Day Out at Hyde Park in London

amomentwithfranca · 17 September 2015 · 15 Comments

We went to one of my favourite places in London, Hyde Park! This park is so beautiful and incredibly big! There is a lot of space to walk around, have some fresh air, eat something, take the kids to one of the playgrounds and finally just sit down and enjoy the view of The Serpentine lake.

We filmed a little bit during the day. You can see our video below:

And here I’m sharing some lovely photos of the day:

My sister was in town and she also loves Hyde Park so our initial idea was to go for a picnic but the weather wasn’t for a Picnic really so we decided to go and have lunch at the Serpentine Bar & Kitchen, which was very nice. Their chips were so yummy.  We had some sunny intervals so for moments when the sun was out it was very nice. The problem was that in the end the weather was gradually changing for the worst and we ended up having a lot of rain!

We took a few photos in front of the The Serpentine Lake and which was full of swans and ducks – so beautiful. Bella was fascinated by them and wanted a lot of photos to be taken with them LOL. In the meantime the little one was having a nice nap so we were able to relax a bit and enjoy the view.

Looks like you had a fabulous day out! I like Hyde Park but my favourite park is Regents Park. I love to go rowing there and to hear the band playing! Emma x

What beautiful photos! It looks like you had a wonderful day. You were very brave to get that close to the swans. They terrify me! 🙂

This is what I love about London, there are so many beautiful parks which really give you a sense of freedom and space. I have often walked past the place where you had lunch and thought one day I will stop there, sounds like it is well worth it. such a perfect looking family day and great that you managed to meet up with your sister too. thank you for sharing with me on Country Kids

I love Hyde Park. You really don’t feel like you’re in London do you. I used to take picnics here for a break at work or shopping. So beautiful! And there is so much to do. I love the look of that little cafe/restaurant over the lake. I’ve never been there before. It sounds like you had a beautiful little family day out with your sister! 😀 Thank you so much for linking this up to #whatevertheweather x

A wonderful place for a day out with family, I love all the happy smiley photos, you certainly have beautiful happy children! We love feeding ducks at the park, but having problems finding things to feed them now we’re advised not to feed bread, apparently porridge oats is the way to go. The serpentine looks lovely with tasty food. If I ever come down that way again I’ll have to remember! Thank you so much for linking up your lovely post to #Whatevertheweather 🙂 x
