I love shopping online and can spend hours visiting all my favourite stores choosing lots of items that grab my attention. It’s a lot of fun but it would be great to be able to search for everything in one place so then you can choose which stores have the exact item you are looking for!
I was recently introduced to Octer which is a great online shopping site which makes your shopping life much easier. It is a unique marketplace of the biggest UK stores where you can shop departments or shop by store. You can search from fashion to gadgets. They will compare thousands of brands for you and then they will show you the nearest matches. This is great because you will always get the perfect style & price that you want and also be able to discover products from stores you hadn’t considered before.
I think this is really good, especially when you have an item in mind, so you just search for that to get lots of options to buy that item from different stores. I was looking for some new winter coats but more formal than the ones I got from Regatta, so I just searched for different options such as, ‘fitted coats’ or ‘fur coats’ on Octer which gave me lots of options from different stores. I was able to filter by the maximum price I wanted to spend too. You can also add colours to your search like red fitted coat for example and you will get a list of lots of amazing coats in red. It is very easy to do.
I had so many options that I didn’t know what to choose. You can also select the brands that you are more familiar with so you can narrow your search. I chose brands like ASOS, Boden, Dorothy Perkins, Oasis, Mango and Boohoo. One of my searches showed me a lot of nice coats from Lipsy. I have not bought from them before but I was excited with the coats that my search returned for them so I clicked on 2 different options.
When you click an item it will open a new window where you will have the option to save it in your liked items or to purchase it. If you want to purchase the item, it will take you to the store where you will make an online order. I was initially confused by this as I thought I was going to be able to purchase the items via Octer but that is not the case. You make your purchases with each store individually.
See my choices below:
I love this coat. I don’t have a coat in this colour so I was very happy to get one. The fur looks fantastic and you also have the option to remove it. It has a good length. You will definitely look smart in it.
I really love this jacket since I saw it for the first time. I have been looking for a leopard print coat like this one so I just had to order it. When it arrived I tried it on straight away but it didn’t really look as I wanted it to. I definitely think it looks much better if you don’t button it up. When I did, I felt huge and didn’t like it at all. Also, the pockets were too far back which wasn’t very flattering. However, once I tried it again and just left it unbuttoned it looked much better. I obviously need to lose weight so it will fit better.
I always have the option to change it (I have 14 days to return it if I’m still unhappy), so I will see how it goes. When placed the order I had the option to have my items delivered to my address or to my nearest store. Apparently, my nearest store was Next. This confused me as I didn’t see a connection between Lipsy and Next but after doing a little research I found that Next bought Lipsy a few years ago. Given this, it now had sense, 🙂
Octer lists a variety of products covering fashion, beauty, technology, gifts, etc. You can also download their app and browse from your mobile. Having everything in one place, definitely, makes the experience much more pleasant. You can spend hours searching for your favourite outfits.
The experience and the whole service was very quick and easy. I was impressed that my parcel was delivered to the store the next day. You should give it a go too! 😉
Have you used Octer before? What stores do you normally use for online shopping? What do you think of the coats I ordered?
*Disclaimer: I ordered two coats from Octer for the purpose of this review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Thanks for stopping by,
Love you all ❤️
