10 Mother’s Day Gift Ideas

amomentwithfranca · 6 March 2018 · 12 Comments

I am still getting used to celebrating Mother’s Day in March. In my country, we celebrate it in May so it has taken me 13 years to familiarise myself with this new date. I love Mother’s Day. It is a day when I feel even more connected with my girls. It is nice to see them even more caring towards me than normal. They get so excited which is so cute to watch. I have a few ideas that perhaps can be great gifts for the mothers in your life.

10 Mother's Day Gift Ideas

I have 10 gift ideas which are all different to each other but it can be great to have a variation so you can pick one that is the best for you.

1.Naturaline Cosmetics

I love to try new natural skin care products and this one is very good. I have tried pretty much all their range and I am very impressed. The range consists of nine highly effective natural skin care products for the face and body. It combines the latest scientific techniques and carefully selected natural ingredients to offer state-of-the-art natural skincare products that result in beautiful, healthy skin.

All Naturaline Swiss Cosmetics products are vegan and are not tested on animals. The range includes an Alpine Rose Day Cream (£13.49, 50ml), Edelweiss Day Cream (£13.49, 50ml), Cucumber | Guava Facial Wash (£8.99, 150ml), Aloe Vera | Eyebright Eye Make-Up Remover (£8.99, 100ml) , Pomegranate Liposome Eye Cream (£8.99, 20ml), Macadamia Nut & Pomegranate Lip Balm (£5.99,10ml), Basil | Lemongrass Shower Gel (£6.99, 200ml), Peppermint | Bamboo Body Lotion (£8.99, 180ml) and a Mallow Flower Lady’s Mantle Intimate Wash Lotion (£8.99, 200ml).

2.Olverum (Bath Oil)

There is nothing more relaxing than having a bath with some lovely oils. I must admit that I don’t do this very often but when I do it feels like my whole body has rejuvenated. I have been feeling very cold and I got a virus with high temps, so I decided to have a bath with this oil and I loved it. It made me feel much better.

Olverum is a unique and highly concentrated, therapeutic bath oil which contains 10 pure essential oils, carefully blended to work synergistically. Accordingly, an Olverum bath is a very effective way to naturally relieve stress and help you achieve a great nights’ sleep. It is also a great way to ease aching or sore muscles and is the perfect soothing antidote to a cold or flu. All with a gorgeously aromatic, unisex scent.

Olverum recently relaunched under new British ownership. It costs £29 for a 125 ml bottle. Check Olverum website for more details.

3. St Pancras International

This was interesting for me because I didn’t know St Pancras International has something like this. It is very different to other gifts and it is of a high quality. I really think a gift from them will be fantastic for a lovely mum.

They have launched a stylish range of commemorative gifts to celebrate its 150th birthday. Available now from the station’s ‘150th Anniversary Store’ the line of official merchandise goes on sale as the iconic destination marks its anniversary year.

With everything from contemporary kitchenware and monochrome cushions to timeless art prints and stylish scarves, the range of exciting and unique commemorative items are the perfect treat or gift for loved ones. I received a cushion cover (£19.95) that’ a bit different to the usual high street designs. Their Gothic Arches pattern adds a touch of style to any sofa or chair.

I got a set of four glass coasters (£14.95) featuring the four stained glass style images from their Contemporary Collection. Each image captures a glimpse of life at St Pancras International, a world-famous travel hub and social space. The coasters include images: On Time, Busy Station, Getting off the Train and A Quick Hello.

I also got a glass chopping board (£12.95) printed with their “Getting off the Train” stained glass image. The image chosen for this product is a view from the upper floor looking down at passengers moving around the station. The glass cutting board is suitable for cutting vegetables, meat and fish.

4.Cléy Baby

I got 3 different gift ideas from Cley Baby, a one-stop shop for all things baby celebration. See below:

  • Mummy sanity tote £14.00
This bag has been designed especially for those who know how it feels to have everything in order besides their sanity as a result of being a parent. Whilst you might not have your sanity it’s a comfort to know that with it’s clean and contemporary design, this gold foil tote will go with just about anything in your wardrobe.
  • Waddling and wonderful tote – for pregnant mummies £14.00
This bag has been designed especially for pregnant princesses who are proud of their pregnancy waddle and need a place to store their things. With it’s clean and contemporary design, this gold foil tote will go with just about anything in your wardrobe.

  • My child, my heart necklace. £28.00
This delicate pendant encapsulates the feeling of motherhood, illustrating the bond between mother and child, making it the perfect present for Mothers day. The subtle stones add elegance and class to this necklace, making it suitable for any occasion and to be worn with any outfit.

I also have a discount code for you. If you use Cleymum10 at checkout, you will get 10% off any gifts for mum that you purchased. So happy shopping!

5.Guylian

I have mentioned before how I am a fan of Guylian chocolates. That is why I featured them in my Valentine’s Gift Guide and of course, I have to add them to my Mother’s Day Gift Ideas too.

This time I got this Master’s Selection box which is a premium assortment of Belgian mini pralines filled with a variety of exotic flavours and topped off with fine ingredients. The Master’s Selection is the crown on Guylian’s 50th anniversary and honors the Belgian chocolate making tradition with a delicious gift box. Each beautiful gift box collects 30 mini pralines in 9 delectable flavours like Coffee Cardemom, Ginger-Lime or Caramel with Costa Rican pineapple. But the original praliné fillings are also present, in a revamped and even more refined form. Fine ingredients like golden berry or zest of lemon decorate each praline and complete the taste sensation.

6.Thermos

I love this brand. They really have fantastic products and I have been fan of them for years. This is  also a different gift but equally perfect for mums. I got the Thermos Stainless King Travel Tumbler which is ideal for the eco-conscious mum who’s keen to reduce plastic from daily disposable coffee and tea cups.

It comes in copper (new), gunmetal (new), red, matte black, and navy. Boasting a DrinkLock sealing lid, Thermos vacuum insulation technology and durable stainless steel interior, its stylish design keeps your tea or coffee hot for up to seven hours. Tea drinkers will love the built-in tea hook that easily holds tea bags and most loose leaf infusers. Each mug fits most vehicle cup holders – perfect for that kick-ass mum rushing between meetings, school runs and everything in between. Comes with a 50-year warranty.

You can get this product on Argos, John Lewis, Wilko, Robert Dyas, Debenhams, Lakeland, Dunelm and Thermos.co.uk from £24.95.

7.Zellie Bags

This gift is perfect for the mums with babies. The Hamilton Poppins Pouch (£25) from Zellie is the perfect bag for trips where you don’t need to take your bigger bag but still need the essentials. Alternatively, you can remove the strap and it can sit in your changing bag as a nappy pouch or additional bag to keep in the base of your buggy.

If you are out and about with your baby sling and not your pram, your large changing bag is not practical. The Poppins Pouch is perfect to be carried over your shoulder, enabling you to stay hands-free. The pouch is fully wipeable inside and out. It has a small zipped pocket at the front which is perfect for small items such as keys, money and phone. Inside there is one large section which can hold a huge number of items

8.CYO Cosmetics

I have recently been introduced by CYO Cosmetics and so far I am loving them. I am a mad red lipstick user so I was so excited to get a new lipstick collection in the red shades! CYO Cosmetics are insanely versatile makeup that gives you the freedom to create. This is the list of items I got to try:

  • Colour Nutrition Moisturising Lipstick (£5)
  • Shade To Last Lip & Cheek Stain (£5)
  • Take A Shine Lip Gloss (£4)
  • Two Tone Twist Ombre Lipstick (£5)

These lipstick are perfect for the mums that love to look fashionable and trending. You can get the whole CYO Cosmetics at Boots.

9.Dartington Crystal

One of the things that you get a lot for Mother’s Day is flowers. I love flowers and I am always so happy when I get one on this special occasion. As I mentioned before I love Bloom & Wild so check them out to see what their latest bouquets of flowers are.

That is why I thought that it could be a thoughtful gift for Mother’s Day to get a flower vase so you can put your beautiful flowers bouquet on display. This Florabundance Bouquet Vase (£59) from Dartington Crystal is gorgeous and will give a lovely touch to your house.

10. Find Me A Gift

And last but not least, I got a couple of lovely gift ideas from Find Me A Gift. See below:

  • 10 Things I Love About My Mum – Poster (£9.99)

This poster gives you the opportunity to literally spell out the reasons your mum is so bloomin’ brilliant. Whether it’s her cooking, her continued support, sense of humour, or the fact she always lends you money when you need it! Let her know the top 10 things you love about her and put a big smile on her face.

  • Rose Gold Cocktail Shaker With Recipes – £14.99

If you like your mixed drinks extra fancy, this rose gold cocktail shaker is the perfect way to tune up your mixology skills! Never again will you have to suffer through a badly-made cocktail because this cocktail shaker with recipes selector built into the body is the convenient way to make sure you get the ingredients right every time. Simply twist the rose cold coloured body to select your cocktail, and the handy holes will reveal all of the ingredients you need. All your favourites are there: Cosmopolitan, Margarita, Mai Tai, Shaken Martini, Amaretto Sour, Pornstar Martini, Pina Colada and Daiquiri.

Have you already bought your gift(s) for Mother’s Day? Is there something on this list that caught your attention?

*Disclosure: I received samples for each product for the purpose of this blog post. However, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Thanks for stopping by,

Love you all ❤️
