun and adventure on Tiny Pop. It can be watched every day at 7 pm or 7:30 am during #miffymornings. The new series marks the first time Miffy has been seen in CGI. The series comprises 52, 7 minute long episodes which see Miffy and her friends exploring the exciting world around her.

You can also find Miffy on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, and you can also browse around Miffy’s boards on Pinterest.

Have you heard of Miffy before? What do you think of this Welcome Bag? Do you like Miffy’s products? Have you watched the new Miffy series on tv? Or her movie? Leave me a comment below – I would love to read what you think.

Thanks for stopping by,

Love you all ❤️

Congrats on becoming a Miffy Mum! They are so adorable. Those books look like so much fun, I bet your daughters loved them! We often watch Tiny Pop, but not so early in the morning or late in the evening – I’m sure that will start to change as Taylor gets older. #KCACOLS xxx

We have the MIffy books. The illustrations in them are so lovely and I like how they are so simple to read. They have also lasted the decades so they must been doing something right! Hadn’t seen the sticker version so that was good to know 🙂 #KCACOLS

Congrats Franca! What a lovely thing to be involved in! We love Miffy (well, at least I do), I remember it well from when I was little so it is very nostalgic. I love the look of this little pack of books and sure my little lady will too, so I’ll be keeping an eye out for it in Waterstones! I cant wait to see what events Miffy has coming up this year, how very exciting 🙂 #KCACOLS
