One of the things that Bella loves the most is playing hairdresser. She could stay hours playing with her hair, my hair, her sister’s hair or even Dad’s hair! She absolutely loves it! She has learnt to do plaits and likes to do them all the time. She is actually very good at it! When we were asked to review Easy Braids fromCharacter Option, we immediately agreed as it couldn’t be more perfect for her!
Bella was so excited to receive this toy as she couldn’t believe it was a machine that would braid her hair. She wanted to see if it worked and to use it to do lots of braids, decorating her hair and all of us too! Easy Braids effortlessly braids hair just like a real stylist! Braid, Decorate and Dazzle! It’s very simple and easy to do.
The box arrived a little bit damage hence why in the photos above it looks like it was opened already but all the contents were perfectly fine when we removed it from the box. It was well protected.

HOW TO USE
1. Preparation
Please note that before you can use this machine you will need 3x AAA batteries which are not included. Have these ready to avoid a disappointed child, LOL!
Get your hair ready to use the braider. You then use the plastic splitter/separator which will help you to seperate and hold the hair into 3 strands.
We actually had an issue when doing this. I accidentally pulled the elastic part (used to fasten across the seperator to secure hair in place) harder than normal and it broke. I was a little bit disappointed that it could break that easily and before we even started the review. I didn’t know what to do but then I thought about using one of the elastic bands provided instead and thankfully this worked so we were able to continue. I would recommend you to be gentle with this part to avoid what happened to me.
After getting the hair into place, we had to get the 3 hooks inside the braider. Each section of hair is then hooked onto one of these and loaded into the corresponding tube. The hair will go through the holes inside the braider machine.
This part wasn’t that easy to do initially. It took me time to master this and of course for Bella too. She wanted to do this all by herself but needed some guidance from me. I think the more you do it, the easier it gets.
2. Braid
Let the easy Braids do the work. Hold the button and watch it instantly braid your hair. I recommend to do this part slowly otherwise you can end up with a messy braid.
Our first attempt wasn’t that bad at all but I realised it wasn’t perfect. I practiced a few more times and then I was getting better and faster at it. Bella wanted to try this herself so then she tried with my hair and her sisters.
It was really cool to see how the braider was creating the braids so easily. It was so much fun. Bella was loving it!
3. Decorate
It comes with stylish embellishments, so you can complete your style with bands and clips or using the coloured ribbons in your braid to add more style. These accessories are very colourful which make your hair look very cool!
We used the bands and the clips but we didn’t use the ribbons yet. I think we will when we have more practice with the machine. Bella likes using the bands and I like using the clips.
I think some hair is easier to do than others. For example, Sienna’s hair was quicker than Bella’s to do. Also, my hair which is long and thicker was easier too. Bella’s hair is short, thin and very silky so it took me time to get it done properly but I am thinking of trying it with her hair damp as I think it will hold it better.
It was also very cool to see our hair all wavy after removing the braids. Bella actually loved this a lot and asked me to do it again another day but leaving it all night to see how it will look the next day. I agreed so we now have a braiding date to look forward to, LOL!

OUR THOUGHTS
Even though we had a few incidents along tge way, after fixing those issues and also practising more and more, this braiding machine became a super fun toy to have at home. It is a girls dream to braid your own hair so with this braider their dreams come true! Bella loves making braids. She hasn’t managed to braid her own hair yet but I think she will be able to do it soon. At the moment she enjoys being braided by me or using the braider machine on us.
I definitely think this machine will be a hit when Bella has some friends staying over or for any makeover parties! I am sure her friends will love it! You can find more information about Easy Braids HERE.
Do your kids love braids? What do you think of this braiding machine? Could it be a hit at home for you too?
*Disclosure: We received this braider for the purpose of this blog post. However, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Thanks for stopping by,
Love you all ❤️

It looks good , my Megan would enjoy it, her hair is down to her bum, we call her Rapunzel, I would have to help her though so she didn’t get all tangled (no pun intended) xXx
