Not long ago we were invited to Icetank in Convent Garden for a VIP Style Event with DesignaFriend. It was a fun event that I knew my girls would love. They would get the chance to be pampered and be creative whilst surrounded by dolls. What’s not to love.
DesignaFriend VIP Style Event
When we arrived at the venue, we saw a red carpet at the entrance. My girls felt so special when they saw it. They really loved it and it brought big smiles to their faces.
Inside they had pinky cakes and heart-shaped biscuits with pink lemonade. The decoration was really cute. They put a lot of attention to detail. It was all very pretty.
The event was split into different sections meaning all the girls invited could try out different things with the different dolls in the range. There were a Creative Fashion School sessions hosted by Ella, a Glamping Tent area hosted by Abi, a Styling Salon session hosted by Milly, a Fashion Boutique workshop hosted by Brooke and a Photo Booth Shoot studio hosted by Arianna.
Ella’s Fashion School
The first workshop we did was Ella’s Fashion School. The girls had all the materials to draw their own doll’s fashion outfit. They used a lot of glitter, LOL! They both did a great job.
Abi’s Glamping Tent.
We then moved on to the next session which was Abi’s Glamping Tent. The girls played with a few dolls while they were in the tent area. They had lots of accessories so they had a great time there playing.
Milly’s Styling Salon
The next session was at Milly’s Styling Salon. They got to do their nails with shiny and glitter nail polish as well as having some hair chalks in different colours. My girls love having their hair with lots of different colours. The messier the better! LOL
Brooke’s Fashion Boutique
After this session, we went back upstairs to Brooke’s Fashion Boutique. My girls got to dress up with their dolls in the latest collection of outfits and accessories. The idea was to match with their dolls. They look super cute!
Arianna’s Photo Booth Shoot Studio
Finally, they finished their slot at Arianna’s Photo Booth Shoot Studio. They used fun props and accessories and got some lovely photos!
We did all the workshops and they had so much fun at all the different sessions. My girls really had a super fun day and the best part of all is that they got to keep a doll! They also got a goodie bag with more accessories. They got a golden heart shape bag with the DesignaFriend logo. It is lovely. Sienna loves playing with it.
Also, inside the bag, they got paint sticks, a tattoo kit as well as a charm kit. It was all very thoughtful. My girls were so excited to play with the dolls and the accessories at home.
DesignaFriend Dolls
You know my girls absolutely love playing dolls so they were really excited to take their new dolls home to start playing with them. Bella got Chad Valley Designafriend Abi Doll and Sienna got Chad Valley Designafriend Holly Doll. The dolls are gorgeous. Each doll comes with its own little bracelet too for your child to wear with the DesignaFriend logo on.
The dolls are 18 inches tall and have a soft body with poseable legs. This makes them perfect for holding and cuddling. all the different dolls come with their own individual style making them all completely different. One of them is even a blogger! How cool is that?
Abi wears a stylish purple ‘cold shoulder’ T-Shirt and white distressed jeans, with matching suedette shoes. Tie her silky smooth hair up or accessorise for some glamorous festival style. She also comes with a silver bracelet.
Holly wears a pretty blue lace top with velcro fastening, a denim skirt and matching blue suedette shoes with a large blue hair clip and pink clutch bag. She has a silver Designafriend charm bracelet.
My girls have been playing with these dolls a lot. They really like their long silky hair. Especially Bella that loves playing hairdresser with the doll’s hairs. Apparently, she wants to be a hairdresser when she is older so now she is practising a lot! Bless her!
The dolls come inside a lovely box. The presentation is the best with these dolls and you can see all the attention to detail. I was very impressed. Each doll came with really cool and fashionable outfits including shoes, handbag and hair accessory.
Our Thoughts
I think the dolls are lovely and would be a fantastic present for any children who love playing with dolls. One of the lovely little touches is the bracelet which makes it a little more special I think. They have a huge range of accessories to choose from! Lots of different outfits as well as furniture. So endless items for the little ones to play with at home.

I love the look of Millys styling salon, how cute is that to have so much fun in! The more glitter the merrier. I get all of my girly time with my niece as having two boys means that often (not all of the time) I miss out on dressing up dolls. Great piece and I’m glad I found out about it:)
