We have 4 fantastic books to spoil your little ones. Three books from the same author Gillian Young and one book from Sarah Morrell. These are cute books that will keep your kids entertained for weeks.

Books from Gillian Young

Books from Gillian Young

About the Author

Gillian Young, as well as a wife and mother, is the owner of a cream retriever called Poppy who, through her Instagram page, has made thousands of friends worldwide. They live in the heart of the Worcestershire countryside.

Gillian has worked in admin and graphic art, she now enjoys writing children’s fiction. She is an active member of The Author School and has appeared on the radio, in bookshops, and in newspapers promoting her work and her golden retrievers.

Poppy on Safari

Poppy On Safari by Gillian Young

About the Book

“Poppy is a crazy cream golden retriever who is loveable yet greedy and spoilt. When her family head to a Safari Park for a fun-filled day out, her day does not go as expected. Instead of meeting new animals, she is left behind at a dog kennel.

Fearing she is being punished for being naughty earlier, Poppy panics. She is also told about a mysterious animal called Cain, the King of the Safari Park, but something has happened to him and nobody at the kennels knows what this is or what he has done.

Poppy is desperate to rejoin her family. She persuades the other dogs to help her escape by promising to find out what has happened to Cain. She meets a puppy called Harley who is also a cream retriever. Harley has lost his family too. Now Poppy not only needs to find her family but help Harley find his loved ones and also get to the bottom of the mystery surrounding Cain. How is she going to manage this when dogs are not even allowed inside the Safari Park?!”

Age group: 7-9 years old

Poppy Loves Devon

Poppy Loves Devon by Gillian Young

About the Book

“Poppy Loves Devon is the second in the Crazy Cream Adventure Series. Following on from Poppy on Safari, the pampered life of this crazy cream retriever is turned upside-down when she discovers a lost puppy whilst on holiday with her family.

Poppy wants to befriend anything that moves, but she’s never successful. It seems all the other animals find her too big, loud and boisterous. Dad is convinced she needs a playmate, but Poppy’s unsure. She enjoys the fuss and attention from her family so much, she is not willing to share. The choice is taken away from her when one day a puppy comes along.

However, Poppy soon discovers the puppy is lost and alone. Her big heart and caring nature kick in when she discovers a monster lurking in a nearby wood. Poppy must act fast to save the farm, her family – and the puppy. Meanwhile, a handsome border collie ticks all the boxes as the ‘perfect’ dog – but is he? Poppy Loves Devon follows her pursuit of making friends but not realising what’s under her very nose”.

Age group: 7-9 years old

Tammy and Willow

Tammy and Willow by Gillian Young

About the Book

“Hannah Taylor and her border collie, Tammy, have a special bond. They have grown up together and are so close they practically know each other’s thoughts. But when Tammy suddenly falls ill and dies, Hannah is devastated and wonders how she will ever cope with life without her beloved friend.

But life goes on and Hannah must face a new year at high school. Despite the help of her family and friends, Hannah misses Tammy so much she loses interest in everything, even the famous summer fayre which occurs every year in the village.

Meanwhile, Tammy is also struggling to work out what is happening. After being desperately ill and falling into a deep sleep, she is now feeling better than ever. But Hannah no longer seems able to see or hear her. What’s happened? What’s this limbo Tammy has suddenly found herself in? And what’s this strange light that follows her?

When a cute fluffy collie pup called Willow comes into their lives, Hannah cannot help but grow fond of this little ball of fluff. And even better, this little pup is no ordinary dog, she can actually see Tammy.”

Age group: 7-9 years old

A Head Full of Magic

A Head Full of Magic by Sarah Morrell

About the Book

Fleur is used to balancing her two different cultures from her English Mum to her West Indian Nan but when she discovers that she can talk to animals she finds herself in a whole new world! Can her new powers help her take down Celeste ‘The Best,’ the hockey-loving, ankle-smashing new girl, once and for all?

Age group: 7-9 years old

About the Author

✨Breakfast✨.Nothing like a healthy filling b ✨Breakfast✨.Nothing like a healthy filling breakfast, right? I have been trying to keep eating a good breakfast every morning to help me with my low iron! .Most days I have branflakes and sometimes weetabix but Fridays to Sundays, I make a little effort and prepare overnight oats. I love them! They are so tasty and leave me satisfy for hours which means not craving for snacks until lunch time! Win win 😀.I prepare the oats with chia seeds, almond milk, vanilla extract, honey and leave it overnight. In the morning, I serve it with strawberries, blueberries, banana and honey. It is so good! 😋 I vary the fruit that I put in but everything else is the same..What do you like eating for breakfast?.#overnightoats #oatsforbreakfast #easybreakfast #simplebreakfast #togobreakfast #quickbreakfast #breakfastideas #healthybreakfastideas #breakfastinspo #breakfastbowl #breakfastgoals #breakfastlover #oatmealbowl #breakfastclub #oatmealbowl
✨Teacher’s Strike Day✨.Happy hump day! So ✨Teacher’s Strike Day✨.Happy hump day! So we have our first teacher’s strike day today which means no school and learning from home..Bella is doing her school work via Google classroom so she will follow her normal school day that way and Sienna doesn’t have a structured day from school today so she should have a day off but we have agreed for her to do some work too, so she will be reading, practicing for her spelling test and doing some maths. This way we can all have a productive day 😉, well hopefully! 😬. Have you been affected by the strike today? What are your plans? .#sistertime #sisterlylove #sistersgoals #sisterhood #hermanas #sistersforever #sistersforlife #sisterslove #siblingslove #lovemydaughters #raisingdaughters #mydaughters #westfield #westfieldlondon #londonkids
✨Happy Friday✨.Did you have a good week? Unf ✨Happy Friday✨.Did you have a good week? Unfortunately, it wasn’t that good for us because the girls have been under the weather. Bella started first with a sore throat and high fever for a few days and then when Bella got better, Sienna started! She got a horrible cough but no temperature. Her cough was that bad that she couldn’t sleep very well for a couple of nights. They are both much better now and back to school.. The weather hasn’t helped either. It has been so cold lately! I literally feel frozen all the time. Thankfully it is looking better atm as the temperatures are starting to rise. I decided to get my flu vaccine, so I hope it protects me from all these viruses that are going around! Have you had the flu vaccine too? .On another note, I went yesterday to a parents meeting about GCSE options for Bella. I can’t believe she needs to think about it already ahead of Year 9. The time really goes fast. Are your kids dealing with GCSEs too?.📸 Sharing this beautiful bouquet of flowers from @freddiesflowers to brighten up our day.#flowerarrangement #flowerdelivery #bouquetofflowers #flowersmakemehappy #loveflowers #flowersoftheday #flowersoftheweek #flowerlover #freshflowers #flowerobsession #bunchofflowers #foreverflowers #flowersofinstagram #homesweethome
