I’m going to start sharing some of the things I have learned and picked up since starting my journey as a blogger. I always find these kinds of tips so useful so I hope that by sharing a few of these things I can help out other bloggers.
As this is my first blogging tip, I’m going to keep it very simple. I recently wanted to share a link to my site on some of my social media but I realised that the information I wanted to link to was not at the top of the page, it was much further down in a specific post. Just sharing the page link was not going to be good enough as anyone who clicked it would still need to find the relevant information buried amongst lots of other information in the page.
The solution to this problem is to create an anchor at the particular point in the page or post where the required information is located. To link to an anchor you need to:
Create the anchor.
The code is as simple as is shown in the box below. Replace ‘myanchor’ with whatever you like.
Create a link pointing to the anchor
You can then create a link like you would normally do – just put the name of your anchor to the link at the end. In our example, this would be ‘#myanchor’.
Working Example
Coming back to why I wanted to use this, I needed to link directly to a competition widget that appeared towards of the bottom of my page. The competition is no longer active but my link below still works and shows how I was able to link directly to where the widget appeared.
Link Direct to Competition Widget in Blog Post
Anyway, I hope you found this useful, let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
Thanks for stopping by,
Love you all ❤️

Great tip Franca! I am so horrible when it comes to coding. I even tried taking an online tutorial which did nothing but confuse me lol. This seems very straightforward and I will be using it for reference in the future. Thank you so much for linking up with #momsterslink. Hope to see you again this week!
