The #SNAPSTAR Girls – New Influencer Dolls

amomentwithfranca · 26 April 2019 · 14 Comments

Have you heard of SNAPSTAR dolls before? They are a fun new range of dolls based in the world of fashion, beauty, music, photography and design. The SNAPSTAR girls are a trendsetting collective of 6 social influencers!

Of course, with being a blogger myself, these dolls are perfect for my girls as they both love being in front of the camera and helping me out with reviews for the blog. I suppose they are mini influencers too! I knew they would love these dolls as soon as they saw them!

Meet The #SNAPSTAR Girls

Complete your collection of 25-inch dolls by collecting Yuki, Lola, Aspen, Echo, Dawn and Izzy. You can Check out the range of #SNAPSTAR dolls at Smyths Toys.

Aspen – a boho babe who loves the natural look, Aspen is always on the go and living out of a suitcase as she travels the world.

Yuki – With a cool, edgy and unpredictable style, Yuki is a music enthusiast with a passion for dance music. If she isn’t in the studio, she is djing at the hottest places around the world.

Echo – Echo is a hair and makeup pro who loves anything shimmery and glittering. She was born to shine, literally!

Dawn – bold and sophisticated, Dawn is a high flying diva whose fashion is always on point in designer labels. You can find Dawn rubbing shoulders with celebs at the most exclusive events.

Lola – A positive ball of energy who loves pastels, unicorns and rainbows. She is a kind and bubbly and has a passion for changing the world for the better.

Izzy – Izzy loves the environment and is passionate about recycling. A queen of upcycling, Izzy can be found wearing clothes with a story and sporting vintage threads.

The dolls also come with

  • Free downloadable SNAPSTAR STUDIO APP that allows girls to style and customize their SNAPSTAR’s hair, make-up, eye colour and shape, accessories and background scene
  • 15 points of articulation that allows for striking just about any pose

  • Inserted glass-like eyes!
  • Changeable hairstyles!
  • Master Crafter!

Which #SNAPSTAR Girls Did We Receive?

We received a lovely shopping bag and inside there was a gift box containing the 3 boxes with the dolls. Bella was very keen to do this review so she opened this box by herself.

She was super excited all the way through. When she opened the box she got a postcard that says #SNAPSTAR, snap, style and share. Then she got the information and images of all 6 dolls. Bella was already picking her favourites. And she was hoping to get the ones she wanted the most!

Postcard

On the postcard, it also explains how to download the app and customize it. When she opened the gift box, Bella saw 3 boxes with 3 dolls. She immediately asked to reveal them first as she was so desperate to know what she got. The first doll she opened was Dawn, then Yuki and finally Lola which was her favourite because she was 99% Unicorn!

The dolls are all super cool. They come dressed in fashion outfits and accessories. The coolest part was that they had a wig so the hairstyle can be interchangeable. Bella loved this feature! Each doll comes with the same accessories so then you can put them all together and take different pictures of all or individually.

You also get an adjustable doll stand and a foldable screen so you can take photos of the dolls and use the app to get creative with the backgrounds and customize the dolls how you want to!

The app is very easy to download and navigate. I think Bella was even better than me. This generation is very tech savvy, don’t you think?

When she was taking the photos on their stands and using the foldable green screen it was recommended to remove the wig (hairstyle) as then it was better for when you customise the doll within the app. This is so you can change the hairstyle and the colour as well as putting on their makeup (fake lashes, blush, lipstick, eye shadows, etc). It is very cool.

Because Bella doesn’t have a smartphone we downloaded the app in my phone so she can use the app. Maybe we should download the app in her Ipad so she can use it whenever she feels like.

We also got two different outfits to change our dolls. Bella really liked this as she loved changing their doll’s clothes all the time. They were very cute and fashionable.

Our Thoughts On The #SNAPSTAR Dolls

#SNAPSTARS dolls are so much fun for little girls. Bella really enjoyed unboxing them and finding out what dolls she got. Even though she loves the dolls she got, especially because she got Lola she is desperate to get Echo and Aspen so I guess that could be an option for her upcoming 9th birthday! 😉

You can pre-order The #SNAPSTAR Dolls now exclusively at Smyths and they will be in stock from 20th May, check your online or local store for details. The price for these dolls are £17.99 and the accessory packs are £4.99.

What do you think of the #SNAPSTAR Dolls? Will your kids like them? Which one will be their favourite?

*Disclosure: This is a collaboration with Smyths Toys helping to promote the new range of SNAPSTAR Dolls. However, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Thanks for stopping by,

Love you all ❤️

Interesting! It seems more and more toys now come with an app. 🙂
Which is both positive and negative as my daughter doesn’t have a phone haha, so it would be yet another reason for her to start asking about a phone again. :p
She’s not having one until she’s at least 10 though I hear, apearantly it’s something her pappa has told her they will talk about when she’s 10! hehe #KCACOLS

These dolls are completely different than what I had growing up that’s for sure. I believe they are definitely keeping up with today’s current trends. I like that they got a doll for many of the common personalities in our society. #kcacols

✨ Cat Cafe In London✨.📍Bella and I went t ✨ Cat Cafe In London✨.📍Bella and I went to @javawhiskersuk , a cat cafe located in @westfieldlondon . This was my present for Mother’s Day from her🌸.🌟 Before we went inside, we had to go to a separate room to wash our hands and remove our shoes..🐾 They have 2 different rooms: the Cat Lounge and the Kitten Lounge and you can choose to stay from 55 mins to 1hr 55 mins. The prices vary depending on the room you choose and the length of time..🍰 When we stepped inside the room we were greeted by a group of gorgeous kittens. We ordered (before we went inside the room) a latte and a delicious chocolate muffin with chocolate melted inside that was so good. This was served to us in the room while we were surrounded by these adorable kittens..🐱 We spent 55 mins playing and petting the kittens. They were so cute. We loved interacting with them..🥰 Their cafe is also a foster home for homeless cats so if you are looking to adopt one, this is the place to visit! They have had 230 successful adoptions already! 🙌🏻.🚨 The only downside is that you have to be over 10 years old in order to be allowed inside the rooms 😬.🐈 If you are a cat lover like us, I highly recommend you visit Java Whiskers! It is the perfect place to unwind and relax with these beautiful kittens! 🙌🏻.Have you visited a Cat Cafe before? 🐈‍⬛ .#javawhiskers #catcafe #catcafelondon #londoncafe #westfieldlondon #londondayout #daysout #thingstodoinlondon #newplaces #londonguide #lovecats😻 #catsofinstagram #catloversday #londonthingstodo #whatsonlondon

We spent 55 mins arround gorgeous kittens. I had a great time! I am a cat lover so this was a fab present for me! I will talk more about this experience on another post but if you swipe left you can see a little peak of our time there! 🐈😉.Today, the girls and Nick took me for the actually Mother’s Day celebration 🎉 to @cafejackss in Queen’s Park where we had brunch. It was a yummy treat. Swipe left to check it out! 😋 .After that we went for a walk. There was a small market nearby so it was nice to have a little look around 😍. We then went back home and spent the rest of the day chilling which is something, I’m not going to lie, I love doing! 😉😂.How was your day?#mothersdayuk #mothersdayweekend #mothersday2023 #motherofdaughters #mumoftwo #mumofgirls #mydaughters #lovemydaughters #daughterslove #mummydaughtertime #daughtersarethebest #daughtersrock #spendingtimetogether #happyfamilytime #familytime💕
✨My Girls✨.Due to the strikes we had Sienna ✨My Girls✨.Due to the strikes we had Sienna at home yesterday and today, and Bella only today. I thought it would be very chaotic but despite it always being louder when the girls are at home, especially my youngest one, lol, we did well..Bella did school work at home today and had the afternoon free. Sienna didn’t do school work. We only asked her to carry on doing Spanish and Maths via Duolingo. She also had Spanish lessons this afternoon (every Thursday she has lessons) so both days were manageable thankfully 😍.How was it for you? Did your kids stay at home or did they go to school? .PS: let’s hope things get better for teachers. ✨Happy Weekend✨.How is your weekend going so ✨Happy Weekend✨.How is your weekend going so far? I am finally feeling more normal after the massive jetlag I had after my trip to South America. I am not sure why it hit me so much this time but it has taken me about two solid weeks to properly be back to my routine without feeling right. Waking up in the mornings was the worst. It was very hard, especially when I had to be on time for the school run! 😩.Anyway, everything feels better now! 😊.How long does it take you to be back to normal after a jetlag? Do you have any tricks or tips to speed this process? .📸 Selfy taken in Barranco, a lively district in Peru considered to be one of the most romantic and bohemian places to visit and being the home and working place of many Peruvian artists, musicians, designers, photographers among others 😎.#thisisme #selfie #instaselfie #smilemore #brunettehair #greeneyes #over40#over40blogger #overforty #overfortystyle #over40andfabulous #over40mom #outandabout #barrancolima

✨Peruvian Suspiro Limeño✨."Suspiro Limeño" ✨Peruvian Suspiro Limeño✨."Suspiro Limeño" is one of my favourite Peruvian desserts. When I was In Peru, I of course, made sure to have it not only once but several times 😉.This dessert is made of manjar blanco (milk, sugar, almond flour, egg yolks, vanilla) and meringue (egg whites, port, cinnamon) 😘.The history behind this dessert starts with Amparo Ayarza who was the creator. Her husband, José Gálvez Barrenechea was a poet and was the one who gave it its name. The poet called it "Suspiro de Limeña", which means, 'Sigh of a Lima lady', because it is soft and sweet like the sigh of a woman. Love this 🥰.Have you ever tried "Suspiro Limeño"? Or have you heard of it before? Would you try it? .📸 Picture taken @panchitasazoncriolla in Lima that has one of the best versions of this dessert 🙌🏻.#suspirolimeño #peruviandessert #meringue #merengue #desserttime #dessertlover #dessertpic #dessertgram #peruvianfood #cocinaperuana #gastronomiaperuana #perufood #peruviancousine #whatisfordessert #dessertsofinstagram
