I have always had lots of lots of hair which unfortunately has always required a lot of care. My hair is thick and curly so it is important to keep it treated so it is smooth and easier to brush and style. It’s funny because when I was young, in my teens my hair was completely curly. It was hard to brush or blow dry so I decided to have a treatment to make it more straight. After the treatment, my hair changed completely. I was not crazy curly anymore but my hair became much more straight. It was so weird but until now my hair has remained like this.
I’m always searching for new products and treatments that will help me with my hair, so when I was approached by The Harley Street Clinic about receiving a hair hamper, I was super excited. They sent a gorgeous hamper full of hair products – it was like a dream!
When the parcel arrived, it was beautifully wrapped with a cute blue bow. I love the box as it is great to use for something else after using the products – very practical.
I received 3 shampoos and 3 sachets. Two of the sachets were an eye lifting balm and the other one was a moisture recovery cream, which I thought was a little bit random for a hair hamper. I have not tried them yet but I will do at some point.
The third sachet was from SachaJuan (Stockholm). This was a Hair Cleansing Cream which I absolutely loved! I wish they had sent me a bigger amount as I’m really desperate for more. I will have to do some shopping online soon to get a bigger bottle. It was so good.
The 3 shampoos that I received were:
Vichy Nourishing Cream Shampoo
This shampoo was really good. It was the first that I tried from the hamper and it is the one that I have been using the most. It does what it says on the bottle which is to nourish my hair. It is lovely and creamy when you put it in your hand. It’s a little expensive but worth it as I love, love, love this shampoo!
It is perfect for dry hair and it left my hair feeling super soft which was fantastic. I like the smell of it too and will definitely buy a new bottle after this one finishes, which I guess tells you how much I like it! 🙂
Sachajuan ocean mist volume shampoo
This shampoo with ocean silk technology and natural proteins gives my hair, structure, volume and strength. It leaves your hair shiny and smells very nice although I felt the smell was more like a very nice aftershave, so now I’m wondering if this shampoo will be much better for the hubby!
Phyto Paris Phytocyane Shampoo
This shampoo gives vitality to the whole hair, thanks to a synergy of botanical active ingredients that energize hair fiber from within. It has Ginkgo Biloba which combined with vitamin B6, activates cellular metabolism and hair resistance, thus strengthening hair.
The consistency of this shampoo is very liquidy, and I think it’s also quite drying so it was not very good for my hair. I tried it twice but I didn’t feel my hair looked any better. It actually felt much drier than before. As I mentioned before I always need to use conditioner but with this shampoo, I felt the need to use double the amount of conditioner after using it which was not good.
I decided to give it to Nick to try. His experience was different, as he apparently really likes it and thinks that it is doing something good to his hair. It looks healthier than before. I think this shampoo works better with certain types of hair but not for my type of hair.
From all 3 shampoos that I tried, the best by far was the first one from Vichy. Then I absolutely love the cleansing cream from SachaJuan.
I would have loved to have received a paired shampoo and conditioner to try as my hair always needs conditioner so it was difficult to test the products on their own. Hopefully next time I can try some conditioners too, lol!
Have you tried any of these shampoos before? Do you like or need to take care of your hair like me? What do you think about the products? Which one sounds more likely to be your favourite? Please leave a comment below as I would love to read what you think.
*Disclosure: I received this hair hamper in exchange for a blog post. However, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Thanks for stopping by,
Love you all ❤️
