I have already mentioned before that I suffer from hayfever through the whole year. The months when it seems to get worse are April and June. I think during these months the pollen is at its highest level. This year has been the worst year that I can remember as I have been suffering badly all June. Nick, on the other hand who normally suffers a lot at this time of year, has been surprisingly much better than me. I have always been keen to find new products that can help me to ease the symptoms. I was lucky to be approached by the lovely people at HayMax who asked me to try their fantastic drug-free allergen barrier balms.
What is HayMax?
HayMax is a natural, organic allergen barrier balm (sometimes referred to as a nasal balm) that is applied to the rim of the nostrils. It can also be applied to the bones of the eyes. HayMax has been proven to reduce dust and pet allergens and more than a third of pollen from entering the body. Less allergen, less reaction.
How Does HayMax Work?
HayMax acts as a trap – or a blocker. The nasal balm applied to the bottom of the nose traps some of the pollen, dust or pet allergen before it enters the body. If there is less allergen in the body, there’s less for the body to react against.
Ingredients
HayMax is made from a blend of beeswax and seed oils, and then they add essential oils or aloe vera leaf juice extracts to create three additional varieties to the original version, HayMax Pure.
You can choose from five varieties of HayMax allergen barrier balm: Pure, Aloe Vera, Lavender, Frankincense and Kids. Each variety works in exactly the same way, by restricting the amount of dust and pet allergens and pollen that get into the body. All you do is wipe the balm onto the base of your nostrils. Magic.
HayMax is 100% natural, organic and drug free, so it’s suitable for children and pregnant or breastfeeding women to use. How fantastic is that? This is a great solution because when I was pregnant with both of my girls I really suffered a lot as I was not able to take any medicine so this would have been perfect for me.

I have been trying the Lavender and the pure balm ones and my eldest daughter Bella, who suffers from allergies, as well as asthma and eczema has been trying the kids balm. Bella and I both thought that it definitely helped us although I personally needed to still use some tablets but overall I felt some relief. I think each person is different so I would give it a try regardless as it can work even better for you.
Haymax balms retail at £6.99 per pot and can be purchased from Holland & Barrett; selected Boots; independent chemists, pharmacists and health stores. They have also won 42 awards! You can find more about HayMax on Facebook, Twitter, or by browsing their photos on Instagram.
Do you suffer from Hayfever too? If so, what do you normally do to ease the symptoms? Have you heard of HayMax before? What do you think of their balms? Do you think it is good that they have five different varieties? Would you like to try them? Leave a comment below as I would love to hear what you think.
*Disclaimer: I received this bundle of HayMax balms for the purpose of this review but all opinions and thoughts are my own.
Thanks for stopping by,
Love you all ❤️

I suffer from Hayfever throughout the year, but seem to worse in May. I have tried several nasal sprays and tablets over the years, and some seem to work for a while but then I start to become immune to them. Most recently I have been using benazone spray which is helping me through and at least gets rid of the blocked and congested nose. Would love to try the Lavender HayMax

I would love to try the Pure HayMax – it seems like a really good idea! I have had terrible hayfever since I was 7 years old. It’s not just sneezing and itchy/watery eyes, unfortunately there are some days that my throat is so itchy and swollen that I cannot speak or swallow – it’s like having tonsillitis! One summer, my tongue swelled so badly that I couldn’t speak for 3 weeks! I also get really itchy ears! I take medication and use cold face cloths for my eyes, plus lots of ice cream for my throat.

My hayfever has been bad this year and am always looking at alternatives to antihistamines as I don’t like taking medication whilst breastfeeding. I’ve been wearing glasses outside to help my itchy eyes, using Vaseline on my nostrils, and showering as soon as I get in to remove pollen

Both myself and my son suffer from hayfever and we either use eyedrops, nasal spray or medicine to ease the sympstoms. Would like to try the Aloe Vera

Both myself and our youngest daughter suffer quite badly from hayfever and various allergens. Our daughter is also asthmatic + suffers from Rhinitus which is always worse during the height of the hayfever season. We tend to use normal anti-histamine medications, tablets for me and liquid for my daughter but they are not always very effective. I would love to give this product a try as I really don’t like using artificial medications, especially on my daughter. I think the Lavendar would be gorgeous, as it is such a calm and soothing scent naturally.
