#KCACOLS – 14th April 2019

amomentwithfranca · 13 April 2019 · 23 Comments

Welcome back to #KCACOLS. I hope you are all well! We had 36 link ups last time! THANK YOU ALL so much for being part of the linky! I really appreciate your support. For new people joining us this week, I really hope you like #KCACOLS and that you come back again next time! You can also find out more about this linky on the #KCACOLS linky page! 🙂

PLEASE READ

PLEASE READ THE SECTION ABOUT THE RESULTS OF THIS LINKUP. I HAVE A QUESTION FOR YOU SO I WOULD APPRECIATE IF I HAVE SOME ANSWERS. THANK YOU.

These last few weeks and more I have been struggling with my energy. I feel tired all the time and was wondering what is going on with me so after talking with my doctor she suggested doing a blood test. I got the results this week and I have a super low iron which now explains my lack of energy. I was finding it so hard to do anything and having the girls around during the holidays have been hard. I have bought some liquid iron sachets which I have been taking for the past couple of days with fresh orange juice. I really hope they help me as I am in need of an energy boost. My girls are staying at their grandparents for a few days which is perfect timing as I really need the time to recharge batteries and hopefully these supplements will start kicking in.

Regarding the blog, we attended another screening in central London. This time it was “Missing Link” which was very funny. We only took Sienna as Bella had a birthday party that day. We also went to a show in Piccadilly Circus at the Theatre Royal on Haymarket, called “Where is Peter Rabbit?” which was really good. The girls enjoyed it. We have also been reviewing some new cool toys like the new Baby Born Surprise which are their brand new collectables. The dolls are super cute. We also got the coolest toy ever! We received the new Rollplay Nighthawk which is a ride, slide and glide vehicle. The girls have been loving this outdoor toy so much. It is a lot of fun! I will be doing a review soon.

Each link up, I love sharing a couple of photos from my last 2 weeks on Instagram, so here are two of my favourites:

#KCACOLS ON INSTAGRAM

Thank you so much for using the #KCACOLS hashtag on Instagram for all your photos. It is lovely to see your photos there! I am so excited that we have more than 12.2k photos that have used the hashtag! I am thrilled! I would love it if more of you could use the hashtag for your photos and of course it would be even better if we all also spread some love there! I am featuring 1 photo from the community that has caught my eye since the last link up. This time I’m featuring BREAD from My Queer Little Family. See her photo below:

KCACOLS CROWD FACEBOOK GROUP

THANK YOU to all of you that have joined the #KCACOLS CROWD Facebook Group. You can join us here. Also if you do join, please send me a direct message with the name of your blog so then I know who you are without having to figure out your blog name 🙂

PLEASE READ BELOW:

I am not sure if it is because I am not feeling very well but I am very upset about the results of this last linkup. I am not sure what it is but the whole energy has disappeared completely. Not sure if it is because of the holidays or if perhaps people don’t bother anymore. It takes time and effort to deal with a linky and I have been doing this for more than 4 years but if people are not interested anymore I guess I will have to stop it.

The amount of posts that need more comments is high, the amount of people that haven’t commented is high and the amount of comments per person is low in general. Everything else feels like is not the same anymore. If you still like this linky and want me to keep running it, let me know in the comments. I will have to make a decision.

Also, remember to comment on the co-hosts posts. Please also be aware that I’m BLOCKING URLs/Emails of people that have joined the linky and have not commented on any posts for consecutive weeks. If you find I have blocked you by mistake, please contact me.

FORTNIGHTLY LINKY

The linky will be open for 2 weeks until the second Wednesday at 8 pm or until we reach 100 link ups, whichever comes first.

The co-hosts and I will be allowed to change our posts on the following Saturday after the linky is live. Please be aware of these changes during the second week.

I would suggest that you link up one post each week so you will be able to share something different and current each week. I will also be more strict regarding commenting on the post before yours.

LINKY TWEETS

I’m not tweeting individual people once the linky is live but I will tweet the people that have been featured and mentioned. I’ll also post a link to the new linky post on the KCACOLS Facebook Group, pin it on my Twitter account and on my Facebook page together with some generic tweets. I will of course, email all of you the link. If you could also share it by clicking the link below that would be FABULOUS!

Tweet Me!

PLEASE REMEMBER

  • I am not pushing for the 4 comments per post anymore. I will keep showing a list of posts that have fewer comments on my Thank You email to encourage people to comment more on those but after that, I will not keep asking. It will be lovely if we can get a minimum of 2 comments per post but of course, we should be aiming for more.
  • To approve your comments and check your SPAM folders (this is such a HUGE problem for me as it keeps being part of why I can’t have a current list as I know for sure lots of posts have comments that have not been approved yet)
  • I’m expecting a minimum of 4 comments per person (1 host, 2 co-hosts and the post before yours) and if you link up 2 posts I would expect 5 comments as a minimum per person (1 host, 2 co-hosts, the posts before yours and 1 more )
  • To comment on the post before yours. If you have any problems commenting on the post before yours please just send me a message and I will do my best to help.
  • If you receive a lot of comments, try to reciprocate to the ones that have taken the time to comment on your post. It is all about being generous with each other and spreading lots of love.
  • Do not link up and run.
  • Do not forget to add the linky badge.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR NEW LINKERS:

PLEASE START by commenting on the post linked up before yours FIRST and then comment on any other posts as much as you would like. Also, use the hashtag #KCACOLS when commenting (this is indeed very important so I can then see how many comments you are doing and then be able to feature you in my linky post which is always great for you as you get a backlink which helps improve your DA).

Thank you so much for all your comments on the host posts and the linky post. As always, I have read and liked all your comments! We will do our best for you to receive a comment from someone on behalf of the linky (either the co-hosts or me).

GUEST CO-HOSTS FROM THE PREVIOUS LINK UP

I would like to say THANK YOU so much to JENNA  from Northern Bird and MALIN from Sensational Learning With Penguin for helping me with the commenting this week! They have done a great job! 🙂

GUEST CO-HOSTS FOR THIS LINK UP

My first guest co-host this week is TRACEY from One Frazzled Mum. Tracey has always given me a hand with the linky. She has co-hosted with me so many times. She is a great supporter of this linky which I appreciate so much! Tracey has a parenting blog and also she loves to write fiction stories. Her dream is to be able to publish a fiction book one day. She is a single mum of a beautiful 13-year-old daughter, Olivia. She is a really good friend to me. Please give her social media accounts some love (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, & Pinterest). She will also be retweeting your tweets this week so please add her twitter handle (@frazzledmumblog) to your tweets as well as mine. Finally, she has a guest co-host post, My Social Anxiety and Me linked up too. If you could please go there and add a comment it would be AWESOME!

My second co-host this week is LAURA from Mummy Lauretta. This is the 4th time that Laura is co-hosting this linky. It is lovely to have her back. She has a parenting blog. She has 2 identical twins with her Italian partner, Matteo. She started her blog to share her experiences as a mother of twins. I am really looking forward to co-hosting the linky with her again. Please give some love to her social media accounts which are (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook & Pinterest). She will also be retweeting your tweets this week so please add her twitter handle (@MummyLauretta) to your tweets as well as mine. Finally, she has a guest co-host post, April is C-Section Awareness Month – Can a caesarean birth be a positive experience? linked up too. Please if you could go there and add a comment it would be AWESOME!

FEATURED POSTS – TOP 3

The person who commented the most this week was LANA from Finding Inspiration In The Chaos. Lana, you really put a big smile on my face this week. It is really lovely to see how much you care about others and leave lovely comments on a lot of people’s posts. It takes time to do this and I really appreciate this effort from you. It is very kind and lovely! So thank you very much! She did 33 comments! One of her posts from the last link up was #FamilyFriday, January 11, 2019 Please go to the post and give some more love if you can.

The second person who commented a lot was FIONA from Coombemill. It is lovely to have Fiona within the 3 top commenters! She has been linking with us for a few years and she has always been amazing. She does so many lovely comments every linkup which is really nice. I love having her as part of kcacols! She has commented on 11 posts! Her posts from last week was March 2019 Highlights & Cornish Events April 19. Please visit her post and give her more love if you can.

The third person who commented a lot was JEREMY from Thirsty Daddy. This is fantastic news! I am so happy to have Jeremy within the top 3 commenters. He has been mentioned before but I have never featured him. He has also joined the linky for a few years now, to be exact in Feb 2017 so it is more than 2 years now. It is really nice to have a daddy blogger joining us for so long. Thank yous so much Jeremy for your support. He has commented on 10 posts! His post from last week was An Awkward Moment At The Playground Please visit her post and give her more love if you can.

FEATURED POSTS – TOP 6

Behind Lana, Fiona and Jeremy were SHAN from Mam Rants And Reviews with 9 comments, LYDIA from Pandora and Max with 8 comments and NATALIE from Confessions of a Crummy Mummy with 7 comments. Thank you so much to all of you! 🙂

For this week’s linky I am linking up Why Staybridge Suites Manchester Is The Perfect Place To Stay As A Family and All You Need To Know About The New Kinder Ice Cream Range For Families so I hope you like them! 😉

Please do not forget to follow and check out the #KCACOLS Pinterest Board. We have pinned all your posts from last week’s linky so please go and have a look. There are some great posts that deserve a read!

[do_widget id=”text-21″ title=false]

Now let’s carry on with the linky:

RULES:

Every 2 weeks I will choose 6 people who have commented A LOT on the linky. Three will be featured and another three will be mentioned in my fortnightly Saturday linky post. This means that 6 people will get a backlink on my new linky post every other Saturday!

1. Be sure to grab the #KCACOLS badge which can be found below or on my sidebar. Simply copy the code from the box below the badge and add it to the text/html at the bottom of your post or place it on your blog sidebar.

2. You can link up to 2 posts. I recommend you to link up one post each week to get the most of the linky.

3. You can share anything that you would like. It is open to absolutely any subject and also you can link up posts that are old or new. You are allowed to link up another linky ONLY if it is a promotional post about the linky and you can do this only once and I expect you to put my badge or a link to my linky and of course to follow the rules regarding commenting.

4. Comment on:

  • one of the hosts’ posts (choose one that you would like to comment).
  • the guest co-hosts posts.
  • the post which is linked up immediately before yours.
  • and finally, any other post that you would like to comment on.

That way everybody receives at least two comments (one from the host/guest co-hosts and one from others).

5. This linky will be open every other Saturday from 10 pm and will remain open until the following 2nd Wednesday at 08.00 pm or until we reach 100 link ups, whichever comes first.

6. If you would like us to tweet your post that is absolutely fine, just tweet your link to me @WithFranca, TRACEY @frazzledmumblog and LAURA @MummyLauretta and we will retweet it. Please remember to use the hashtag #KCACOLS.

7. Finally, if you could please follow A Moment With Franca (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube) that would be fantastic!! 😉

I look forward to reading and commenting on your posts!! 🙂

Awww, I love this linky! I certainly didn’t comment as much as I usually do in the last link-up as I’ve had a pretty stressful and hectic few weeks but I’d be really sorry to see #KCACOLS go! You work so hard to keep it going and everyone can see that! Please don’t be disheartened! xxx

I really like this linky! I understand it’s a lot of work for you though, and you may not feel it’s worthwhile if people just dump and run. Sorry to hear that. But from the far side of the globe, I ‘m happy 🙂 Thank you. Hope you’re health picks up. That makes everything so hard.

Hi Franca, you know I love this linky! And even if this last round was not as active as some other rounds, I’m sure this is still one of the most active linkies around, so it would be super sad to see it go. I think most blogging things are always slower around holidays, aren’t they? And of course, that means this round may still suffer an ”Easter effect” as many have the kids off school and less time (if any) for blogging… Hopefully it picks up again after Easter! And hopefully your own energy levels will also be better by then! I was found to have low iron last summer, after feeling dreadful for quite a while before daring a visit to the dr. It got much better with supplements. However, I’ve been increasingly exhausted again lately so will need to ask for blood tests again soon I think. It really makes everything in life feel much more difficult when you’re constantly tired, doesn’t it?
Big hugs, I hope all will feel better soon!! xx

Thank you Malin! Your lovely words really make a difference. It really encourage me to carry on as I would definitely love for this linky to keep going. It is so important for me to have feedback so then I know people are happy which ultimately is what this linky is for. I think you are right, being unwell and with no energy definitely changes everything as I just feel so tired. I didn’t know you were also feeling like this last summer. Sorry to hear that but great that the supplements helped. I hope they do the same to me. And yes you should get another blood test to make sure you are ok or if you need another boost like me. Good luck with it 🙂 xx
