Celebrating Mother’s Day With Moonpig

amomentwithfranca · 8 March 2021 · 23 Comments

I can’t believe Mother’s Day is already on Sunday 14th March! I feel this last year has passed so quick despite having the most unprecedented year with all the ups and downs due to the pandemic. I think we mums really need this year to be extra special after so many weeks of home-schooling and dealing with everything else on top of it. It has been tough so all we want is some extra love and lots of cuddles on that day!

Ad Gifted – The items I have featured in this blog post have been gifted

I have felt super lucky as Moonpig has made me feel very special already ahead of Mothers Day as they have sent me some thoughtful gifts, comprising a tea & bubble hamper, a pamper hamper, a detox gift and some blooms. Just perfect, isn’t it?

I know this year Mother’s Day will be different as we still won’t be able to meet, so it will be a celebration via Zoom this time. For me, this doesn’t change much because firstly, my mum lives in Peru but second because in Peru we celebrate Mother’s Day in May. So, I am quite used to not having my mum on this day so I can completely relate to the feeling of not being able to hug your mum on that special day.

But let’s not worry because thanks to Moonpig we can send really lovely gifts and cards showing how much we love and miss our mums. I am sure all mums will really appreciate receiving a thoughtful surprise on Mother’s Day.

I am not sure about you but I didn’t know Moonpig has so many amazing gifts to choose from apart from their well-known cards. I was amazed when I was browsing through their website as I couldn’t believe the variety of gifts they have available.

Moonpig Mother’s Day Cards & Flowers

First, you won’t get it wrong with Moonpig cards. As always, they have a fabulous selection of Mother’s Day cards to choose from and the best part is that you can personalise them however you want, so you can add lovely photos and thoughtful messages that your mum will absolutely love.

And of course, you cannot forget the flowers. Now with Moonpig, you can send cards and flowers together that will make your mum smile back to front! I am not sure about you but for me, flowers are what I am most excited about receiving on Mother’s Day! They always brighten up my day and make me smile!

You will get so excited to see that you will have plenty of different bouquets to choose from. And if you know your mum’s favourite flowers it will be even easier and quicker to pick. Moonpig sent me the most gorgeous and colourful bouquet of flowers which I am so excited about (image above).

Moonpig Mother’s Day Gifts

As I mentioned above they have a lovely selection of Mother’s Day gifts to choose from. You can choose from delicious afternoon tea gift experiences and adorable Tatty Teddy bears to bottles of bubbly and Mother’s Day gift boxes.

I think self-care is what we all need at the moment, so the gorgeous Sanctuary Spa Special Occasion Hamper gift is exactly what we need to relax and feel pampered. It comes filled with a selection of Sanctuary Spa’s finest skincare products such as their signature scented body wash, polishing body scrub, rich body butter, hydrating hand cream, heel balm and bubbly bath float. This is exactly what I need, some perfect ‘me’ time. I can’t wait to try all of them, especially the bubbly bath float in a warm bath.

Another great option for a Mother’s Day gift is the fantastic Tea & Bubbles Hamper that will be there to definitely pick you up as it will lift your spirits with their rosehip & hibiscus tea infusion, some handmade strawberry and Champagne conserve, a gorgeous Linden Lady decorated milk chocolate bar and a bottle of Rosé. Doesn’t this sound amazing? I am sure any mum would be super excited to receive a hamper like this. And it comes in a heart shaped basket, how cute is that?

And what about a gift from This Works? They are fab and their This Works Evening Detox Gift Set sounds like the perfect treat. It contains 1 x Evening Detox Cleansing Water (50ml) and 1 x Evening Detox Clay Mask (20ml). This is an anti-pollution evening ritual of two solutions that will help you to banish breakouts and decongest overloaded urban skin for cleaner and calmer results. After this difficult year, a Detox Gift is exactly what any mums need.

Let’s try to make Mother’s Day extra special this year by sending a thoughtful gift that will make your mums feel loved. And hopefully, soon we will be able to hug again. I am sure those hugs will feel even more special than ever and will last in our memories forever!

Have you sorted your gift for Mother’s Day? How are you planning to spoil your beautiful mum this year?

*Disclosure: I received a lovely selection of gifts from Moonpig for the purpose of this blog post. However, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Thanks for stopping by,

Love you all ❤️

✨ Cat Cafe In London✨.📍Bella and I went t ✨ Cat Cafe In London✨.📍Bella and I went to @javawhiskersuk , a cat cafe located in @westfieldlondon . This was my present for Mother’s Day from her🌸.🌟 Before we went inside, we had to go to a separate room to wash our hands and remove our shoes..🐾 They have 2 different rooms: the Cat Lounge and the Kitten Lounge and you can choose to stay from 55 mins to 1hr 55 mins. The prices vary depending on the room you choose and the length of time..🍰 When we stepped inside the room we were greeted by a group of gorgeous kittens. We ordered (before we went inside the room) a latte and a delicious chocolate muffin with chocolate melted inside that was so good. This was served to us in the room while we were surrounded by these adorable kittens..🐱 We spent 55 mins playing and petting the kittens. They were so cute. We loved interacting with them..🥰 Their cafe is also a foster home for homeless cats so if you are looking to adopt one, this is the place to visit! They have had 230 successful adoptions already! 🙌🏻.🚨 The only downside is that you have to be over 10 years old in order to be allowed inside the rooms 😬.🐈 If you are a cat lover like us, I highly recommend you visit Java Whiskers! It is the perfect place to unwind and relax with these beautiful kittens! 🙌🏻.Have you visited a Cat Cafe before? 🐈‍⬛ .#javawhiskers #catcafe #catcafelondon #londoncafe #westfieldlondon #londondayout #daysout #thingstodoinlondon #newplaces #londonguide #lovecats😻 #catsofinstagram #catloversday #londonthingstodo #whatsonlondon

I will talk more about this experience on another post but if you swipe left you can see a little peak of our time there! 🐈😉.Today, the girls and Nick took me for the actually Mother’s Day celebration 🎉 to @cafejackss in Queen’s Park where we had brunch. It was a yummy treat. Swipe left to check it out! 😋 .After that we went for a walk. There was a small market nearby so it was nice to have a little look around 😍. We then went back home and spent the rest of the day chilling which is something, I’m not going to lie, I love doing! 😉😂.How was your day?#mothersdayuk #mothersdayweekend #mothersday2023 #motherofdaughters #mumoftwo #mumofgirls #mydaughters #lovemydaughters #daughterslove #mummydaughtertime #daughtersarethebest #daughtersrock #spendingtimetogether #happyfamilytime #familytime💕
✨My Girls✨.Due to the strikes we had Sienna ✨My Girls✨.Due to the strikes we had Sienna at home yesterday and today, and Bella only today. I thought it would be very chaotic but despite it always being louder when the girls are at home, especially my youngest one, lol, we did well..Bella did school work at home today and had the afternoon free. Sienna didn’t do school work. We only asked her to carry on doing Spanish and Maths via Duolingo. She also had Spanish lessons this afternoon (every Thursday she has lessons) so both days were manageable thankfully 😍.How was it for you? Did your kids stay at home or did they go to school? .PS: let’s hope things get better for teachers. I am not sure why it hit me so much this time but it has taken me about two solid weeks to properly be back to my routine without feeling right. Waking up in the mornings was the worst. It was very hard, especially when I had to be on time for the school run! 😩.Anyway, everything feels better now! 😊.How long does it take you to be back to normal after a jetlag? Do you have any tricks or tips to speed this process? .📸 Selfy taken in Barranco, a lively district in Peru considered to be one of the most romantic and bohemian places to visit and being the home and working place of many Peruvian artists, musicians, designers, photographers among others 😎.#thisisme #selfie #instaselfie #smilemore #brunettehair #greeneyes #over40#over40blogger #overforty #overfortystyle #over40andfabulous #over40mom #outandabout #barrancolima

✨Peruvian Suspiro Limeño✨."Suspiro Limeño" ✨Peruvian Suspiro Limeño✨."Suspiro Limeño" is one of my favourite Peruvian desserts. When I was In Peru, I of course, made sure to have it not only once but several times 😉.This dessert is made of manjar blanco (milk, sugar, almond flour, egg yolks, vanilla) and meringue (egg whites, port, cinnamon) 😘.The history behind this dessert starts with Amparo Ayarza who was the creator. Her husband, José Gálvez Barrenechea was a poet and was the one who gave it its name. The poet called it "Suspiro de Limeña", which means, 'Sigh of a Lima lady', because it is soft and sweet like the sigh of a woman. Love this 🥰.Have you ever tried "Suspiro Limeño"? Or have you heard of it before? Would you try it? .📸 Picture taken @panchitasazoncriolla in Lima that has one of the best versions of this dessert 🙌🏻.#suspirolimeño #peruviandessert #meringue #merengue #desserttime #dessertlover #dessertpic #dessertgram #peruvianfood #cocinaperuana #gastronomiaperuana #perufood #peruviancousine #whatisfordessert #dessertsofinstagram
