Portable North Pole Magic Pass Review

amomentwithfranca · 6 December 2016 · 38 Comments

I love Christmas – it is always a nice time of the year. I always try to make the time more magic for my girls. If you follow my blog, you might know that we have started celebrating Christmas already. We went to Lapland UK not long ago and my girls visited Santa for the first time this year. It was a magical day for all of us. Since then my girls have been receiving calls and videos directly from Santa in the North Pole. In order to do that, we have been trying the Portable North Pole Magic Pass for the past few weeks and we have been loving it.

Portable North Pole Magic Pass Review

For all of you that have not heard of The Portable North Pole (PNP) site, it allows Santa to send personalised video messages to children and adults all around the world. More than 150 million video messages from the PNP digital platforms have been viewed by Santa fans around the world since its launch in 2008. I thought this was fantastic!

Portable North Pole videos come in two main types: Christmas and birthday greetings which are free to use. You can also buy a Video Pass or Magic Pass to get more Santa screen time, extra personalisation options, more photos and incredible scenes from his village in the North Pole. Plus the long-anticipated Santa’s Verdict that lets your loved one know if they are on Santa’s Naughty or Nice list.

We have been very lucky to be able to review the Magic Pass. It has a lot of different options to personalise your calls and videos. It is really amazing to see how your kids react to a call or video from Santa, especially after meeting him already!

PNP is also available on mobile phones and tablets via a free downloadable mobile application. This app is compatible with Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod) as well as most Android phones and tablets. The PNP mobile app features access to the Free and Premium videos, exclusive games, synchronisation with your own account on the web and much more.

The Magic Pass (which bought now, lasts until October 2017) costs £9.99 and offers:

  • Unlimited Premium Videos
  • The Reaction Recorder
  • Unlimited Santa Calls
  • HD downloads
  • Storytime with Santa
  • And you can get a Santa-Approved Certificate to print for each of your videos

You actually get quite a few things which I think makes is good value for money.

pnp-parents-kids-corner

The website and app are very easy to use. You have the parent’s corner and the kids corner on the app version. You should use a password to access the parents corner. This way your kids will not discover that you are behind the making of calls and videos so you get to keep the magic alive.

To personalise the videos and calls you only need to put your child’s name and a nickname, their birthday and a photo. You can specify if the child is a boy or a girl too. Also, it has the spelling-sound of your child’s name so then he can pronounce it properly.

pnp-personalizing-a-call

You can add multiple children to your account, so I added both my girls. I guess you could also add other kids in your family if you would like them to also receive a call or video from Santa. One feature that I like a lot is that you can choose which phone number you want Santa to use to call your little one. I have chosen my mobile, Nick’s mobile and the home number. It worked really well on all of them.

What I like the most is that you can choose from so many different messages for Santa to use according to your child’s behaviour. This is so handy, so when my girls have been naughty, I was immediately able to setup a personalised call from Santa to tell them, for example, that they need to try harder to behave better or that they should listen to their parents, etc. The list is big.

pnp-personalizing-videos

For the videos, you can also personalise it with lots of photos and key information that makes the video even more realistic. I really love this personalisation and I have definitely been having so much fun using it. When you do videos you receive an email confirmation and a reminder that your video can be viewed via a mobile app too. This message can be sent to you or your relative’s e-mail and can also be saved in HD to watch whenever you want to. It is really great!

We filmed a short video of Sienna listening to one of the calls from Santa that we created for her. Her reaction is so cute! You can watch the video below:

As you can see she was really excited and of course, we were too! It was great just to see her happy face as she listened to everything Santa had to say to her.

Have you heard of The Portable North Pole before? Have your tried it? If so, did you like it and what features did you like the most? If not, would you like to try it out too? Please leave a comment below as I would love to read what you think.

*Disclaimer: I was given a special code in order to review The Portable North Pole (PNP) site. However, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Thanks for stopping by,

Love you all ❤️

I’ve used the free version of this before and will be using it again this year it’s absolutely the best one out there. I almost believed when I saw the video it put together from just a few of my girl’s details. Sienna is so cute on that vid “santa called me!” bless her. 🙂

Oh this looks amazing! And she is just too cute! My husband loves things like this. He tracks santa every year (even before our little man was born!) and gets really into it. He’d love to get involved with this. Will have to show him in the morning so that he can add it to his list of Christmasy things to do! Thanks! #KCACOLS

We have the PNP App and have used it to allow Little L to contact Santa via video. At 2.5yo I’m not sure how much of Santa he understands so I wasn’t sure how he’d respond to the video but he was incredibly cute, getting excited when he saw his picture and nodding to everything Santa said! I think it’s a great idea. We haven’t paid for the extras yet as the video is enough for him at the moment but in future years I might! #KCACOLS

I have used the free video a few times and the kids were so excited to receive it! This year the free one isn’t very good and I did consider this, but I have to say, didn’t follow through! It’s not too late though so I may look at it again! #KCACOLS

I love the PNP app, we’ve use the free version this year for Max who is 2 and he adores it. I’d say he’s watched the video message so many times that I can quote the script word for word. It doesn’t really help with behaviour because Max has no clue really but its good for when he has his bum changed 🙂 #kcacols

I love how it has evolved and will no doubt do this next year for Benjamin. #KCACOLS
