Trespass Snowy Down Parka Jacket Review

amomentwithfranca · 2 November 2015 · 17 Comments

I’m loving this Autumn season and all those beautiful leaf colours that are all over the ground. It looks like a gorgeous painting. We are starting to feel the cold now and the days are even more rainy than usual. Therefore choosing the correct outdoor waterproof jacket is essential to keep us warm and dry when we are out and about. I was in total need of a new jacket so when I was offered to review a jacket by the lovely people at Trespass I was literally so excited that I jumped up and down! LOL

Trespass Jacket Review FI

For those who haven’t heard about Trespass before, they are one of the most successful outdoor clothing retailers in the UK. They currently have more than 150 stores, a network of wholesale clients across the world and a thriving e-commerce website. So yes,  I was very happy to be able to review a jacket for them! They asked me to go and browse through their website and choose one item. Their women’s outdoor clothing section is really big and varied, so it was happy days for me!!

Trespass 1

I was so impressed when I opened the parcel!! The jacket was gorgeous! I chose the Snowy Womens Down Parka Jacket that has a retail price of £159.99. This jacket is so cosy and it is filled with a 50% down to 50% feather wadding. This great natural insulator forms a barrier to lock heat inside, so any warmth that leaves your body will be trapped inside the jacket to keep you warm through the day! This is absolutely true!! I have been testing it for about 4 weeks, using it all the time in this cold weather and I must admit that it really keeps me warm. There is no chance of me feeling the cold while wearing this!! It is amazing!!

Trespass 2

I love this colour! I was so tired of having black jackets. They are great as you can combine them with everything but this time I was really looking forward to trying something different. This is kind of a purple colour but darker and it is so lovely! The name of the colour on their website is Shiraz. They also have it in black.

I went for a Medium size which I thought was okay for me at the moment as I still haven’t lost all my baby weight but I think if I’m back to my pre-pregnancy weight I would probably choose one size down as the sleeves are quite long. Apart from that I think it fits really nicely! I really like it! 🙂

Additionally this down jacket is lightweight so you can still keep active and the longer length ensures the cold won’t be bothering you any time soon. This is so true. We went to explore one of the parks a little further from our local area and it was a perfect day to test it as it was cold and wet. Bella and I tried to run a little to see how it feels having the jacket on and I must admit that it was incredibly light. You can really be very active and you won’t even realise that you have it on which is a plus for me!

[URIS id=3108]

The hood is fully adjustable and can even be removed if you’d rather opt for a hat. Its finished with a lovely faux fur trim that feels as good as it looks. I’ve used the hood several times as lately it has been raining a lot and that feature has been a God save for me so I didn’t get wet which is always very handy! Also having the hood and the waterproof material is perfect so then I don’t have to keep carrying my umbrella everywhere!! One less thing to carry is always a plus as we already carry lots of things for the girls! I also removed the fur for now as I didn’t feel I need it at the moment but now that it is getting cooler by the day I might adjust it back again.

[URIS id=3117]

With two zip pockets for storage that also double as cosy hand warmers, the jacket also has an extra inner pocket that is perfect for your phone or money.

[URIS id=3125]

Features:

  • Adjustable Zip Off Hood
  • 2 Zip Pockets
  • Inner Pocket
  • Fake Fur Trim
  • Mid Length Style
  • Two colours: black, purple
  • 50% Down / 50% Feather (keep you really warm)
  • Downproof Lining

I’m really pleased with this jacket. It is such a great quality! It is stylish and keeps me warm. The material is really good and light. I was able to play with my girls all afternoon, jumping, throwing myself to the floor, etc and the jacket protected me 100% and it was never damaged! No matter how cold it gets, layering up with this jacket on top will leave you feeling great all through the winter until the sun shines once again. I would recommend you to go and have a look at their website as they have lots of lovely outdoor clothing for this cold weather.

Have you heard of Trespass? Have you bought from them before? Do you like this jacket? Will you buy it? What other type of jackets do you like wearing at this time of the year?

Disclaimer: I was sent this down jacket in exchange for an honest review. All the opinions are my own.

Thanks for stopping by,

Love you all ❤️

This looks a really nice jacket. It is a bit pricey but looks like it is worth the money as it looks like it will last through a few winters. I’m so with you on needing a bit of colour for a winter coat. I crave colour in the winter when it is so dark and dull.

I love the colour!!! It sounds like it’s really cosy too. A little more than I would probably pay for a jacket but it does sound great for winter xx

✨ Cat Cafe In London✨.📍Bella and I went t ✨ Cat Cafe In London✨.📍Bella and I went to @javawhiskersuk , a cat cafe located in @westfieldlondon . This was my present for Mother’s Day from her🌸.🌟 Before we went inside, we had to go to a separate room to wash our hands and remove our shoes..🐾 They have 2 different rooms: the Cat Lounge and the Kitten Lounge and you can choose to stay from 55 mins to 1hr 55 mins. The prices vary depending on the room you choose and the length of time..🍰 When we stepped inside the room we were greeted by a group of gorgeous kittens. We ordered (before we went inside the room) a latte and a delicious chocolate muffin with chocolate melted inside that was so good. This was served to us in the room while we were surrounded by these adorable kittens..🐱 We spent 55 mins playing and petting the kittens. They were so cute. We loved interacting with them..🥰 Their cafe is also a foster home for homeless cats so if you are looking to adopt one, this is the place to visit! They have had 230 successful adoptions already! 🙌🏻.🚨 The only downside is that you have to be over 10 years old in order to be allowed inside the rooms 😬.🐈 If you are a cat lover like us, I highly recommend you visit Java Whiskers! It is the perfect place to unwind and relax with these beautiful kittens! 🙌🏻.Have you visited a Cat Cafe before? 🐈‍⬛ .#javawhiskers #catcafe #catcafelondon #londoncafe #westfieldlondon #londondayout #daysout #thingstodoinlondon #newplaces #londonguide #lovecats😻 #catsofinstagram #catloversday #londonthingstodo #whatsonlondon

✨My Girls✨.Due to the strikes we had Sienna ✨My Girls✨.Due to the strikes we had Sienna at home yesterday and today, and Bella only today. I thought it would be very chaotic but despite it always being louder when the girls are at home, especially my youngest one, lol, we did well..Bella did school work at home today and had the afternoon free. Sienna didn’t do school work. We only asked her to carry on doing Spanish and Maths via Duolingo. She also had Spanish lessons this afternoon (every Thursday she has lessons) so both days were manageable thankfully 😍.How was it for you? Did your kids stay at home or did they go to school? .PS: let’s hope things get better for teachers. ✨Happy Weekend✨.How is your weekend going so ✨Happy Weekend✨.How is your weekend going so far? I am finally feeling more normal after the massive jetlag I had after my trip to South America. I am not sure why it hit me so much this time but it has taken me about two solid weeks to properly be back to my routine without feeling right. Waking up in the mornings was the worst. It was very hard, especially when I had to be on time for the school run! 😩.Anyway, everything feels better now! 😊.How long does it take you to be back to normal after a jetlag? ✨Peruvian Suspiro Limeño✨."Suspiro Limeño" ✨Peruvian Suspiro Limeño✨."Suspiro Limeño" is one of my favourite Peruvian desserts. When I was In Peru, I of course, made sure to have it not only once but several times 😉.This dessert is made of manjar blanco (milk, sugar, almond flour, egg yolks, vanilla) and meringue (egg whites, port, cinnamon) 😘.The history behind this dessert starts with Amparo Ayarza who was the creator. Her husband, José Gálvez Barrenechea was a poet and was the one who gave it its name. The poet called it "Suspiro de Limeña", which means, 'Sigh of a Lima lady', because it is soft and sweet like the sigh of a woman. Love this 🥰.Have you ever tried "Suspiro Limeño"? Or have you heard of it before? Would you try it? .📸 Picture taken @panchitasazoncriolla in Lima that has one of the best versions of this dessert 🙌🏻.#suspirolimeño #peruviandessert #meringue #merengue #desserttime #dessertlover #dessertpic #dessertgram #peruvianfood #cocinaperuana #gastronomiaperuana #perufood #peruviancousine #whatisfordessert #dessertsofinstagram
