HP Sprocket Photo Printer Limited Edition Gift Box – Loving It!

I love gadgets! I can’t help it! I love trying out the latest gadgets that come on the market! If there’s anything that can make my life better or easier, I will be up for it! When I was a teen I always wanted to be the first one to get the latest gadget and I wouldn’t stop annoying my parents until I got whatever it was! I must have been annoying, LOL!

Anyway, I am so excited because I received one of the coolest gadgets ever to review! It’s an HP Sprocket Photo Printer Limited Edition Photo Printer Gift Box and receiving it reminds me how much I love my job! :-). I feel like a teen again after receiving this gift box!

First let me tell you, how cool the design of this gift box is! I am already in love with it before I have even opened it! It is so colourful! This printer would be an ideal gift for Christmas. I am thinking that young people would love it. I would say, it is ideal for those aged 13 to 21 years old and would make a great Christmas present for those around that age! I am actually thinking about my 15 year old niece who would absolutely die for one of these and I am sure I would become the best auntie in the whole world if I gave her this HP Sprocket Photo Printer Limited Edition Photo Printer Gift Box to her for Christmas. LOL, I can picture her having so much fun with it with her friends!

How cool is it to be able to print special moments when they are actually happening? Well with this super tiny photo printer, you will be able to do that and more. The HP Sprocket is a portable printing device where you could edit your photos with the HP Sprocket App and print them from your phone. It only weights 170 g!  How AMAZING is that?

I am loving it already and I am only half way through this review! This Limited Edition gift box contains the following items:

• HP Sprocket Photo Printer which comes with a Set-Up card, HP ZINK Sticky-Backed Photo Paper (x 10 sheets), Micro USB cable and a regulatory sheet.
• HP rose gold wallet case
• White and rose gold album
• A voucher for free personalised slim

SETTING UP THE PRINTER

Before I started to use the printer, I charged it for a little bit just in case it was not fully charged but I think it had some battery already so you can potentially start using your HP Sprocket straight away since you receive it. I would say that this is a plus when you are giving this as a present to a very enthusiastic teen that only wants to try it from the moment they receive it, LOL!

It is very easy to set it up and only takes a few minutes to do. You only need to follow 3 simple steps:

• Step 1: Power up
  Press for 2 seconds on the power button.
• Step 2: Get connected
  Connect your device to the Sprocket printer via your Bluetooth settings.
• Step 3: Load up
  Slide back the lid and place the blue card face down and the HP ZINK Photo Paper face up.

So as you can see, it is very simple. Just download the app (Apple or Android), then connect to your phone via Bluetooth and then print photos from your mobile camera roll or from your social media such as Facebook, Instagram, etc.

LOADING THE PAPER

At the start, I was wondering how such a lovely little device could print these colourful photos. It is so tiny and portable that I didn’t know where you could fit 10 x Sticky-Backed Photo Paper. It is so cleverly designed that you only need to slide a compartment at the top to the side and you will see an area where you put the sheets. I was impressed by how easy and quick this was.

What I love the most about the HP Sprocket is that you don’t need any ink. It uses ZINK technology which means that you can forget about ink. How clever is that? I absolutely love this idea. When you print your photos they come straight away looking amazingly good, like it had been printed at a shop. They don’t need time to dry either.

The size of the sheets are 5 x 7.6 cm (2 x 3 inches) which is the size of a card and they are stickable. So you can have a lot of fun with it!

EDITING PHOTOS

The HP Sprocket has a fun app where you can personalise your photos. You can do all sorts of things such as choosing a border, adding texts, emojis and more for a pop of personality on your snapshots and stickers.

I tried one of the borders (you can see above) and added it to one of Sienna’s photos and I thought it gave it a really nice touch. It makes it very personal and I will be able to keep that moment forever! This is something I thought was really nice that you can #reinventmemories of special moments or even you could also reinvent memories of your everyday moments. You make those everyday moments even more special when you personalise your photos.

I am now thinking of printing some of our photos from our trip to Peru that was super special for all of us and I will put them in the cool wallet case included in this gift box. I can’t wait to start this project!

MY THOUGHTS

I absolutely LOVE the HP Sprocket Photo Printer Limited Edition Photo Printer Gift Box. I would definitely go for the gift box instead of just the HP Sprocket because you are getting so much value for the price. It is definitely worth it. This will be a must-have gadget for the festive/gifting/winter holiday period and beyond. So I think you should put this cool gift box on your Christmas list of gift ideas and get it for a loved one!

The only downside I would say is the cost of the extra Zink Photo Paper which costs £7.26 for 20 sheets or £24.04 for 50 Zink Photo Paper. Taking everything into consideration I would say that I would still get one because it is such a cool gadget that brings all your memories together in a way that makes it priceless!
