Candylocks Sweet Treats Doll Review

amomentwithfranca · 3 August 2019 · 24 Comments

My girls were so lucky that on a recent visit to a Christmas in July show, they were able to visit the Spin Master stand and check out all the new toys they have released ready for Christmas. As Bella and Sienna are lucky to get to review so many toys over the year, it is great for me to see what they do and don’t like from the new collections being released!

Bella and Sienna both got to choose a toy to bring home to review. They were really excited to get them home and open them! Sienna chose a Candylocks Sweet Treats Doll. And Bella chose a Hatchimals Pixie.

The Candylocks Sweet Treats collectable dolls come with sweet-scented hair that looks just like cotton candy! The BBF packs come with two dolls and each doll has 15 inches of cotton candy hair wrapped around them to conceal which dolls are in the pack! You have to unwrap the hair to find them. The hair is easily stylable and doesn’t come apart when played with.

The pack comes with 7 accessories and there are 4 packs of BFF’s to collect, 8 BFF dolls in total and 20 dolls in the Candylocks collection. You can shop the dolls at Smyths, Amazon or any good store.

Features

  • 1 Candylocks Doll
  • 1 BFF Pull-Apart Hair Pin Accessories
  • 1 Heart Hair Pin Accessor
  • 1 Candy Bow Hair Pin Accessory
  • 1 Hair Extension
  • 1 Hair Con
  • 1 Hair Chalk
  • 1 Collector Poster

Our Thoughts On The Candylocks BFF Dolls

The dolls are very cute and the hair is so different from any other dolls we have. You can’t actually brush it or comb it so you have to style it by twirling it. But, you can do a lot with it. you can put it in a ponytail, plait it, braid it and it still stays the same texture.

The doll is actually around 3 inches tall and the hair is 15 inches so there is more hair than a doll to play with. Sienna enjoyed discovering the doll underneath the hair. It is a fun way to disguise the doll

We weren’t sure about the exact scent it has but we think it is cotton candy smell. We also couldn’t find the doll in the collectable sheet. They are all very similar.

She found some nice accessories that were inside a blind bag. She got hairpins, hair jewels and a styling guide too. Sienna plays with it as if her Candylocks doll was Rapunzel so cute!

Bella loves anything to do with hairs so when she discovered that she was able to do braids to this doll loved it! Since then she has been playing with the doll even more than Sienna. She loved braiding her hair.

Have you come across the Candylocks Sweet Treats Doll before? What do you think? Is this something you would buy for your kids?

LOL. I agree with Lydia, I thought it was editable hair. I thought that is why she choose this one because it looked like a sweet treat attached to a doll. I can’t imagine being able to play with the hair without brushing it. However, it does look like it was able to be done and well. I would think it would be nicer if the doll was a bit bigger to go along with all that hair. However, I agree, I would have liked to have something like this growing up. #KCACOLS

Yes I know what you mean. Perhaps a little bigger doll would have been better but my girls love to do plaits to her all the time which seems to be entertaining then x

I’ve not seen a toy like this before, it would be a big hit in my house! I love how the hair hides the dolls in the packet so you have the element of surprise about which ones you’ll get. x #KCACOLS
