As part of the amazing event that Bella and I were recently part of with the lovely people at Lands’ End (You can read all about it here), we were invited to go along to a boat trip on Rutland Water.
It was such a gorgeous day. Really sunny for being this time of the year. Sometimes the weather surprises me a lot. We went to Rutland Waterpark and it was really lovely. The idea to just relax in the boat with nice views and with nice people around was pretty much an ideal way to spend the afternoon.
We were taken in a bus from Lands’ End HQ. It was a really short trip as Rutland Waterpark is not far from their offices.
Our boat was waiting there for us. We were all very excited and the kids, well they hadn’t stopped going on about the boat all morning so when we arrived they were all very fascinated! It was such a nice boat! 😉
Bella couldn’t stop smiling, it was so cute. She was so excited, I don’t know how I managed to take some pictures of her as she was desperate to get on.

At the beginning we were on the top deck of the boat so we took nice photos – there were some nice views. It was then annouced that there will be drinks and snacks dowstairs so you can imagine how the kids immediately wanted to go downstairs.
There were a lot of sailing boats around. The look vey nice from the far. The day was better for it as it was a nice sunny day but with a lot of wind.
Bella was desperate for some crispsand chocolates so I also got something for me – I really needed cup of coffee. It was nice to sit down having a coffee and enjoying the boat trip. I took a photo of Bella at the back of the boat. I asked her to smile but she was too desperate to eat her crisps, so her smile is just a half smile LOL!
I’m here with Rishi from Mummy and the Cuties. We kept us company the whole day. It was nice to have someone to talk about everything. We were lucky that our girls were very happy to play together. This is one of the things that I like about this events. That you can meet other great bloggers that share the same hobby than you.
Of course I had to include a photo of this team. The photographer was very nice as he was helping me earlier with some tips to take better photos when you are against the light. He was so helpful. Then we have Tiya from Joe Bloggers. She was very nice and always available if we needed any help. Then we have Charlotte from Lands’ End. She was always so enthusiastic and happy. Always with a smile on her face. Then we have another PR from Joe Bloggers (I don’t remember her name, ups silly me! I’m sorry!). She was also super nice and helpful! What a great team to work with!
It was such a nice. Bella and I have never been in Oakham, Rutland before so it was great to be able to go and visit. It is a nice place! 🙂
Have you been in Rutland before? Do you like it? Have you been in Rutland Waterparks? Have you done this boat trip before? If yes, isn’t it lovely! If not, will you go and explore the area? Please leave a comment as I would love to read what do you think.
*Some of the photos were taken by Lands’ End.
Thanks for stopping by,
Love you all ❤️

I had a suspicion, confirmed by a quick google, that back in the day my Dad and I spent a weekend blowing around an extremely windy Rutland in a Mirror dinghy for some kind of tournament, in which we came second to last. Good times, good times. It’s possible I might have enjoyed the crisps and coffee more.

Lovely that you had a chance to meet up with some other bloggers too. There aren’t many blogger events up here, but I have managed one and looking forward to a second one very soon.
