A Fun Day With Model Vogue Williams & Regatta Outdoors

amomentwithfranca · 24 October 2016 · 52 Comments

I was recently invited to a fun and exclusive event in London with model and fashionista Vogue Williams, and award winning outdoor clothing brand Regatta Outdoors. They were hosting a Style Masterclass with Vogue. They told me I would get some practical style advice to maximise my trends and look as well as getting the chance to try, experiment with, and take home some fantastic items from their brand new Regatta Heritage range. I was super excited and couldn’t wait for the day to arrive!

A Fun Day With Model Vogue Williams & Regatta Outdoors

I have always loved fashion and I have always liked to wear the latest trends but at the same time I LOVE my comfort and I don’t wear stylish clothes every day. I always want to look good and presentable if I can. How lucky I felt to be able to get a one on one style masterclass with Vogue and get a few tips from her!

They asked me to bring my girls along to the event as they wanted to film them discussing my makeover. I thought that was very cool, although I knew Sienna was too little to discuss anything but at least they could film their reactions. We all went along to the event as I knew I was going to need the help of Nick to make sure the girls behaved.

They also invited 3 other mummy bloggers to take part, each having their own makeover. We were all different so it was an interesting challenge for Vogue to choose the perfect outfits for each of us. When we arrived we walked into a big open studio. It was all set up for the photoshoot and video. It looked great!

Regatta is launching their new AW16 Heritage Collection and Vogue is the face of this fantastic range. We were very lucky to get to see their latest range and discuss with Vogue which clothes would suit us the best. They had different products around their set and I didn’t waste any time in having a browse around to see what they had.

I was so in love with their wellingtons. They actually gave me some low cut wellingtons boots to keep and they have been my favourite footwear to wear every day, especially for the nursery run. I absolutely love them! They couldn’t be more comfortable! I even took them with me on a press trip I had to France and did tourism with them. They never disappointed me at all. I was so pleased I took them with me.

The idea behind this event was for Regatta to host a style master-class for busy mums to pick-up a few quick and easy style tips to add an extra ‘wow’ factor to their everyday look. This is because we all want to look good at the end of the day! They understand that ‘mum’ isn’t a one-size-fits-all term when it comes to fashion. As such they’ve identified several main groups that mums tend to fall into.

They identified me within the “Urban Mum” category. This is what Urban Mum means: “She dwells in the city but this doesn’t mean she doesn’t like exploring the outdoors. Instead, she brings the country to the city, using the concrete jungle as her walking ground. She likes clothes that don’t look out of place in a city environment, yet serve a practical purpose”

I was excited to see what Vogue had chosen for me after identifying me within this category. She had a few pieces in mind but we only discussed one piece that day and the rest was given to me to try at home and to of course keep. I have already tried them all and I’m about to do another post about it together with other pieces my girls and also Nick received. It will be a family outdoor post. Watch out for it as it will be coming soon!

STYLE MASTERCLASS WITH VOGUE

Vogue chose a beautifully soft showerproof winter jacket in black with warm lining. It is made from pearlescent fabric lightly quilted with warming Thermo-guard insulation. It has an oversized snood collar and is trimmed with fine-quality ‘fur’ for a luxe finish. The asymmetric fastening and large pockets create a flattering fit.

I love the idea of the asymmetric fastening. I think this enhances your look because it helps give you a better shape. I couldn’t wait to try it after the hair and makeup.

HAIR AND MAKEUP

I loved the idea of having professional people doing my hair and makeup. They asked to arrive with no makeup at all so I was really looking forward to getting a nice transformation.

I had my hair wet but they didn’t dry it as apparently, they wanted me to look more natural with my original curls. I thought it could be interesting to leave it like that for a change.

MAKEOVER & GIRLS REACTION

SONY DSC

SONY DSC

They wanted me to show my new look to the girls. My girls looked happy but not too surprised, LOL! I guess this is because they are quite used to seeing me with makeup and dressing up for events so they couldn’t see much difference but they did like how I looked in general.

SONY DSC

The jacket lovely and it is super warm. I have worn it a couple of times already and really like it. I love the collar and as Vogue suggested it is a really nice to wear in the night when I’m out. So yes, she was right!

You can see below the video that was made of the day:

Vogue Williams Gives 4 Fab Mums a Regatta Makeover!

You can find the latest Heritage range with Vogue Williams on the Regatta Outdoors website which is now available. You should go and have a look as it is FABULOUS!

I would like to say THANK YOU so much to Regatta & Vogue for such a fun day! We all had a great time and we absolutely LOVE our Regatta products! Yay! 😉

Have you heard of Regatta before? Did you know that Vogue Williams was the face of their latest Heritage range? Have you seen their latest range? What do you think of this style masterclass? What do you think of my jacket? Leave me a comment below as I would love to read what you think.

*Disclosure: I was invited to this exclusive event in London by Regatta for the purposes of this blog post. However, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Thanks for stopping by,

Love you all ❤️

It’s great that she’s working with Regatta – it’s not a brand I’d normally look at so it’s great for them to get her involved, love the jacket and wellies! I really need a decent winter coat so I will check out their range xx

What an exciting experience! I like Regatta clothes so will be sure to look out for this new range. The coat looks really warm. I love your low-cut wellies too. I have some wellie shoes for gardening but they don’t look that cool. I do have some purple knee high Hunters though which I love for wet weather. The picture of your girls on the sofa is lovely! #KCACOLS
