Puppy in my Pocket Review

amomentwithfranca · 18 May 2016 · 39 Comments

If you have kids, especially girls like me you would probably have heard about the adorable Puppy in my Pocket. They have been a favourite of girls for many years and 2016 will see it return to its collectable best. With more than 100 miniature Puppies to collect, including ultra-rare glitter puppies, these soft flocked characters each has its own name and unique bio based upon realistic dog breeds. How awesome is that?

Puppy in my Pocket FI

My daughter Bella loves animals and she has been asking for a dog lately so what better way to have some fun with these cute little puppies!

We made a video of Bella unboxing it, which you can see below:

Now you can read the full review below 🙂

We were so lucky to receive their whole range. They sent us 4 blind packs from Series 1, a Clip on Pouch and the Puppy Play Park playset.  She was over the moon when she saw it all. I decided to hide it until her birthday so she then she had an extra cool present. She loved it so much that I was so pleased to have saved it until then.

1. Blind Packs (Has a Retail Price of £2.49)

Blind Packs

We both love these blind packs. The surprise factor is the best in my opinion. You never know what puppy will be inside. We got 4 packs so Bella was super lucky to get 4 new puppies to play with. Each pack comes with a leaflet tick list with the information of each puppy within their 4 series. Each puppy has a name and the detail of their breed so you are then able to check what you got and what other ones are left to still collect. The 4 puppies we received were from Series 1. I know now for sure that I will be buying more of these packs so Bella can build the complete collection of puppies with over 100 in the series. She is desperate to find one of the ultra-rare glittery pups! They look awesome – I think I would even like to get one of them, 😉

The puppies are very well made and incredibly detailed which makes it easier to recognise the breed. It’s very high quality compared to many small collectibles on the market. They are soft to touch which makes the experience even more real. These puppies are not just for girls as little boys will also love to collect them too. They are just so cute!

2. Clip On Pouch (Has a Retail Price of £9.99)

Clip On Pouch 3

This was by far Bella’s favourite. The idea of being able to show off her puppies to her friends at school was extremely exciting for her. Each clip comes with a perfect travel pouch making it possible to take it with her wherever she goes. Each pack comes with five puppies and is available in three different colours! We got the blue colour which is a shame as it would have been perfect to get the purple or the pink one.

Inside this pack, you also get another 5 puppies to add to the collection. It is great value for money as you get a lot for the amount. How great is that?

3. Dog Park Playset (Has a Retail Price of 19.99)

Playset 1

Playset 2

Last but not least, we got the Dog Park Playset. After getting all these gorgeous puppies you need a place for them to play so this playset is perfect for that. You get two exclusive Puppies included so you can take Titus the English Mastiff and Jackson the Labradoodle on the tire swing, see-saw and jump them over the hydrant hurdle. You can feed them with a bone (you get 2 little bones so watch for the little ones under 3 years old) using the dispenser that releases treats to the puppies or give them some water from their little bowl.

The Dog Park Playset is great, with lots of colours and activities for the puppies to do, keeping your children entertained for hours. This makes the perfect set for any Puppy in my Pocket Fan!

Bella loved playing with them and we have now heard that there will be a Kitty in My Pocket launched later this year. Bella and I are cat lovers so we can’t wait to check them out too! Just a note that Puppy in my Pocket collection is not suitable for children under the age of 3 years due to small parts which could be a choking hazard.

You can get the blind packs, the Clip on Pouch and the Puppy Play Park playset from Amazon, Toys R Us and Smyths.

Have you heard of Puppy in my Pocket before? What do you think of this collection? Do you like the idea of having collectable puppies? Will you get them for your children to have some fun? Have you had something similar before? Leave a comment below as I would love to read what you think.

Disclaimer: I was sent this playset in exchange for an honest review, however all the opinions are my own.

Thanks for stopping by,

Love you all ❤️

Franca  💋
