L.O.L. Surprise Pearl Surprise Review

My eldest daughter loves L.O.L Surprise! dolls. It was on her Christmas list last year, and luckily she got one and was over the moon when she saw it. Since then she has talked a lot about collecting more. No surprise then that she was very excited when I told her that we were going to receive a new Limited Edition L.O.L. Surprise Pearl Surprise. Just what she was asking for so long but even better because it was a Limited Edition! Yay! Happy girl!

Bella loves unboxing these dolls. Just being able to discover what comes in each layer brings her so much excitement and happiness! Bless her!

Spoiler alert: Just be aware that I will be revealing the big surprise in this review!

CARRYING CASE

When the L.O.L Surprise! package arrived we couldn’t believe how big it was. The doll that Bella got at Christmas was quite small in comparison and came in a ball shape where this one was different. It was huge and has a different shape because this one comes as a half ball. The case is a super cool turquoise colour and is covered in glitter. We both thought it looks great! The best part is that the case can be used as a purse, a storage case or a bath play-set. Very practical!

We took the L.O.L Surprise Pearl Surprise! with us when we were visiting the in-laws over the Easter weekend. We thought it would be great to unbox there and perfect for Easter.

OPENING THE CASE

Little Sienna was also around and she was really looking forward to helping Bella unbox the L.O.L Surprise Pearl Surprise. She was very excited to be able to be part of this too! It was super cute to see her face!

When Bella opened the glitter carrying case, she discovered that it had 6 pearl surprise balls that she had to open too. This is the part that Bella loved the most: discovering what was inside each ball! And this part was even before she was able to discover the even bigger surprise. Not only Bella and Sienna were super amazed by the layout of this fab toy but I was also super impressed at how cool everything was!

Inside each of the pearl surprise balls, she found the cutest accessories for the L.O.L dolls. She got two cute tiny outfits (2 skirts, 2 tops) and 2 little pairs of shoes that match the outfits. They are very easy to put on and remove.

FIZZ SHELL

Now to the part that we were all waiting for: The Fun Part! The Fizz Part! Yeey! The container which holds the 6 pearl surprises can be lifted up where you will discover the best surprise of all:  A Big Seashell Rainbow Fizz. How cool is that? It also came with an L.O.L sticker of 2 L.O.L dolls (a big sister and a little sister) which your little ones can put anywhere they like. Bella decided to stick it on the carrying case.

The idea is now to put the Seashell Rainbow Fizz into water and watch the show. It is exactly like a bath bomb but with the difference that this seashell fizz is not meant to be put inside the bath and you should not put your hands there while it is dissolving as it will temporarily colour your hands. Bella couldn’t resist and did put her hands there to try and speed the process. Thankfully it was okay.

The shape of the carrying case means you can put the container on the flat lid which has an area to sit it on there. You should fill it with water below the line of bubbles inside the container and use that for dissolving the seashell fizz. We didn’t understand this part of the instructions so we dissolved the seashell in the kitchen sink. The whole experience was amazing! We all loved it and it looked so cool when it was fizzing in the water. The colours were fantastic! Honestly, this was so much fun!

BIG REVEAL

After all the fizz was over, we were able to see a lovely Seashell. Bella got super excited at this point because she was so desperate to find out what was inside the seashell. So now what was going to happen?

She dried it off and opened it gently above a towel. She then saw 3 little wrapping bags containing not one but 2 L.O.L dolls! A big sister, a little sister and a bottle. Bella was over the moon when she found out she had 2 dolls! She then put them in their clothes and shoes that she got from the 6 pearl surprise balls. You can stand the big sister doll in the seashell for a nice display. The dolls are very cute! The good thing is that all the accessories, as well as the 2 dolls, fit back into the shell it came in.

CHANGING COLOUR

Another interesting feature is that the dolls change colour if you put them in water. Bella wanted to do this too so this time we did use the container provided. Bella took off the doll’s clothes and shoes and placed them in the water.

We immediately started seeing a difference as they started changing colour. It was so cool to watch. The little sister’s hair and dummy also changed their colour. This was a lot of fun for the girls!

The L.O.L Surprise Pearl Surprise! costs £29.99 and you can get it from most toy retailers such as The Entertainer, Argos, Smyths, Tesco, Amazon, etc. This playset is not suitable for children under the age of 3 years due to small parts which could cause a choking hazard.

OUR THOUGHTS

My girls loved this limited edition L.O.L Surprise Pearl Surprise! Bella in particular enjoyed every single stage of the process of revealing each surprise. The surprise factor is everywhere in this toy which creates so much excitement for the girls. The fizz part is for sure the best part. I thought that was brilliant and very entertaining. Also discovering 2 dolls instead of one was a treat for my girls. The whole idea of revealing new surprises is super cool. I am sure your little ones will love the surprises and treasures hidden in LOL Surprise Pearl Surprise! as much as my girls did.
