#KCACOLS – 4th August 2019

amomentwithfranca · 3 August 2019 · 3 Comments

Welcome back to #KCACOLS. I hope you are all well! We had 32 link ups last time! THANK YOU ALL so much for being part of the linky! I really appreciate your support. For new people joining us this week, I really hope you like #KCACOLS and that you come back again next time! You can also find out more about this linky on the #KCACOLS linky page! 🙂

I felt that the last couple of weeks have gone by faster than ever! Do you feel the same way? We were away in France 2 weeks ago and we had an amazing time. Loir and Le Mans are beautiful places to visit and there are so many activities to do with kids. I will be sharing our experience soon.

We spent the first week playing at home, going to the park, trying to survive the heatwave which was hard. I was melting! I love having some sun and nice blue skies don’t get me wrong but I can’t handle too hot temperatures especially when you are not near the beach or with a garden and a puddling pool to freshen up. Coming from a warm country I am used to the heat but I was lucky to have a swimming pool which made it a completely different experience. I hope you all survive the heat too.

Sienna has been staying with her grandparents this week because Bella and I went to Devon for a couple of days to a yurt glamping site near Newton Abbot. We had a mini press trip promoting the new series of the Spirit Riding Free TV show and she had the opportunity to take a friend so it was even better for her. They did so many activities such as guessing clues to reveal codes, going on a steam train ride with an afternoon tea, Dartmoor pony riding in the middle of Dartmoor National Park, making a dream catcher, viewing party, etc. It was a blast but very tiring, LOL. Bella and I have been very relaxed after that recharging our batteries. Tomorrow we are off to her grandparents to see Sienna and she will stay with them for the week so Nick and I will be childfree for a few days. Hurrah for that!

Each link up, I love sharing a couple of photos from my last 2 weeks on Instagram, so here are two of my favourites:

#KCACOLS ON INSTAGRAM

Thank you so much for using the #KCACOLS hashtag on Instagram for all your photos. It is lovely to see your photos there! I am so excited that we have more than 12.9k photos that have used the hashtag! I am thrilled! I would love it if more of you could use the hashtag for your photos and of course it would be even better if we all also spread some love there! I am featuring 1 photo from the community that has caught my eye since the last linkup. This time I’m featuring CASSIE from Gorgeous George’s Mama. See her photo below:

KCACOLS CROWD FACEBOOK GROUP

THANK YOU to all of you that have joined the #KCACOLS CROWD Facebook Group. You can join us here. Also if you do join, please send me a direct message with the name of your blog so then I know who you are without having to figure out your blog name 🙂

NOW BACK TO THE LINKY

If you are not already subscribed to be informed of new KCACOLS Linky emails, you can click the button below to subscribe:

Send Me #KCACOLS New Linky Notifications

We had 32 linkups which seem lower than our standard amount of linkups. On Thursday we had 7 posts that needed more comments. And by Saturday we reduced this amount to 0 which was wonderful to see! Thank you, guys! 🙂

And regarding the people that have not commented on the post before theirs, we got 6 people on Thursday. By Saturday morning this number was reduced to 4 which wasn’t too bad.

Also, remember to comment on the co-hosts posts. Please also be aware that I’m BLOCKING URLs/Emails of people that have joined the linky and have not commented on any posts for consecutive weeks. If you find I have blocked you by mistake, please contact me.

FORTNIGHTLY LINKY

The linky will be open for 2 weeks until the second Wednesday at 8 pm or until we reach 100 link ups, whichever comes first.

The co-hosts and I will be allowed to change our posts on the following Saturday after the linky is live. Please be aware of these changes during the second week.

I would suggest that you link up one post each week so you will be able to share something different and current each week. I will also be more strict regarding commenting on the post before yours.

LINKY TWEETS

I’m not tweeting individual people once the linky is live but I will tweet the people that have been featured and mentioned. I’ll also post a link to the new linky post on the KCACOLS Facebook Group, pin it on my Twitter account and on my Facebook page together with some generic tweets. I will of course, email all of you the link. If you could also share it by clicking the link below that would be FABULOUS!

Tweet Me!

PLEASE REMEMBER

  • I am not pushing for the 4 comments per post anymore. I will keep showing a list of posts that have fewer comments on my Thank You email to encourage people to comment more on those but after that, I will not keep asking. It will be lovely if we can get a minimum of 2 comments per post but of course, we should be aiming for more.
  • To approve your comments and check your SPAM folders (this is such a HUGE problem for me as it keeps being part of why I can’t have a current list as I know for sure lots of posts have comments that have not been approved yet)
  • I’m expecting a minimum of 4 comments per person (1 host, 2 co-hosts and the post before yours) and if you link up 2 posts I would expect 5 comments as a minimum per person (1 host, 2 co-hosts, the posts before yours and 1 more )
  • To comment on the post before yours. If you have any problems commenting on the post before yours please just send me a message and I will do my best to help.
  • If you receive a lot of comments, try to reciprocate to the ones that have taken the time to comment on your post. It is all about being generous with each other and spreading lots of love.
  • Do not link up and run.
  • Do not forget to add the linky badge.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR NEW LINKERS:

PLEASE START by commenting on the post linked up before yours FIRST and then comment on any other posts as much as you would like. Also, use the hashtag #KCACOLS when commenting (this is indeed very important so I can then see how many comments you are doing and then be able to feature you in my linky post which is always great for you as you get a backlink which helps improve your DA).

Thank you so much for all your comments on the host posts and the linky post. As always, I have read and liked all your comments! We will do our best for you to receive a comment from someone on behalf of the linky (either the co-hosts or me).

GUEST CO-HOSTS FROM THE PREVIOUS LINK UP

I would like to say THANK YOU so much to EMMA from Me and B Make Tea and ALI from Ali’s Upside Down World for helping me with the commenting this week! They have done a great job! 🙂

GUEST CO-HOSTS FOR THIS LINK UP

My first guest co-host this week is CRYSTAL from Sharing Life’s Moments. This is the first time that Crystal is co-hosting with me and I am super excited to have her. She joined the linky properly at the start of the year and she has been linking up with us on and off. She is a Southern wife and homeschooling parent from the US. She shares on her blog many of her life lessons. She is on a mission to help other women like her to achieve their hearts desires. She wants to encourage and motivate people and give them the how-tos and resources to do it all.  Please give her some love to her social media accounts which are (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram & Pinterest). She will also be retweeting your tweets this week so please add her twitter handle (@Crystal_SLM) to your tweets as well as mine. Finally, she has a guest co-host post, The Things You Must Do When You Go Self Employed linked up too. Please if you could go there and add a comment it would be AWESOME!

My second guest co-host this week is BREAD from Queer Little Family. BREAD has already co-hosted this linky many times too. She has joined this linky for a long time which is lovely. She blogs about an LGBTQ family living on the edge of nowhere in Wales. She has a gorgeous little boy called Snappy with her wife Bethend. I am very happy to have her again! Please give some love to her social media accounts which are (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram & Pinterest). She will also be retweeting your tweets this week so please add her twitter handle (@queerxfamily) to your tweets as well as mine. Finally, she has a guest co-host post, Self Harm Scars In The Summer linked up too. Please if you could go there and add a comment it would be AWESOME!!

FEATURED POSTS – TOP 3

The first person who commented a lot was JO from A Rose Tinted World. I’m super happy to have JO at the top of the commenting list again! Brilliant! It is lovely to be able to feature her again. So grateful for all her support so far. She is lovely! She has done a great job commenting on many of your lovely posts. She has commented on 29 posts! One of her posts from the last link up was How To Make Your Own Continuous Bias Binding. Please go to the post and give some more love if you can.

The second person who commented a lot was MADELINE from This Glorious Life. I am super excited to have Madeline back not only to join us again but to be in the top 3 commenters! Yay! The last time I featured her was last year in September so it is so nice to have her here again. She has always been very kind with her commenting. She has commented on 23 posts! Thank you so much, MADELINE! Her post from last week was Screen-free ideas to keep the kids happy and entertained. Please go to her post and give her more love if you can.

Note: Just a quick note to mention that Crystal from Sharing Life’s Moments was after Madeline with 22 comments but because she is a co-host this week I am featuring Sarah-Marie who was after her)

The thirs person who commented a lot was SARAH-MARIE from Tired But Crafty Mummy. Hurrah! It is great having Sara-Marie back within the top 3 commenters! She has been very consistent for the past few weeks which is amazing to see. It makes me so happy when I see people that have joined the linky not long ago to understand how this linky works and participate even more. She has done a great job commenting on many of your lovely posts. She has commented on 15 posts! Her post from last week was Our Summer Challenge. Please visit her post and give her more love if you can.

FEATURED POSTS – TOP 6

Behind Jo, Madeline and Sarah-Mari were KAREN from Twicemicrowaved Tea with 13 comments, FIONA from Coombe Mill with 11 comments and VERONICA from Of Mice and Ramen with 10 comments. Thank you so much to all of you! 🙂

For this week’s linky I am linking up Hatchimals Pixies Review and Candylocks Sweet Treats Doll Review so I hope you like them! 😉

Please do not forget to follow and check out the #KCACOLS Pinterest Board. We have pinned all your posts from last week’s linky so please go and have a look. There are some great posts that deserve a read!

[do_widget id=”text-21″ title=false]

Now let’s carry on with the linky:

RULES:

Every 2 weeks I will choose 6 people who have commented A LOT on the linky. Three will be featured and another three will be mentioned in my fortnightly Saturday linky post. This means that 6 people will get a backlink on my new linky post every other Saturday!

1. Be sure to grab the #KCACOLS badge which can be found below or on my sidebar. Simply copy the code from the box below the badge and add it to the text/html at the bottom of your post or place it on your blog sidebar.

2. You can link up to 2 posts. I recommend you to link up one post each week to get the most of the linky.

3. You can share anything that you would like. It is open to absolutely any subject and also you can link up posts that are old or new. You are allowed to link up another linky ONLY if it is a promotional post about the linky and you can do this only once and I expect you to put my badge or a link to my linky and of course to follow the rules regarding commenting.

4. Comment on:

  • one of the hosts’ posts (choose one that you would like to comment).
  • the guest co-hosts posts.
  • the post which is linked up immediately before yours.
  • and finally, any other post that you would like to comment on.

That way everybody receives at least two comments (one from the host/guest co-hosts and one from others).

5. This linky will be open every other Saturday from 10 pm and will remain open until the following 2nd Wednesday at 08.00 pm or until we reach 100 link ups, whichever comes first.

6. If you would like us to tweet your post that is absolutely fine, just tweet your link to me @WithFranca, CRYSTAL @Crystal_SLM and BREAD @queerxfamily and we will retweet it. Please remember to use the hashtag #KCACOLS.

7. Finally, if you could please follow A Moment With Franca (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube) that would be fantastic!! 😉

I look forward to reading and commenting on your posts!! 🙂

Thank you for the mention, Franca. I participate in many blog hops and I find that yours is the only one that really works . We appreciate the effort you take to ensure that blog hoppers just don’t link and run. I can imagine the amount of time and effort you take to do this.

    Thank you, Franca!

✨Breakfast✨.Nothing like a healthy filling b ✨Breakfast✨.Nothing like a healthy filling breakfast, right? I have been trying to keep eating a good breakfast every morning to help me with my low iron! .Most days I have branflakes and sometimes weetabix but Fridays to Sundays, I make a little effort and prepare overnight oats. I love them! They are so tasty and leave me satisfy for hours which means not craving for snacks until lunch time! Win win 😀.I prepare the oats with chia seeds, almond milk, vanilla extract, honey and leave it overnight. In the morning, I serve it with strawberries, blueberries, banana and honey. ✨Happy Friday✨.Did you have a good week? Unf ✨Happy Friday✨.Did you have a good week? Unfortunately, it wasn’t that good for us because the girls have been under the weather. Bella started first with a sore throat and high fever for a few days and then when Bella got better, Sienna started! She got a horrible cough but no temperature. Her cough was that bad that she couldn’t sleep very well for a couple of nights. They are both much better now and back to school.. The weather hasn’t helped either. It has been so cold lately! I literally feel frozen all the time. Thankfully it is looking better atm as the temperatures are starting to rise. I decided to get my flu vaccine, so I hope it protects me from all these viruses that are going around! Have you had the flu vaccine too? .On another note, I went yesterday to a parents meeting about GCSE options for Bella. I can’t believe she needs to think about it already ahead of Year 9. The time really goes fast. Are your kids dealing with GCSEs too?.📸 Sharing this beautiful bouquet of flowers from @freddiesflowers to brighten up our day.#flowerarrangement #flowerdelivery #bouquetofflowers #flowersmakemehappy #loveflowers #flowersoftheday #flowersoftheweek #flowerlover #freshflowers #flowerobsession #bunchofflowers #foreverflowers #flowersofinstagram #homesweethome
