The Very Hungry Caterpillar Bundle

amomentwithfranca · 21 November 2016 · Leave a Comment

Since hearing that we are now Offical Bloggers for The Very Hungry Caterpillar we have been rather excited! You can see the lovely badge on our sidebar confirming this. We love The Very Hungry Caterpillar. It is so cute. I mean, who wouldn’t like it? As such, it was a great opportunity for us as part of this role to review a huge bundle with lots of amazing goodies. This is one of the cutest bundles we have received!

Eric Carle, the author of The Very Hungry Caterpillar, promotes the joys of playful learning that generations have experienced through his timeless stories and vibrant artwork. His books have inspired children for more than 40 years, with over 130 million books sold worldwide. How amazing is it, that one of his books is sold every 30 seconds?

The box we received had lots of fantastic VHC products. I will explain each of them below:

1. The World of Eric Carle Happy Tin – RRP £16.99

This tin is available from Easons, Sainsbury’s, Tesco and WH Smith Travel

This is a lovely, very pretty and colourful tin box. It is a perfect keepsake so when all of the contents have been used it would be great for a child to store all their most loved treasures! It contains 3 fun activity pads, 4 felt-tip pens, a poster and stickers.

The 3 activity pads are full of drawings to colour in and other fun activities. The sticker sheet comes with over 50 stickers! The poster is really pretty and is double-sided so your kids can flip it over to colour in, so it will be double the fun! This is perfect to take with you when you are out and about, especially for long journeys.

The tin is intended for children aged 3+ but I thought it was more suitable for Bella who is 6 years old as she can read the instructions very well. She did all the activities on her own too, and only asked a few questions when she didn’t understand an activity.

2. The World of Eric Carle Activity Book and 2-in-1 Jigsaw Puzzle – RRP: £7.99

This activity book and puzzle are available from Sainsbury’s, Tesco, TK Maxx, Toys R Us and WH Smith

This wonderful carry case contains a pad with fun counting activities and a 36-piece double-sided jigsaw puzzle. Once children have put the jigsaw together they can then turn it over and they will be able to colour in using some crayons. This is a great idea as I think its something you will get a lot of use out of!

vhc-activity-book-3

This activity book will help your child with numbers, nature and tactile play. The box is lovely with pretty colours and has a velcro fastener at the front making it easy to open and close. Bella really liked the activity book. She spent quite some time doing it. Sienna loved the puzzle, which we actually did together as she was too little to do it on her own. It was really fun to do!

3. The Very Hungry Caterpillar Nature Walk Scrapbook – RRP £7.99

Available from all good bookshops nationwide.

vhc-scrapbook

The Nature Walk Scrapbook, featuring The Very Hungry Caterpillar and his friends from The World of Eric Carle, is the perfect place to stick all the treasures you find on your nature walk and to draw pictures of the things you have seen. There are lots of ideas for things to find and bugs to look out for. It contains two sticker sheets.

This scrapbook has been amazing as both my girls have loved it. Sienna loved placing stickers all over it and Bella loved drawing in it. I was surprised at how entertaining this is. We even did this whilst travelling on the Tube the other day and it was perfect, keeping them distracted for most of the journey. I was very pleased with it.

This book can also be a great gift. It has lots of ideas and activities to do. I definitely recommend it. Any child will really appreciate you getting this for them.

4. The Very Hungry Caterpillar 4 in 1 Games Box – RRP £8.99

vhc-4-in1-game-box-content

The Very Hungry Caterpillar’s 4 in 1 Games Cube is really cool! It comes with four traditional games – Matching Bingo, Snap, Twisted Pairs and Four Shapes in a Row – to keep your little ones entertained for hours! These games are just perfect for children aged 3 and upwards to help encourage and stimulate their little minds.

If you turn the puzzle over, there is a bingo game too. How practical is that? You need to match the animals and the minibeasts using the little cards.

The cards have beautifully coloured images. You can play 2 games with them, one game is snap chat and the other is matching pairs.

5. The Very Hungry Caterpillar Junior Duvet – RRP: £24.99

Available from Argos, Amazon, John Lewis and Toys R Us

vhc-junior-duvet-set

This is a really lovely set. It has the Very Hungry Caterpillar design with lots of caterpillars and food. It has a white background with colourful spots. The pillowcase has the wording ‘Very Hungry Caterpillar’ on one side and on the other side, it has a caterpillar.

This is a junior size bed. Unfortunately, it didn’t fit my girl’s beds as they have standard single sized duvets. I managed to put it over the bed, despite not have the duvet inside the cover it still looks very pretty. I’m now thinking that it could be a really cute gift for my nephew.

It is 100% Cotton Machine Washable and can be tumble dried. The size of the duvet cover is 120 cm x 150 cm and the pillowcase size is 62 cm x 42 cm.

6. The Very Hungry Caterpillar – Birthday Card Range – RRP: £2.19 each

Available from all good independent card shops and Grocers

vhc-birthday-cards-range

These cards are beautiful with lots of colours. The envelopes are bright yellow. We really like them, that much that we have already used them. Bella sent one to two of her school friends who had birthdays recently. We were very pleased to have them as they really look great and stand out – who wouldn’t like to receive a cute caterpillar birthday card, right?

7. The Very Hungry Caterpillar Napkins – RRP: £5.50 & The Very Hungry Caterpillar Garland – RRP: £5.50

vhc-napkins-garland

These lovely napkins and garland are products from the party range at Talking Tables. They have a large range of party products. You can create your own The Very Hungry Caterpillar Birthday Party!

These napkins are really colourful and cheerful. They have a bright green and red strawberry print. Each pack contains 20 paper napkins with your favourite children’s book character feasting on vibrant red juicy strawberries. They are an ideal party favour for the little ones.

The printed paper garland is really pretty. It is 3 metres long with 16 bright and colourful pennants featuring the designs of a vibrant rainbow, multi-coloured butterfly, and the hungry caterpillar with his yummy strawberry.

8. Caterpillar shaped party plate – RPP £23.50

vhc-shaped-party-plate

This is such a lovely party plate. It is really cute and I’m looking forward to using it the next time we have a party at home or entertaining guests. It has a good size so you can fit 4 different snacks there. Each section has a lovely picture of a fruit. It is made of porcelain but is Dishwasher Safe as well as Microwave Safe, Oven Proof and Freezer Proof. How fantastic is that? You can get this gorgeous shaped party plate from Portmeirion. They have a really stunning Very Hungry Caterpillar range.

You can find out more about the Very Hungry Caterpillar on Facebook where they have regular updates on their new products and activities.

What do you think of this bundle? Are you also a fan of The Very Hungry Caterpillar? Which product do you like the most? Which would you love to try? Please leave a comment below as I would love to read what you think.
