Playmobil Carrying Case Shop Review

amomentwithfranca · 8 March 2016 · 25 Comments

I was lucky to be able to go to the Toy Fair UK 2016 back in January where I got an appointment to have a chat with the lovely people at Playmobil. They were at the stand Gallery 210 and they were showing their latest toys for 2016. It was a massive stand and full of amazing new toys. We love Playmobil at home, especially Bella. She has already a few toys from them and she can be hours playing with them. After that appointment we were very lucky that they were happy to work with us and now we have received our first toy to review!! YAAY!! HURRAH!! We are just so excited!! 😉

Carrying Case Shop 2

Carrying Case Shop 1

We received one of their latest Carrying Cases “Shop” from their latest theme collection called City Life. This is just the most fun idea to be able to bring your toy when you are out and about.

When we received the box, Bella was very excited to open it and find out what was inside. She was so happy when she saw that it was a shop set. “Wow” she said, lol.

Playmobil Carrying Case Shop collage 2

She immediately wanted to open all the small little plastic bags that contain each items to build this set. Just please be careful with the little bags as if you leave your child unattended they can open it and mess with all the pieces and then you will not be able to build it properly. Also if you have kids younger than 3 years old, be aware that there are lost of small pieces. We were lucky that Sienna was at nursery (18 months) so we were able to build it with no worries.

Playmobil City Life Carry Case - contend

The set comprised of a Playmobil shop assistant with a range of stylish clothes to offer to the shopper, including dresses and skirts, cute purses and handbags, perfumes, clothing mannequins, full-length mirror, checkout counter, perfume, sale signs, and additional accessories. The clothes can be swapped and changed on the figures. They also include simple instructions that we found great to follow too.

You will find everything you need to be able to play “shop” with your daughter. Bella was able to build some parts of this set, however I had to help her as there were parts that she wasn’t sure about. I had so much fun playing with her and helping her to put all the pieces together. I felt like I was 5 years old again, LOL!

Playmobil Carrying Case Shop collage 7

This is definitely a great set for young girls to play with. Bella played for hours and told me that she had so much fun. She also mentioned that what she liked the most was playing with me!! Aww isn’t she adorable? I would have to say thank you to Playmobil for enabling us to have some lovely mummy-daughter time!! That was precious. Hopefully we can be lucky enough to get to unbox more toys from them, 😉

Each figure can transform her look with interchangeable clothing options that snap on. Bella really loves this feature. She kept changing the figures all the time and thought that this was super fun. I love that this set also encourages learning through role play.

Playmobil Carrying Case Shop collage 4

One of the main features of this set is that everything is stored in a convenient take-along case. This is extremely practical as Bella was able to play this at home or when she was out and about. We got this lovely carry case just when Bella was going to spend some lovely time with her grandparents during half term, so we made sure she had it with her. She was really excited about being able to play with it at her grandparents.

The case is strong so it will keep all the pieces safe. We were so pleased with this carry case – it is great for holidays or even if we are just going out for dinner as she can play with it easily now that all the pieces are in one place. This product is a win win. As you can see from the photo above it is very easy to carry. Bella is my gorgeous model! Isn’t she cute?

We did a short video when we were unboxing and putting the set together. Please watch the video below or via YouTube:

We really recommend this carry case set to you. I’m sure your kids would love it. If you are looking for a carry case sets that might appeal more to boys, do go and browse their website for more options.

What do you think of this carry case? Do you have something similar? What do you think of the fact it is easy to store and transport? Please leave a comment below as I would love to read what you think.

Disclaimer: I was sent the Carrying Case Shop from Playmobil in exchange for an honest review. All the opinions are my own.

Thanks for stopping by,

Love you all ❤️

What a lovely little set and what a great opportunity for you to be working with them! I love the look of the playmobil ranges and Ella was lucky enough to get one for christmas. However, I noticed like you have pointed out, that a lot of the pieces are quite small and so I think she may be a little young for them yet. That said, she seems to be ok playing with them and knows not to put the pieces in her mouth etc, but you can never be too careful so I do worry about her playing with this whilst she is still quite young. I think for Bella though, she is probably the perfect age 🙂 Emily #KCACOLS

So cute! I love how detailed the Playmobil sets are now. Marianna’s too young for playmobil yet, but I have quite a few of the micro playmobil sets in my doll house. I was so sad when they discontinued them! x #KCACOLS

There is so much to love about this set – Playmobil was one of my favourites when I was a kid, it is such good quality. We get it out now for my son and it is still going strong. I also love the fact you can pack it all into a case – perfect for taking out with you and storage from a parent’s perspective.

However, I do think it’s a shame that they market the sets so directly towards boys or girls. They never used to do that. Why couldn’t they have a boy mannequin in there too? It just seems to exclude boys from wanting to play with it, which is unnecessary. My son was looking at the pictures and he thought it looked really fun, but when he saw that the models and clothes were all female he thought he couldn’t play with it 🙁 It is a bit of a bugbear of mine, and Playmobil are far from the only toy manufacturer that do it!

That said, it looks great, your daughter (and you) clearly enjoyed it, and £9.99 is very good value!

I love Playmobil toys, partly because they remind me of my childhood! I think they are really well made and this carry case makes it perfect for when you have to go on trips away, it would also be good for going on a plane and to the airport as it would keep little ones amused #KCACOLS

Such a cute little set. I love those mannequins, such an original concept. The carry case is such a brilliant idea too, so many small toys come with flimsy, throw-away cardboard boxes.
    Great post!

Your daughter is so cute! Looks like she had an amazing time playing with this set. My son loves Playmobil and is currently obsessed with the NHL hockey set. We bought him the rink for the holidays and his Aunt bought him a few players. He plays a make believe hockey game every morning (makes it difficult to get out of the house on time 🙂 #KCACOLS

I love it! My little one is too young, but not long now and she will adore it.
My son would love a boy equivalent, he loves Playmobil and has the Police Station.
This solves the problem of how to keep them entertained in restaurants etc.
Your daughter is gorgeous. Loved the video x #KCACOLS

That looks fab! I’m definitely a fan of the carrycase, everything in our house just ends up all over the place, or under the sofa so things don’t stay as a set for very long! The little lady definitely looks happy with it too! #KCACOLS xx

✨ Cat Cafe In London✨.📍Bella and I went t ✨ Cat Cafe In London✨.📍Bella and I went to @javawhiskersuk , a cat cafe located in @westfieldlondon . This was my present for Mother’s Day from her🌸.🌟 Before we went inside, we had to go to a separate room to wash our hands and remove our shoes..🐾 They have 2 different rooms: the Cat Lounge and the Kitten Lounge and you can choose to stay from 55 mins to 1hr 55 mins. The prices vary depending on the room you choose and the length of time..🍰 When we stepped inside the room we were greeted by a group of gorgeous kittens. We ordered (before we went inside the room) a latte and a delicious chocolate muffin with chocolate melted inside that was so good. This was served to us in the room while we were surrounded by these adorable kittens..🐱 We spent 55 mins playing and petting the kittens. They were so cute. We loved interacting with them..🥰 Their cafe is also a foster home for homeless cats so if you are looking to adopt one, this is the place to visit! They have had 230 successful adoptions already! 🙌🏻.🚨 The only downside is that you have to be over 10 years old in order to be allowed inside the rooms 😬.🐈 If you are a cat lover like us, I highly recommend you visit Java Whiskers! It is the perfect place to unwind and relax with these beautiful kittens! 🙌🏻.Have you visited a Cat Cafe before? 🐈‍⬛ .#javawhiskers #catcafe #catcafelondon #londoncafe #westfieldlondon #londondayout #daysout #thingstodoinlondon #newplaces #londonguide #lovecats😻 #catsofinstagram #catloversday #londonthingstodo #whatsonlondon

I thought it would be very chaotic but despite it always being louder when the girls are at home, especially my youngest one, lol, we did well..Bella did school work at home today and had the afternoon free. Sienna didn’t do school work. We only asked her to carry on doing Spanish and Maths via Duolingo. She also had Spanish lessons this afternoon (every Thursday she has lessons) so both days were manageable thankfully 😍.How was it for you? ✨Peruvian Suspiro Limeño✨."Suspiro Limeño" ✨Peruvian Suspiro Limeño✨."Suspiro Limeño" is one of my favourite Peruvian desserts. When I was In Peru, I of course, made sure to have it not only once but several times 😉.This dessert is made of manjar blanco (milk, sugar, almond flour, egg yolks, vanilla) and meringue (egg whites, port, cinnamon) 😘.The history behind this dessert starts with Amparo Ayarza who was the creator. Her husband, José Gálvez Barrenechea was a poet and was the one who gave it its name. The poet called it "Suspiro de Limeña", which means, 'Sigh of a Lima lady', because it is soft and sweet like the sigh of a woman. Love this 🥰.Have you ever tried "Suspiro Limeño"? Or have you heard of it before?
