HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY FOR TOMORROW! Welcome back to #KCACOLS. I hope you are all well! We had 44 link ups last time! THANK YOU ALL so much for being part of the linky! I really appreciate your support. For new people joining us this week, I really hope you like #KCACOLS and that you come back again next time! You can also find out more about this linky on the #KCACOLS linky page! 🙂
REMINDER
The previous version of the Inlinkz system I was using has now expired so I am using the new version now. I am learning to use it still, so if you have any issues please let me know. I also wanted to mention that in order to add a link to the linky through Inlinkz you now need to sign in to their platform. I know this could put people off a little bit but bear in mind that due to GDPR, they are forced to verify personal information of any sorts as they act as a controller for the hosts of a linky. Also, it stops automated entries from scripts as well as seeing who is adding links on their own and who is paying someone to drop off massively entries through VAs. I haven’t had that on #kcacols but apparently, it happens a lot to bigger linkies. I am so sorry if this is an inconvenience for you but I hope you stick with us and still join us as we have created a really lovely community here for more than 4 years! So let’s keep growing!
The last couple of weeks have been relatively quiet regarding my blog but intense on a personal level because we have been unwell at home. Each of us has been ill at some point which has become a very long couple of weeks. First was Bella, then Nick, then Sienna and finally I got it too. A horrible cold with fever, coughs, blocked nose and difficulties breathing! Not nice at all! We have managed to survive all of that and now we are all back to normal. I am really looking forward to Spring with lovely sunny and warmer days and do something nice during the Easter holidays.
The girls had their school concerts this week and it was so lovely to see them singing and dancing. Bella was playing the ukelele which was so lovely to watch. I was so impressed how much has she learnt in such a short amount of time. She only started learning it this term.
Regarding the blog, we attended a screening of the new Peppa Pig Movie. This was more a movie for Sienna but Bella had a good time too. The same day was St Patrick’s Day so we were lucky to see the parade taking place in London. It was fun. We also went to Chessington World of Adventures last weekend. It was fun but the queues were very long so we couldn’t do as much as we wanted.
Each link up, I love sharing a couple of photos from my last 2 weeks on Instagram, so here are two of my favourites:
#KCACOLS ON INSTAGRAM
Thank you so much for using the #KCACOLS hashtag on Instagram for all your photos. It is lovely to see your photos there! I am so excited that we have more than 12.2k photos that have used the hashtag! I am thrilled! I would love it if more of you could use the hashtag for your photos and of course it would be even better if we all also spread some love there! I am featuring 1 photo from the community that has caught my eye since the last link up. This time I’m featuring GERALDINE from Over Heaven’s Hill. See her photo below:
KCACOLS CROWD FACEBOOK GROUP
THANK YOU to all of you that have joined the #KCACOLS CROWD Facebook Group. You can join us here. Also if you do join, please send me a direct message with the name of your blog so then I know who you are without having to figure out your blog name 🙂

Send Me #KCACOLS New Linky Notifications
We had 44 link ups. I am happy to see that we got more linkups this time. That really brought a big smile to my face! What really put me down instead was the number of posts that needed more comments this time. We had 23 posts that needed more comments on Thursday. And by today we only managed to reduce it to 16 posts. That is definitely not good and not what this linky is about. We always have a good turn around in terms of commenting so please let’s bring that standard back.
Regarding the people that have not commented on the post before theirs, we got 12 people on Thursday. By Saturday morning we reduced this number to 8. It is still a high number which I wish we have managed to reduced by now.
Also, remember to comment on the co-hosts posts. Please also be aware that I’m BLOCKING URLs/Emails of people that have joined the linky and have not commented on any posts for consecutive weeks. If you find I have blocked you by mistake, please contact me.
FORTNIGHTLY LINKY The linky will be open for 2 weeks until the second Wednesday at 8 pm or until we reach 100 link ups, whichever comes first. The co-hosts and I will be allowed to change our posts on the following Saturday after the linky is live. Please be aware of these changes during the second week. I would suggest that you link up one post each week so you will be able to share something different and current each week. I will also be more strict regarding commenting on the post before yours. |
LINKY TWEETS
I’m not tweeting individual people once the linky is live but I will tweet the people that have been featured and mentioned. I’ll also post a link to the new linky post on the KCACOLS Facebook Group, pin it on my Twitter account and on my Facebook page together with some generic tweets. I will of course, email all of you the link. If you could also share it by clicking the link below that would be FABULOUS!
PLEASE REMEMBER
|
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR NEW LINKERS: PLEASE START by commenting on the post linked up before yours FIRST and then comment on any other posts as much as you would like. Also, use the hashtag #KCACOLS when commenting (this is indeed very important so I can then see how many comments you are doing and then be able to feature you in my linky post which is always great for you as you get a backlink which helps improve your DA). |
Thank you so much for all your comments on the host posts and the linky post. As always, I have read and liked all your comments! We will do our best for you to receive a comment from someone on behalf of the linky (either the co-hosts or me).
GUEST CO-HOSTS FROM THE PREVIOUS LINK UP
I would like to say THANK YOU so much to ALI from Ali’s Upside Down World and EMMA from Me and B Make Tea for helping me with the commenting this week! They have done a fantastic job! It was lovely co-hosting with them!

My first guest co-host this week is JENNA from Northern Bird. This is the first time that Jenna is co-hosting with me and I am super excited to have her. She has joined the linky not long ago but she has become such a crucial linker for us. Jenna lives in Sheffield, South Yorkshire with her husband James and her cat Shelley. She is a sci-fi nerd, vegetarian, bookworm, crochet friend who loves animals and anything Kawaii and/or purple. She blogs about her lifestyle as well as mental health including things, places and people that impact on this; both positive and negative. Please give her some love to her social media accounts which are (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram & Pinterest). She will also be retweeting your tweets this week so please add her twitter handle (@Northern_bird84) to your tweets as well as mine. Finally, she has a guest co-host post, Why You Can’t Make Sweeping Statements About Borderline Personality Disorder linked up too. Please if you could go there and add a comment it would be AWESOME!
My second guest co-host this week is MALIN from Sensational Learning With Penguin. This is the second time that Malin is co-hosting with me, so I am super happy to have her back. Since she joined this linky she has been a supporter of the linky which is lovely. Malin has a parenting blog. Her blog is about Mummy and Penguin which is a place for them to share what they do and why. Penguin has a diagnosis of autism, and they recently opted for home education. She shares their days out, baking, crafts, play dough among other activities. Please give her social media accounts some love (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, & Pinterest). She will also be retweeting your tweets this week so please add her twitter handle (@senlearnuk) to your tweets as well as mine. Finally, she has a guest co-host post, This is us: A ‘better late than never’ introduction linked up too. If you could please go there and add a comment it would be AWESOME!

Now let’s carry on with the linky:
RULES:
Every 2 weeks I will choose 6 people who have commented A LOT on the linky. Three will be featured and another three will be mentioned in my fortnightly Saturday linky post. This means that 6 people will get a backlink on my new linky post every other Saturday!
1. Be sure to grab the #KCACOLS badge which can be found below or on my sidebar. Simply copy the code from the box below the badge and add it to the text/html at the bottom of your post or place it on your blog sidebar.
2. You can link up to 2 posts. I recommend you to link up one post each week to get the most of the linky.
3. You can share anything that you would like. It is open to absolutely any subject and also you can link up posts that are old or new. You are allowed to link up another linky ONLY if it is a promotional post about the linky and you can do this only once and I expect you to put my badge or a link to my linky and of course to follow the rules regarding commenting.
4. Comment on:
- one of the hosts’ posts (choose one that you would like to comment).
- the guest co-hosts posts.
- the post which is linked up immediately before yours.
- and finally, any other post that you would like to comment on.
That way everybody receives at least two comments (one from the host/guest co-hosts and one from others).
5. This linky will be open every other Saturday from 10 pm and will remain open until the following 2nd Wednesday at 08.00 pm or until we reach 100 link ups, whichever comes first.
6. If you would like us to tweet your post that is absolutely fine, just tweet your link to me @WithFranca, JENNA @Northern_bird84 and MALIN @senlearnuk and we will retweet it. Please remember to use the hashtag #KCACOLS.
7. Finally, if you could please follow A Moment With Franca (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube) that would be fantastic!! 😉
I look forward to reading and commenting on your posts!! 🙂
