Heading to Paris for E-Fluent Spot 5

amomentwithfranca · 27 November 2016 · 49 Comments

I have been meaning to write this post since the moment I found out I was invited to Paris for 3 days. Yes, you are reading correctly! I’m off to Paris tomorrow for E-Fluent Spot 5 along with other British bloggers. This is an international event where we will meet over 500 bloggers from about 15 different countries, with the press and lots of amazing brands also in attendance. This will certainly be an experience that I will never forget!

Heading to Paris for E-Fluent Spot 5

First of all, I would like to say that I feel incredibly proud of this little blog and what it has brought to us. I cannot explain in words how shocked I am to be considered one of the most influential parenting bloggers from the UK and be reunited with other like-minded bloggers. It will be 3 full-on days where I’m sure I will get lots of inspiration and hopefully be able to make new friends! Fingers crossed for that! 🙂

The company behind this fantastic international event is Mayane Group, editor of the well-known magazine Parole De Mamans. They have organised an amazing itinerary for us and I can’t wait to arrive in Paris and start this wonderful experience.

Le Spot Des e-Fluent

Who would have thought just over 1½ years when I started this blog that I was going to find a job that would fulfil me and make me happy. This is not an easy job. It demands a lot of effort and dedication. You really need to love it to be able to do it otherwise it is very easy to give up. I had several moments where I was about to stop because I felt that it was overtaking my life but the best solution is to strive for a balance. I’m not there yet but I’m certainly heading in the right direction to be able to find that balance. Like any job in life you need to work hard to achieve your goals. That is why I’m very grateful for this opportunity. This invitation reminds me that all the work and long hours that we have been putting into this blog have been paid off as this proves that we must be doing something good.

I think, calling myself a blogger has been a journey for me. It was not easy to change my career path from lawyer to blogger. Not everybody understands this and certainly, not everybody approves of it. I do know for sure however, that you should be doing something that makes you happy and not pushing yourself to do something that will make someone else happy. My advice for anyone else is to fight and carry on what you are doing if it makes you happy and you will shine.

I’m sorry if I got carried away by stating these things but it is something that I wanted to say a long time ago and I think being invited to E-Fluent Spot 5 made me realise that I should feel proud of myself and keep fighting as this for sure is my hobby, my passion, and everything after my family.

I’m looking forward to making the most of these 3 days with hopefully a chance to do some networking so I am able to bring you more information about any brands that I meet. We will be travelling by Eurostar thanks to Selectour Afat.

Hotel St James Albany

We will be staying at Hotel St James Albany during the 3 days. The first night, we will have a Dinner Gala at the Paris en Scène Dinner Cruise on the Seine River. OMG, I cannot wait for this Gala! We will have our hair and makeup done too! Happy Times, LOL!

There are so many must see places in Paris. The next day will be all about E-Fluent Spot 5 which will take place at Le Carreau Du Temple. They have a full on programme. We will meet about 650 French and international parenting Bloggers. We will have the privilege to interact with the most prestigious brands and travel markets. I’m really looking forward to this day which will end up with a DJ Party! Amazing, right?

Eiffel Tower Paris

Day 3 has not been revealed yet as it will be a surprise for all of us. We will have the afternoon free to discover Paris even more and then we should pack and be ready to go back to London. I’m sure I will be super sad by this stage.

As you can probably gather this will be one of the most important opportunities that I have had the fortune to be part of and I can’t wait for it to start! Watch this space as I will be writing all about my experience soon. So, Paris here I come! Bring it on! 😉

Have you heard of E-Fluent Spot? Have you attended before? What do you think of the itinerary and the programme for the E-Fluent Spot 5 main day? Please leave a comment below as I would love to read what you think.

*Disclosure: I have been invited to E-Fluent 5 Spot but all my thoughts are my own.

Thanks for stopping by,

Love you all ❤️

You should definitely be proud of your accomplishments. There are a lot of people who don’t “get” blogging, but those who do understand how amazing it can be for both the blogger and her readers. I totally get how it can be hard and overtake your life too though. Congrats on being invited to the exciting conference. #kcacols

Welcome to Paris, wonder if you’ll be hitting my favourite spots in Paris. I haven’t heard of this event and I’m in touch with a few mummy bloggers over here in Paris.

If you’ve got a free afternoon in Paris, nip down to Bon Marche you won’t be disappointed – I love it there, and the Grand Epicerie next door. And well done, you have done amazingly well and that’s down to all your hard work – what an inspiration!

Wow that sounds amazing! I hope one day my blog and me are as successful as you are. I understand the difficult transition, I’m trying to transition from vet to blogger, and whilst I love being a vet it’s not very compatible with family life and spending more time with them is my driving force. Thanks again for hosting, and having me co-host Franca. #KCACOLS

✨ Cat Cafe In London✨.📍Bella and I went t ✨ Cat Cafe In London✨.📍Bella and I went to @javawhiskersuk , a cat cafe located in @westfieldlondon . This was my present for Mother’s Day from her🌸.🌟 Before we went inside, we had to go to a separate room to wash our hands and remove our shoes..🐾 They have 2 different rooms: the Cat Lounge and the Kitten Lounge and you can choose to stay from 55 mins to 1hr 55 mins. The prices vary depending on the room you choose and the length of time..🍰 When we stepped inside the room we were greeted by a group of gorgeous kittens. We ordered (before we went inside the room) a latte and a delicious chocolate muffin with chocolate melted inside that was so good. This was served to us in the room while we were surrounded by these adorable kittens..🐱 We spent 55 mins playing and petting the kittens. They were so cute. We loved interacting with them..🥰 Their cafe is also a foster home for homeless cats so if you are looking to adopt one, this is the place to visit! They have had 230 successful adoptions already! 🙌🏻.🚨 The only downside is that you have to be over 10 years old in order to be allowed inside the rooms 😬.🐈 If you are a cat lover like us, I highly recommend you visit Java Whiskers! It is the perfect place to unwind and relax with these beautiful kittens! 🙌🏻.Have you visited a Cat Cafe before? 🐈‍⬛ .#javawhiskers #catcafe #catcafelondon #londoncafe #westfieldlondon #londondayout #daysout #thingstodoinlondon #newplaces #londonguide #lovecats😻 #catsofinstagram #catloversday #londonthingstodo #whatsonlondon

✨My Girls✨.Due to the strikes we had Sienna ✨My Girls✨.Due to the strikes we had Sienna at home yesterday and today, and Bella only today. I thought it would be very chaotic but despite it always being louder when the girls are at home, especially my youngest one, lol, we did well..Bella did school work at home today and had the afternoon free. Sienna didn’t do school work. We only asked her to carry on doing Spanish and Maths via Duolingo. She also had Spanish lessons this afternoon (every Thursday she has lessons) so both days were manageable thankfully 😍.How was it for you? Did your kids stay at home or did they go to school? .PS: let’s hope things get better for teachers. I am not sure why it hit me so much this time but it has taken me about two solid weeks to properly be back to my routine without feeling right. Waking up in the mornings was the worst. It was very hard, especially when I had to be on time for the school run! 😩.Anyway, everything feels better now! 😊.How long does it take you to be back to normal after a jetlag? ✨Peruvian Suspiro Limeño✨."Suspiro Limeño" ✨Peruvian Suspiro Limeño✨."Suspiro Limeño" is one of my favourite Peruvian desserts. When I was In Peru, I of course, made sure to have it not only once but several times 😉.This dessert is made of manjar blanco (milk, sugar, almond flour, egg yolks, vanilla) and meringue (egg whites, port, cinnamon) 😘.The history behind this dessert starts with Amparo Ayarza who was the creator. Her husband, José Gálvez Barrenechea was a poet and was the one who gave it its name. The poet called it "Suspiro de Limeña", which means, 'Sigh of a Lima lady', because it is soft and sweet like the sigh of a woman. Love this 🥰.Have you ever tried "Suspiro Limeño"? Or have you heard of it before? Would you try it? .📸 Picture taken @panchitasazoncriolla in Lima that has one of the best versions of this dessert 🙌🏻.#suspirolimeño #peruviandessert #meringue #merengue #desserttime #dessertlover #dessertpic #dessertgram #peruvianfood #cocinaperuana #gastronomiaperuana #perufood #peruviancousine #whatisfordessert #dessertsofinstagram
