We were asked by Petplan to be part of one of the most enjoyable campaigns ever! We love animals and we did have 2 gorgeous Persian cats but they are no longer with us so we don’t currently have a pet at home. The girls are desperate to get one, especially Bella who keeps asking for a dog. We are not ready to have a pet at home again for now so the only thing the girls can have for now is a Dream Pet!
MY DREAM PET
Petplan wanted Bella to draw her dream pet. They didn’t specify what type of pet, they only wanted children to put their artistic skills to the test. It could be anything, weird or fantastic. The only limit was their imagination! The idea was to convert this dream pet drawing into an amazing soft toy for Bella to keep and treasure. How amazing is that?
BELLA’S DRAWING
When I told Bella about this campaign she was super excited! She wanted to draw her dream pet straight away. She thought a lot about what to do before coming up with the following drawing:
It was a lovely and colorful parrot. Bella drew this parrot with so much attention to detail. It was beautiful. I was so proud of her!
She did a fantastic job. I was so impressed. The best part was all the colours that she included. She really wanted it to be very bright and cheerful. A pet that she would love to cuddle all the time. We then sent the drawing to Petplan to transform this lovely drawing into Bella’s own cuddly soft toy.
Before we tell you about the moment Bella received her soft toy, I thought I should introduce you to Petplan and all the wonderful things they are doing at the moment.

BELLA MEETS RAINBOW STAR
Bella was so excited about receiving a soft toy made from her drawing. Everyday she asked if it had arrived. She was so curious to see how it would turn out. After a couple weeks, the most day arrived and her dream pet was here! Hurrah!
It came in a lovely silk bag which was perfect to protect it. She opened the bag and saw Rainbow Star! This was actually the name she decided to call it after she saw it. I asked her why and she said it reminds her of a rainbow because of all the beautiful colours it has.
She was so happy when she finally saw it. She thought it was perfect and looked some much like her drawing! Petplan did a fantastic job. They managed to capture every single detail and they added all the different colours. It was amazing. The best present ever for Bella.
Since she received her parrot it has been her favourite and most treasured soft toy. She loves cuddling it and giving her (because Rainbow Star is a girl) lots of kisses!

I think this is such a lovely idea! We lost one of our dogs recently and my daughter is so desperate to get a cat but I’m allergic so she is going to have to make do with toy ones for now! #KCACOLS
