I have some exciting news to new mums and mums to be! There is a new product that is revolutionising the way that women breast pump! It is the Elvie Pump! It is the world’s first silent wearable breast pump. How amazing is that? And the best news is that I have been kindly given one so one of my lovely readers would be one of the first to try this fantastic pump! So please check the details about this giveaway at the bottom of the post.
The UK has one of the lowest breastfeeding rates in the world, with nearly two-thirds of women stopping before six months, often due to deterring social attitudes and reaching the end of maternity leave. Only 8% of UK women surveyed breastfed beyond 12 months so this product could be the answer to a lot of women.
A couple of months ago, I was invited to a lovely breakfast at Bourne & Hollingsworth in Farringdon for the launch of Elvie Pump. I got the opportunity to meet Tania Boler, the founder of Elvie, who explained to me and a group of mummy bloggers, everything about her latest product.
Elvie is a British brand that develops smarter technology for women. They create products that improve women’s lives. The first product they launched was back in 2015 and it was the Elvie Trainer which is an award-winning smart pelvic floor trainer and app.
They have now launched the Elvie Pump which offers more freedom and mobility than ever before to women who are breastfeeding. The Pump is completely silent and worn under your bra. It connects to an app that allows mums to monitor their milk volume and sessions. Fantastic right?
With Tania Boler
Also, the Elvie Pump was revealed during London Fashion Week where one of the models wore it whilst on the catwalk. This has been one of the most amazing things I’ve seen in the last few years! I was super impressed!
FEATURES
Wearable
Small and lightweight, Elvie Pump is worn inside a standard nursing bra, making it truly hands-free. Nothing to tie you down – or slow you down.
Silent
Revolutionary technology eliminates noise so that you can pump in peace – anytime, anywhere. It’s in stealth mode so that you don’t have to be.
Hassle-free
From setup to clean up, using Elvie Pump is simple – it has just 5 parts to clean and takes seconds to assemble. No cords, no wardrobe changes, no fuss.
Smart
Connect to the free Elvie Pump app to monitor milk volume in real time, track pumping history for each breast and control the pump remotely. (Elvie Pump works with or without the app).
PRICE & WHERE TO BUY
Elvie Pump retails at £229 for a single pump and £429 for a double. It is available to purchase at Elvie.com and major UK retailers such as John Lewis, Mamas & Papas, and will be available at Amazon soon too.

Susie Wilkinson says
I’ve never used a breast pump, and I’m a little too old to be needing one now! However, my stepdaughter is pregnant with her second child, so it would be a great gift for her!
amomentwithfranca says
Yes it would be perfect for her! 🙂
Ruth Harwood says
This looks good – I have used one before, many years ago – I think technology has moved on since then, or I hope so, anyway!!!!
amomentwithfranca says
Yes this is a fantastic gadget! Definitely technology has moved on!
Katie Skeoch says

Louise Reeks says
I never used one when mine were younger. but my daughter is very keen on using on
Davina Mellon says
I currently use a Medela – both manual & electric. It’s getting harder and harder to pump as my little girl becomes more mobile (she especially loves pulling at the tubing!!). The Elvie looks like an absolute lifesaver for mums like me – it blows my mind that you can pump while chasing your child round the room haha!
amomentwithfranca says
Exactly! How amazing is that! Definitely a revolutionary product! X
Stacey Carnell says
Wow, this is everything that my last breast pump was not! When I had my son 2.5 years ago I used a breast pump, I had to shut myself in the bedroom when I used it because it was so loud it was embarrassing when visitors were there and it would take up to an hour each time. I actually felt like cattle and it sounded like a cow too! This Elvie pump looks amazing! I am due my second baby in May 2019, this looks amazing and the fact that you can just pop it into your bra and use it on the go is such a time saver. You could even feed baby from one breast and then pump on the other, this could save the sanity of some Mums.
amomentwithfranca says
I know! I am so impressed too! So happy to see a product is ticking all the boxes! Congratulations on your new baby! Not long now! X
Nicola Farrel says
I used a pump with my two girls but hated being attached to it and the noise was off putting this sounds amazing!
Rebecca Nisbet says
I did with my first child, especially when it was sore to breastfeed. This would be handy for my sister now though, she is due in May!
justine meyer says
Yes I have used one in the past but didn’t really get on with it My friend is expecting and this would be fab for her
Ursula Hunt says
I didn’t use a breast pump when I was breast feeding but this is a great design and would be perfect for my daughter in law who is having my new granddaughter any day now
Charlotte G says
I used a Tommee Tippee one with my son 6 years ago
amy pest says
This is brilliant I have never seen anything like it this would definitely help and make me want to continue breastfeeding for longer
amomentwithfranca says
That is lovely to hear! Hope it helps! X
T Brailey says
This would be for my daughter who has not used a pump before. They always look so large and painful. This one looks very modern and has the look of comfort.
amomentwithfranca says
Yes, this pump is definitely very modern and very helpful! 🙂
paula cheadle says
I used a pump when I had my kids little, love to win this pump for my niece, who has not long had her baby girl
Jade Jones says
I breastfed both of my boys. my oldest was exclusively breast until 3 months old when I returned to college and started expressing and provided some formula too – my breast ump was big, unsightly, made me look like I was a cow being milked and was embarrassing to use publicly but i still did regardless of the stares and the whispers and sniggering that went on. now I intend to pump with this baby as my body struggles with fatigue a lot and breastfed babies feed on demand meaning a lot more often and meaning I get tired very quickly. plus my husband wants to do night feeds so to express means baby still gets the goodness of breast milk and hubby still gets to do the night feeds. This would be perfect as I can express anytime and any place and know that baby has already got a willing supply ready to go when needed without the emabarrassing looks, stares and sniggers (as a young mum this was damaging to my self esteem – including being chased out of a shop when my first born was newborn by security after being accused of stealing because i was breastfeeding my baby in the shop under a blanket for privacy. That ordeal made it so that I had to detach my already latched and feeding baby remove the blanket and show my breast to anyone walking by and a very intimidating security man. He did the same to my mum, who was breastfeeding my 18 month old sister at the time as well. Needless to say we reported it to the manager and made a scene in front of other customers to embarrass security the way he had done to me only not to the same degree of my embarrassment but I can proudly say that I have since been in that shop and breastfed, and our ordeal meant that that shop specifically went and created a breast feeding section for new mums. That security guard never bothered me again or my mum and was hopefully ashamed of his behaviour. count me in for the opportunity to breastfeed with no shame or embarrassment or fear of being accused of shoplifting because ive sat down to feed my child lol
amomentwithfranca says
Oh lovely, I am so sorry you had to experience that horrible moment! So glad you actually did something about it which means things changed in that store for all the breastfeeding mum out there! Thank you for that! Hope this device makes a huge difference this time around for you! Good luck! Xx
Charlene Merrall says
Wow this is absolutely amazing! What a fab invention! It’s so far from the horrible breast pumps you get at the moment! Much sleeker and classier
Catherine Bullas says
I’ve used a breast pump before, it was really useful.
Rachel Butterworth says

Chrissie says
This Pump looks Fantastic! I have never used one but currently pregnant with my first baby so would love to give it a try.
Carrie-Anne Brown says
no I have never used any before but this one looks a lot more modern
Imogen W says
I used a manual pump which I bought online at about 3am when trying and failing to breastfeed my first. It kept us going for a bit but it was so much work. I need to invest in something a little less labour intensive before number 2 arrives! This looks great, I wish someone had told me to buy one before having a baby the first time.
Amy Denney says
I have used a breast pump to different ones electric I must add. Oh and the noise you will never forget the noise of these breast pump only if they were silent. I used my pump with my little girl now 4 and expecting again and on a look for the best pump and especially quiet or no sound just sounds like a dream. With a new baby soon in the house I want it to be a settling time and no breast pump noise Thank you for this chance x
amomentwithfranca says
You are welcome! This pump is a literally a dream for any new mum! Good luck lovely x
