Bahlsen Biscuits Review

amomentwithfranca · 5 May 2016 · 178 Comments

We love chocolates and biscuits at home. So if we can combine both would be just like being in heaven! And this is how we felt when we got the opportunity to review the latest range of delicious biscuits from Bahlsen which include different flavour combinations. And I know what you are thinking, yes lucky us!! 😉

Bahlsen Biscuits Review

When I received their parcel, I was super surprised to see all the amount of biscuits they sent!! We got their complete latest range. They have delicious biscuits for every occasion – from their decadent Choco Leibniz biscuits to their convenient PICK UP! biscuits.

Bahlsen Biscuit Full Range

For all of you that haven’t heard of Bahlsen before, they are a German family-run business providing delicious biscuits for over 125 years. Their headquarters is in Hannover and they are the market leader for cakes and biscuits in Germany and one of the leading manufacturers of sweet biscuits in Europe.

I was also very happy to find out that they support sustainable cocoa farming with UTZ-certified cocoa. I thought this was fantastic! High five for that!

1. Bahlsen Biscuits Choco Leibniz

Bahlsen Choco Leibniz Full Range

These are just delicious and perfect to have with your cup of tea or just on their own. They come in 5 different flavours: milk, caramel, white, dark and orange. These biscuits are perfect to share when you are having a family gathering or you have some friends over, to share with your kids or with your hubby or even if you just want them only for you! LOL, you will always look great after sharing them! If I were you I will stack them in the kitchen so you always have something fancy and delicious to offer when you have those last-minute visits. 😉

Bella with all Choco Leibniz range

I told Bella that we got these biscuits and that she would be my taster. She was over the moon to have that role and of course to do the most important part which was:  to try them! We decided to do like a little party. So she brought some party bowls and we started our little tea party! 😉

Bella opened the first box and we immediately notice that there were 9 biscuits in each box. They all come with chocolate wrapped around their original butter biscuit. The chocolate provided was very thick. It was a fair amount which surprised me as you don’t normally get that. I thought this was delicious and made a huge difference with other biscuits.

When you bite it, it feels so fresh and crispy but at the same time so chocolatey when you taste it!! Just a total pleasure to indulge yourself. I absolutely love it!

They are all delicious. The first we tried was the milk chocolate and that one was my favourite. And I think it is because it is just the simple one but at the same time the classic one of all. This one was the first we finished at home.

Bahlsen Biscuits Choco Leibniz Caramel

Then we tried the caramel flavour. This one was also a favourite at home. This box was eaten by all my family including little Sienna. I must say this one didn’t last one day.

Bahlsen Biscuits Choco Leibniz Orange

The next one we tried was the orange flavour. This was surprisingly good and I was not expecting it because I don’t really like orange chocolate. Bella loved it and she ate a few from the box.

Bahlsen Biscuits Choco Leibniz Dark

She then opened the dark chocolate flavour. I must admit that this one was the least of my favourites and that was down to the only reason which is that I don’t like dark chocolate at all. Bella on the other hand loved it and ate a few.

Bahlsen Biscuits Choco Leibniz White

The last one was a different one. This one was their white chocolate flavour. It has creamy white chocolate wrapped around a crisp cocoa biscuit. I love white chocolate and chocolate biscuits so I really enjoyed these biscuits.

2. PICK UP!

Full PICK UP! Range

I love the PICK UP! range. It was perfect for taking with you to eat at a later moment. It is great to be able to pack it and have a treat later. They come in 5 individually wrapped packs which I thought was really practical. So you can take one and have it later as a snack. How great is that!

PICK UP! Biscuit

I used to put one in my bag and bring it with me and give it to Sienna after picking her up from nursery. She just loved it!!! It is the perfect on-the-go snack.

They come in 4 different flavours: milk chocolate, choco and caramel, black and white and dark chocolate. These biscuits are a mouth-watering slab of thick chocolate sandwiched between two crisp biscuits. They are individually wrapped, locking in the freshness and perfect for when you’re on the go.

PICK UP! Mil Chocolate

PICK UP! Milk Chocolate

Again with this range, you get a massive chocolate inside. It really comes with a lot which makes it even more delicious. My favourite again was milk chocolate. I must have to confess that this pack was the first one I opened and that I ate all 5 individual packs in one afternoon!! It was my real guilty pleasure!!

PICK UP! Dark Chocolate

PICK UP! Dark Chocolate

The least that I like was again the dark chocolate but because I don’t eat dark chocolate. Having said that I actually ate one pack and it was fine so I guess dark chocolate lovers will be over the moon with this one.

PICK UP! Choco & Caramel

PICK UP! Choco & Caramel

The choco and caramel were also very delicious. My girls like this one a lot. You can never go wrong with chocolate and caramel together!

PICK UP! Black’n White

PICK UP! Black & White

The one that caught my eye was the black and white flavour. It is a delicious white chocolate bar sandwiched between two crisp chocolate flavour biscuits. I really enjoyed this one too. As I mentioned before I am a very good fan of white chocolate and this biscuit was really yummy!

The most interesting fact is that each pack have 143 calories. How amazing is that after you are eating such a huge biscuit with massive chocolate? So it is just a dream!

Bahlsen Biscuits Full range

We all love Bahlsen biscuits. They are perfect for any occasion and they are also high-quality biscuits. You can share them or you can just keep them for yourself if you are in a naughty mood! We all here can highly recommend them to you, 😉

Bella eating more Bahlsen Biscuits

You can buy the Bahlsen Biscuits in Asda, Tesco, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s and Waitrose. So what are you waiting for, go and treat yourself to some Choco Leibniz or PiCK UP!

You can find more information about Bahlsen on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

What do you think of these biscuits? Have you tried Bahlsen before? Which flavour is your favourite? Would you get them next time you have some guests at home? Or will you take them with you as a snack?

*Disclaimer: I received this bundle of biscuits in exchange for an honest review. This review is my own opinion and is a genuine representation of what I think.

Thanks for stopping by,

Love you all ❤️

Yes I’ve heard of Bahlsen Biscuits and I’m not ashamed to say that I have indulged in them once or twice!! I hadn’t heard of the pick ups though and really like the thought of the milk chocolate ones!

Sienna’s 9th birthday took an unexpected turn when she cut her thumb, and we spent some time in the ER getting a single stitch. 😢 But she’s a trooper and handled it like a champ..Despite this, we still managed at the start of that first week to soak up some sun, enjoy the pool, watch beautiful sunsets, and take in the incredible views.
