#KCACOLS – 11th June 2017

amomentwithfranca · 10 June 2017 · 4 Comments

Welcome back to #KCACOLS. I hope you are all well! We had 77 link ups! THANK YOU ALL so much for being part of the linky! I really appreciate your support. For new people joining us this week, I really hope you like #KCACOLS and that you come back again next time! You can also find out more about this linky in the #KCACOLS linky page! 🙂

kcacols700x400

Another couple of weeks which included another awful incident. I am in shock after what happened in London last weekend. I have visited Borough Market so many times with friends and family so it was very scary to hear about. If you were there or have friends or families that were, I really hope they are all safe. My heart is with all the people that were affected by it. I really loved the concert organised by Arianna Grande that took place in Manchester last Sunday. It was beautiful and emotional. We also had the elections. Did you vote? I voted, so I feel good that I did my part. Not sure if the results are what anyone wanted but let’s see how things go and let’s hope things turn out good for all of us.

Nick and I celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary on 31st May when we went to a cool private screening of a tv show called Ransom in Central London. We then went for some drinks! It was fun! We also attended a few family events over the last couple of weeks. We went to Shrek’s Adventure, then to Geronimo Festival, we visited a new trampoline park called Flip Out and finally, we went to a nice lunch at a cool restaurant in Barnet, Red Lion Stonehouse. So we have been very busy but happy to have the blog that keeps us all entertained!

Each link up, I love sharing a couple of photos from my last 2 weeks on Instagram, so here are two of my favourites:

#KCACOLS ON INSTAGRAM

Thank you so much for using the #KCACOLS hashtag on Instagram for all your photos. There are now 6,890 photos! Yay! It is lovely to see all your photos there! I would love it if more of you could use the hashtag for your photos and of course it would be even better if we all also spread some love there! As I mentioned before, I am featuring 2 photos from the community that have caught my eye since the last link up.

This time I’m featuring photos by:

  1.  KERRY from Blissful Domestication

KCACOLS CROWD FACEBOOK GROUP

THANK YOU to all of you that have joined the #KCACOLS CROWD Facebook Group. You can join us here. Also if you do join, please send me a direct message with the name of your blog so then I know who you are without having to figure out your blog name 🙂

NOW BACK TO THE LINKY

We got 77 links! I was a little bit sad to see that it was the lowest amount of link ups we have had in a while, especially after having so many link ups the time before. By Thursday, we had a high number of posts that needed more comments. We had 46 posts that needed more love and about 23 people that had not done the commenting before their post.

By Saturday this number was reduced to 14 and 11 respectively. I have REMINDED people about commenting but not sure if they have done it. I hope they have now so hopefully this number is now reduced. The good news is that from the 14 posts I mentioned, only 2 have 2 comments and the remaining 12 have 3 comments so it is not that bad! Let’s hope we have a better link up this time! 🙂

DON’T FORGET ABOUT THE NEW CHANGES TO THE LINKY

The linky is a fortnightly linky. It will be open for 2 weeks until the second Wednesday at 8 pm or until we reach 150 link ups, whichever comes first.

The rules will be the same, the only difference is the amount of time that the linky will be open for. The co-hosts and I will be allowed to change our posts on the following Saturday after the linky is live. Please be aware of these changes during the second week.

I would suggest that you link up one post each week so you will be able to share something different and current each week. I will also be more strict regarding commenting on the post before yours.

LINKY TWEETS

I’m not tweeting individual people once the linky is live but I will tweet the people that have been featured and mentioned. I’ll also post a link to the new linky post on the Facebook Group, pin it on my Twitter account and on my Facebook page together with some generic tweets. And of course, I will email all of you the link. If you could also share it by clicking the link below that would be FABULOUS!

Tweet Me!

PLEASE REMEMBER

  • I am not pushing for the 4 comments per post anymore. I will keep showing a list of posts that have fewer comments on my Thank You email to encourage people to comment more on those but after that, I will not keep asking. It will be lovely if we can get a minimum of 2 comments per post but of course, we should be aiming for more.
  • To approve your comments and check your SPAM folders (this is such a HUGE problem for me as it keeps being part of why I can’t have a current list as I know for sure lots of posts have comments that have not been approved yet)
  • I’m expecting a minimum of 5 comments per person (1 host, 3 co-hosts and the post before yours) and if you link up 2 posts I would expect 6 comments as a minimum per person (1 host, 3 co-hosts, the posts before yours and 1 more )
  • To comment on the post before yours. If you have any problems commenting on the post before yours please just send me a message and I will do my best to help.
  • If you receive a lot of comments, try to reciprocate to the ones that have taken the time to comment on your post. It is all about being generous with each other and spreading lots of love.
  • Do not link up and run.
  • Do not forget to add the linky badge.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR NEW LINKERS:

PLEASE START with commenting on the post linked up before yours FIRST and then comment on any other posts as much as you would like. Also, use the hashtag #KCACOLS when commenting (this is indeed very important so I can then see how many comments you are doing and then be able to feature you in my linky post which is always great for you as you get a backlink which helps improve your DA).

Thank you so much for all your comments on the host posts and the linky post. As always, I have read and liked all your comments! We will do our best for you to receive a comment from someone on behalf of the linky (either the co-hosts or me).

MONTHLY GUEST CO-HOST

This week the “monthly” guest co-host will be MARIA from Suburban Mum. These are her social media accounts (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, & Pinterest). She will also be re-tweeting your tweets this week so please add her twitter handle (@suburb4nmum) to your tweets as well as mine. Finally, she has a guest co-host post, 20 Facts About Me linked up too. Please if you could go there and add a comment it would be AWESOME!

GUEST CO-HOSTS FROM PREVIOUS LINK

I would like to say THANK YOU so much to CASSIE from Gorgeous Georges Mama and ALI from Ali’s Upside Down World for helping me with the commenting this week! They have not co-hosted before and they have done an AMAZING job. I really enjoyed co-hosting with them! It was fun! 🙂

GUEST CO-HOSTS FOR THIS WEEK

My first guest co-host this week is CHERYL from Tea or Wine. I’m very excited to have Cheryl co-hosting the linky with me this time. It is the first time that she is co-hosting so we are both very excited. She has a lifestyle blog where she discusses whatever is on her mind at any moment in time. She has been married for 7 years and she has two beautiful girls. She has been linking with us for a few months and she has been always very supportive. Please give some love to her social media accounts which are (Twitter, Instagram,  & Pinterest). She will also be retweeting your tweets this week so please add her twitter handle (@cherylebarry) to your tweets as well as mine. Finally, she has a guest co-host post, 5 ways my kids have it better than me linked up too. Please if you could go there and add a comment it would be AWESOME!

My second guest co-host this week is EMMA from Me And B Make Tea. You all know Emma pretty well by now. She has been featured, mentioned and also she has co-hosted this linky many times now. She also helps me with the facebook group, so as you can see she is a very important part of #kcacols. I realised that I have not mentioned before what her blog is about. So here it goes, lol. She blogs about fun food ideas, days out, random thoughts and the bits in between! She is married and has a gorgeous boy. I’m looking forward to co-hosting with her again. Please give her some love to her social media accounts which are (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram & Pinterest). She will also be retweeting your tweets this week so please add her twitter handle (@meandbmaketea) to your tweets as well as mine. Finally, she has a guest co-host post, 13 reasons why…parents should watch 13 reasons why linked up too. Please if you could go there and add a comment it would be AWESOME!!

FEATURED POSTS – TOP 3

Note: Just a quick note to mention that Emma from Me and B Make Tea was at the top with 36 comments but because she is a co-host this week I am featuring Bread who was after her)

So, the person who commented the most this last link up was BREAD from Winging It. This is just amazing! Bread has been regularly featured and mentioned for a while now and I feel very grateful to have her as a super loyal linker. She has also helped me co-host the linky which was very nice of her. She always comments a lot within the linky which is lovely!  She was AMAZING commenting on 28 posts! Thank you so much, BREAD! One of her posts from last week was Adventures in Mush: Baby enforced weaning. Please go to her post and give her more love if you can.

The second person(s) who commented a lot was EPRIL & AMY from Eps and Amy. And they did it again! Yey! I love seeing Eps & Amy in the top 3! They always take the time to comment which is really nice. They were FAB commenting on 18 posts! Thank you so much, EPRIL & AMY! One of their posts from last week was Healthy transformation: inspiring story of my friend’s weight loss.  Please go to their post and give them more love if you can.

The third person who commented a lot was LISA from Mum Dad Plus 4. It is so lovely to see new linkers in my top commenters! I love seeing new faces that get this linky straight away. I’m so grateful for all her commenting! I hope we will see her here again soon in the top 3! She was GREAT commenting on 14 posts! Thank you so much, LISA! Her post from last week was Digestive Health – Do you suffer with yours?.  Please go to her post and give her more love if you can

FEATURED POSTS – TOP 6

Behind Bread, Eps & Amy, and Lisa were ALEX from My Life Long Holiday with 15 comments, TRACEY from One Frazzled Mum with 14 comments and FIONA from Coombemill with 13 comments. Thank you so much, lovely ladies!!! 🙂

For this week’s linky I am linking up A Lovely Weekend in Vienna and London Duck Tours Review so I hope you like them! 😉

Please do not forget to follow and check out the #KCACOLS Pinterest Board. We have pinned all your posts from last week’s linky so please go and have a look. There are some great posts that deserve a read!

[do_widget id=”text-21″ title=false]

Now let’s carry on with the linky:

NEW RULES:

Every 2 weeks I will choose 6 people who have commented A LOT within the linky. Three will be featured and another three will be mentioned on my fortnightly Saturday linky post. This means that 6 people will get a backlink on my new linky post every other Saturday!

1. Be sure to grab the #KCACOLS badge which can be found below or on my sidebar. Simply copy the code from the box below the badge and add it to the text/html at the bottom of your post or place it on your blog sidebar.

2. You can link up to 2 posts. I recommend you to link up one post each week to get the most of the linky.

3. You can share anything that you would like. It is open to absolutely any subject and also you can link up posts that are old or new. You are allowed to link up another linky ONLY if it is a promotional post about the linky and you can do this only once and I expect you to put my badge or a link to my linky and of course to follow the rules regarding commenting.

4. Comment on:

  • one of the hosts’ posts (choose one that you would like to comment).
  • the monthly guest co-host post.
  • the guest co-hosts posts.
  • the post which is linked up immediately before yours.
  • and finally, any other post that you would like to comment on.

That way everybody receives at least two comments (one from the host/guest co-hosts and one from others).

5. This linky will be open every other Saturday from 10 pm and will remain open until the following 2nd Wednesday at 08.00 pm or until we reach 150 link ups, whichever comes first.

6. If you would like us to tweet your post that is absolutely fine, just tweet your link to me @WithFranca, MARIA @suburb4nmum, CHERYL @cherylebarry and EMMA @meandbmaketea and we will retweet it. Please remember to use the hashtag #KCACOLS.

7. Finally, if you could please follow A Moment With Franca (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest , Bloglovin, Google+ and YouTube) that would be fantastic!! 😉

I look forward to reading and commenting your posts!! 🙂
