We received a new Fisher-Price toy to review, Shimmer & Shine Teenie Genies Floating Genie Palace! Bella had received a bundle of Shimmer & Shine stationary products recently too, and because of that it had made her interested in the brand! Seeing those products regularly increased her love for Shimmer & Shine, so when we received this new play set she was super excited to open it!
This lovely palace is where the cute genies live. The play set is inspired by Shimmer and Shine’s genie palace which is located in Zahramay Falls, a magical world where genies live, work and play!
The little Shimmer & Shine genies can have the most magical adventures here! The play set features plenty of flying and floating fun and lots of rooms to explore!
Content
Inside the box you will find:
- 1 x Palace
- 2 x Teenie Genies
- 2 x Beds
- 1 x Bathtub
- 1 x Table
The only thing that needs to be assembled is the magic carpet which is very easy to attach! The set includes Friends Divine Shimmer and Friends Divine Shine Teenie Genies. They are both floating genies and they are super cute too!
I left Bella playing on her own so she was able to explore the palace. She loved playing with the accessories provided, especially the 2 beds. She put the genies to bed several times, LOL!
You can see that there are a lot of little places around the palace where you can put the genies, so your kids can move and position them in many different spots! This definitely adds fun to the play.
Bella enjoyed attaching the genies on the magic carpet and making it spin around several times. It was fun to see it going around! You can attach 2 genies to the magic carpet so they can fly in it together!
Immediately after, Bella discovered a new feature. She realised that she could pull down the palace’s pillow which then makes Shimmer and Shine magically start floating up from the living room. This is definitely the coolest feature. It was actually like magic! I personally love it! After discovering this, Bella kept doing it many times over as it was so much fun!
The next thing she discovered was a big gem at the top of the palace. When she turned the gem, the mirror spun and you were able to see Leah or Princess Samira! You can also open the gem and n use it as a storage space to keep the genies safe.
You can collect more genies. They are sold separately. There are about 230 genies to collect! We only received 2 so I can see that my girls will probably ask for more genies soon! Our genies are floating genies but you can also get genies that won’t be able to float so in that case there is chair provided which you can use to help the genies that can’t float to be able to go up to the balcony.

- Pull down the palace’s pillow, and watch as Shimmer and Shine magically float

Our Thoughts
This is a lovely play set. It has several features to keep your little ones entertained. The floating feature is the highlight of this palace. Bella spent a lot of time using this. It would be even more entertaining when they have more genies to play with. At the moment 2 genies are perfect for one child. Bella has played on her own but if Sienna gets involved in the play then she wouldn’t have more genies to play with. This could be another option for your little ones Christmas’s list! 😉
Are your kids fans of Shimmer & Shine? Do they have something similar? Would they like to play with a play set like this? Which feature do you like the most?
