Review – Snackeez 2-in-1 Snack and Drink cup!

amomentwithfranca · 21 March 2016 · 14 Comments

I received a super cool new product from Character Options to review which is the Snackeez. Have you heard of it or seen it on TV? Snackeez is a revolutionary way to take food and drink together in one convenient unit without the mess and fuss of multiple containers! How useful is that?

This new collection from Character Options is the ideal accessory for break times, picnics or trips out and about with friends and family. It is aimed at both boys and girls aged 4 years and over and can be used by adults too! Yes I absolutely love this product and since it arrived I have been using it despite Bella telling me that it should be for her and not for me, LOL! I told her that we can share it haha!!

How it works

Each Snackeez design features a clever flip top container inside a drinks cup so kids, and adults, can take their favourite juice and snacks together in one handy cup. Each cup is brightly coloured and features a handy grip too. We received the pink and blue colour which I like a lot.

The flip top container fits snuggly within the cup and holds 115ml of contents and can be filled with fruits, nuts or any other snack to be taken on-the-go. I have been trying it with different types of fruit lately as that is what I fancied having the most, like banana, strawberries, grapes, apples, kiwi, etc which is really healthy. You could also try cereal, yoghurts, raisins, pop corn, etc, but of course you can also be very naughty and put small biscuits, crisps, sweets, chocolates, etc. The list is endless!! Whatever you fancy really!!

The cup itself holds up to 450ml liquid and includes a handy straw and can be filled with any drink you like. I got a nice vanilla milkshake the other day which I poured into the Snackeez and it was great! You can put any liquid there that you fancy, like water, juices, smoothies, fizzy drinks, etc.

The tight seal will prevent spills or accidents, even when moving around in a school bag or on the way to work, and it also keeps food and drink fresher for longer. It is very secure but obviously you need to be careful to not turn it all upside down as the straw does not come with a lid or something to stop leaking.

What’s in Yours?

During the month of April the makers will be running a #WhatsinyourSnackeez Campaign on Twitter where you can let them know what favourite drink and snack you would include in your Snackeez. This sounds fun, right?

What’s more

Avid fans of Star Wars, Shopkins and Frozen will be delighted to know that they can also snack happy with Snackeez Junior! Available from early autumn, these slightly smaller cups feature all the great elements you’d expect from the original Snackeez, with added designs from the hit films and top girls collectable Shopkins. How fantastic is that?

Snackeez will be on display at the BBC Good Food Show Summer (16th-19th June) at the NEC, so kids and adults can see the wonder of Snackeez for themselves.

My thoughts

I think the Snackeez is a really clever idea as you can have your drink and snack all in one container and just use one hand to hold it. This is of course very practical. The way that they have secured the snack inside the liquid is very good so it really avoids having any mess especially with children as they always spill everything.

It’s a shame that the straw didn’t have a cap or a lid to put on top as it would have made it much easier to transport it and of course less risk to have a leak when put it up side down. I think an old version used to have this.

The colours are bright and get the attention of any kid so it is a fun way for them to drink their favourite drink with their favourite snack. However, I think this version could be a little bit big for a 4 year old to take out and about everywhere. I think the smaller versions could be interesting and maybe more suitable for younger children.

Overall, I though this product is really good and I will definitely keep using it.

What do you think of this new product? Have you heard of it before? Do you have one? If not, will you try one? Leave a comment below as I would love to read what you think.

Thanks for stopping by,

Love you all ❤️

wow i’ve never seen these before but they are such a cool idea for the school bag (as there isn’t a lot of room in there) I will have to keep my eyes open for September when the little monster starts

Such a shame that it leaked, spill proof is vital for lunchboxes and bags

I love the concept of it as it is handy to take up less space by putting the drink and food together. So sorry to hear that it leaked.
