Optimalprint – Keep Your Memories Alive Through Flipbooks

amomentwithfranca · 14 October 2017 · 14 Comments

I love taking photos on my phone. Wherever I go, I try to capture the moment so I can remember it forever. The advent of smartphones with great cameras means we can take better pictures so there is no need for dedicated cameras to be able to capture those special or everyday moments. I have all my photos on my phone or within my social media, but I don’t tend to print them because of lack of time!

Being able to create photo albums easily and get them printed in a beautiful photo book and delivered quickly is definitely something that, of course, encourages to print more photos so I can keep those memories alive. This is exactly the service that Optimalprint are offering.

They recently contacted us introducing their latest product. They were very keen for us to try it too. I was happy to because printing my photo albums is something I would love to have more time to do.

We recently had a special family celebration as it was my father in law’s 70th birthday. This was a very special birthday as you don’t turn 70 every day. He doesn’t have special parties for all his birthdays but this time decided he wanted to celebrate it with a 3-course silver meal organised at his home. It was just with immediate family but I think that this made it even more special. We have recently had a new addition to the family so he now has 4 grandchildren so it was a really nice occasion to get us all together for a lovely celebration. We had such a lovely time together that I thought why not keep those memories alive by creating an album of that day for him! I was sure this present would be something he would be very happy to receive that he can keep forever!

FLIPBOOKS

One of their new products is a photo book service called “Flipbooks” which focuses on delivering great ease of use, and mobile experience, quality, and affordable prices. It is basically, a quick everyday photo book.

You can upload pictures from your device, any cloud storage or social media such as Facebook or Instagram and create a Flipbook in under 5 minutes. How fabulous is that? Their online app takes the date, location and caption from each of your digital photos and adds them automatically to your Flipbook.

The idea of this service is that you don’t waste any time as you already have a busy life. It’s all about simplicity. One picture per page is allowed which includes the cover. Their online edit tool lets you change the book title, its font size, style and position within the cover page.

MAKING OUR FLIPBOOK

It is very easy to do. You just open their website on your mobile and it will automatically show you a mobile-friendly version of their site. Just follow the instructions and you will be able to quickly create your photo book.

First, register so you have a login. Then upload all the photos you want to include in the flipbook and then organise them. You can keep the date and location or remove it if you prefer. I then chose the cover photo and set the title.

I was able to see the album online immediately and I was also allowed to share it at no extra cost. I can arrange it to be sent to my own address or as a gift to someone else’s at their home address. I chose it to be sent to my home address, that way, next time I see my father in law I will give it to him in person which I think it will be a really lovely surprise. Also I would love to see his face when he sees it! This moment will be priceless!

OTHER GREAT FEATURES

  • One size only. To keep things simple you only get one size, which is 20cmx20cm, so when you are making your photo book you just go straight to the fun part which is choosing all your photos and organising them.
  • Price simplicity. You can upload from Facebook or Instagram, from any cloud storage or directly from your mobile. Easy peasy! The software sorts the photos chronologically and adds the date and location automatically as a caption on the page and suggests a cover page. It is also very easy to customise your title, reorder pages and add or remove photos. You can do this all from your mobile in under 5 minutes.
  • Social. They have created a sharing feature allowing you to design a digital book for free and which you can send digitally to your family and friends so they can enjoy it too. Your family and friends can view, edit, and print it too if they want to. I think this is great!
  • Print option and quick delivery. You can print a copy on quality paper in a 20×20 cm square format. You can choose a soft or hard cover. The best part is that you will receive your photo book within 7 days.
  • Fun. Also, once created digitally, you can enjoy the book anytime from your mobile which will be located on your personal Optimalprint Library. The digital version is fun to flip through with the feeling of a real book on your mobile device, tablet or computer.  I really like this feature.

PRICE & VOUCHER CODE

The idea of “Flipbooks” is to create beautiful “everyday photo books”, with a fixed price regardless of the number of pages. You can have up to 60 pages for £24.00. If you would prefer a fancy hard cover like mine, you can upgrade it for just £5.

If you would like to try out this service, Optimalprint are kindly offering a discount for my readers via a special code. So if you type the discount code Franca50 you can get 50% off when you purchase a Flipbook through Optimalprint. This is valid until Oct 31st. Fantastic, right?

OUR THOUGHTS

I loved trying this service. It is very easy and simple to use. You just create, flip, print and share it in under 5 minutes. I really like the simplicity of it. We have busy lives so we just don’t want to complicate ourselves even more. The service really simplifies the creation process of photo books. Flipbooks are also a lovely way to send a perfect gift to your loved ones like in my case, this lovely photo book will make a nice surprise for my father in law!

The album is of a high-quality standard. I like how they have done the inside of the photobook. The photos are nicely printed on each page rather than expanded to cover the whole page. I have tried other photobook services in the past and the photos covered the whole page so some of my photos were not cropped correctly. I have also had problems in the past when a photo was taken vertically as it would just show part of the photo but this issue doesn’t happen with Optimalprint which is great! So far, I am very impressed with the results. I wasn’t expecting to receive such lovely flipbook! It went above my expectations! I can highly recommend the Optimalprint service.

Also, another thing to highlight is that Optimalprint have received the highest ratings for customer satisfaction in the industry which is a 9.6 rating out of 10 from 27,000 customer reviews in the UK via Trustpilot. I thought this was amazing!

Do you like to create and print photo albums? Have you heard of Optimalprint? Let me know if you try their service using the discount code!

✨My Girls✨.Due to the strikes we had Sienna ✨My Girls✨.Due to the strikes we had Sienna at home yesterday and today, and Bella only today. I thought it would be very chaotic but despite it always being louder when the girls are at home, especially my youngest one, lol, we did well..Bella did school work at home today and had the afternoon free. Sienna didn’t do school work. We only asked her to carry on doing Spanish and Maths via Duolingo. She also had Spanish lessons this afternoon (every Thursday she has lessons) so both days were manageable thankfully 😍.How was it for you? Did your kids stay at home or did they go to school? .PS: let’s hope things get better for teachers. ✨Peruvian Suspiro Limeño✨."Suspiro Limeño" ✨Peruvian Suspiro Limeño✨."Suspiro Limeño" is one of my favourite Peruvian desserts. When I was In Peru, I of course, made sure to have it not only once but several times 😉.This dessert is made of manjar blanco (milk, sugar, almond flour, egg yolks, vanilla) and meringue (egg whites, port, cinnamon) 😘.The history behind this dessert starts with Amparo Ayarza who was the creator. Her husband, José Gálvez Barrenechea was a poet and was the one who gave it its name. The poet called it "Suspiro de Limeña", which means, 'Sigh of a Lima lady', because it is soft and sweet like the sigh of a woman. Love this 🥰.Have you ever tried "Suspiro Limeño"? Or have you heard of it before? Would you try it? .📸 Picture taken @panchitasazoncriolla in Lima that has one of the best versions of this dessert 🙌🏻.#suspirolimeño #peruviandessert #meringue #merengue #desserttime #dessertlover #dessertpic #dessertgram #peruvianfood #cocinaperuana #gastronomiaperuana #perufood #peruviancousine #whatisfordessert #dessertsofinstagram
