Welcome back to #KCACOLS. I hope you are all well! We had 53 link ups! THANK YOU ALL so much for being part of the linky! I really appreciate your support. For new people joining us this week, I really hope you like #KCACOLS and that you come back again next time! You can also find out more about this linky on the #KCACOLS linky page! 🙂
I am not sure about you but I felt that the last couple of weeks has gone by really quick. I am about to travel to Mexico to meet my high school friends next week so I am so glad this trip is finally happening. It’s been more than 20 years since we left school so meeting up in amazing surroundings sounds like a dream come true. I am so looking forward to catching up. I will let you know how it goes.
During the last couple of weeks we have attended some events. I went to a Lego event for the DVD release of their latest movie. The venue was amazing. It is a cafe where you have an afternoon tea surrounded by gorgeous cats. I love cats so you can imagine how happy I was! I had a fantastic time. Bella and I went to another Tiny Pop event in central London at Waterstones for a storytelling and today Bella went with her dad to a Nintendo workshop event for their new Labo kits. They had a great time.
Each link up, I love sharing a couple of photos from my last 2 weeks on Instagram, so here are two of my favourites:

*BOREDOM CHALLENGE* After recently sharing that I would be supporting a Free Play campaign with Petits Filous and @britmums a few weeks ago, I have now done the "Boredom Challenge" with my girls for one week. Giving children the freedom and space to play free is an essential part of their development. That is why allowing them to learn about the world around them, developing essential social skills and fostering their physical and cognitive development is so important. The idea of this “boredom challenge” is to simply step back and let kids work through their boredom and Play Free, making sure they don’t reach for tablets, smartphones or TV as a boredom filler! I learnt a lot after doing this challenge and I had the opportunity to discuss some queries, doubts and concerns with Anita Cleare who is a parenting expert and co-founder of The Positive Parenting Project. I am sharing in my blog post, topics that we discussed such as Problem Solving Skills, How to help our kids to stop fighting, Positive Parenting in the Digital Age as well as some tips and advice I picked up as part of a twitter chat about Free Play. Overall, I really enjoyed being part of this challenge and this campaign. I hope more parents encourage Free Play at home or outdoors and embrace their kids imagination! If you are looking for some tips and advice about Free Play, please have a read of this 2nd blog post (https://www.amomentwithfranca.com/boredom-challenge-petits-filous) or by clicking the link in my bio, 😉 What do you think of the "Boredom Challenge"? Will you try it at home too? Do you let your kids get bored? Do you implement Free Play at home? #PetitsFilousPlayFree #freeplay #letthembebored #Ad

*GETTING FIT & THE POWER OF RECOVERY* It is clearly very difficult to keep focus and start getting fit after an indulgent December and depressing January. Honestly, I always start January saying that I want to start getting fit by exercising more after eating all the yummy food in December. Then, when January starts, the weather is always so miserable, dark and wet that I really don't feel like doing it at all! When February arrives you start thinking that the winter is finally starting to go away and that the next month is March. For some reason your spirits lift because you know Spring is coming meaning that its then Summer and you, of course, want to be fit for that. So this is the exact time that I really want to do something to get back to being fit, exercising more and eating healthier. I am not the biggest exercise person at the moment but I do believe you need to at least try, right? I do enjoy doing certain activities that help me to get fit. I also try to find resources that will keep me fit for free. In this blog post (https://www.amomentwithfranca.com/getting-fit-power-recovery or you can read it by or by clicking the link in my bio), I am sharing some of the things I like doing to get me fit as well as things that help me to recover from it like the importance of having a good sleep due to choosing a good mattress (@tempur_uk). I hope this is helpful for you! 🙂 Are you also planning to get fit this year? What are your plans for achieving that? What would you do to recover from exercise? #ad #powerofrecovery #fitness #wellness #exercise #mattress #goodsleep

Thank you so much for using the #KCACOLS hashtag on Instagram for all your photos. It is lovely to see your photos there! I would love it if more of you could use the hashtag for your photos and of course it would be even better if we all also spread some love there! I am featuring 1 photo from the community that has caught my eye since the last link up. This time I’m featuring NATALIE from Memeandharri. See her photo below:

It’s FRIYAY!!! Even the miserable weather can’t dampen my spirits today. I started the week with some Alfie time and I end the week with some Alfie time - we have no plans yet (I’m actually tempted to hibernate with him 😂). We also have one more week to wait before half term and a little family adventure. Oh and Meme also has her special assembly this afternoon where we can go in and see her showcase her work - she is very excited. Have a great Friday however you are spending it.

NOW BACK TO THE LINKY
We got 53 link ups this time. It is actually lovely to see people joining us for so many years. I know this is not as big as it used to be but it is a lovely community still and I’m so happy to say that all posts got 4 comments or more! I was so happy to see that! Yee! We have not had that for a while!
Also, remember to comment on the co-hosts posts. Please also be aware that I’m BLOCKING URLS/Emails of people that have joined the linky and have not commented on any posts for consecutive weeks. If you find I have blocked you by mistake, please contact me.
The linky will be open for 2 weeks until the second Wednesday at 8 pm or until we reach 100 link ups, whichever comes first.
The co-hosts and I will be allowed to change our posts on the following Saturday after the linky is live. Please be aware of these changes during the second week.
I would suggest that you link up one post each week so you will be able to share something different and current each week. I will also be more strict regarding commenting on the post before yours.
I’m not tweeting individual people once the linky is live but I will tweet the people that have been featured and mentioned. I’ll also post a link to the new linky post on the KCACOLS Facebook Group, pin it on my Twitter account and on my Facebook page together with some generic tweets. I will of course, email all of you the link. If you could also share it by clicking the link below that would be FABULOUS!
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR NEW LINKERS:
PLEASE START by commenting on the post linked up before yours FIRST and then comment on any other posts as much as you would like. Also, use the hashtag #KCACOLS when commenting (this is indeed very important so I can then see how many comments you are doing and then be able to feature you in my linky post which is always great for you as you get a backlink which helps improve your DA).
Thank you so much for all your comments on the host posts and the linky post. As always, I have read and liked all your comments! We will do our best for you to receive a comment from someone on behalf of the linky (either the co-hosts or me).
GUEST CO-HOSTS FROM THE PREVIOUS LINK UP
GUEST CO-HOSTS FOR THIS LINK UP
My first guest co-host this week is BETH from Life As Mum Blog. I’m very excited to have BETH co-hosting with me for the first time. She has been linking with us for a while now but she has not co-hosted the linky with me yet. I have mentioned her and featured her before due to the lovely comments she leaves in this linky. She is really nice and I am so happy she has the time to help me with this link up. Beth has a Fashion, Family and Lifestyle Blog. She is a 25 year-old Welsh Mum of 2 gorgeous kids. Her blog is all about her family life filled with her family adventures, memories as well as some fashion/style, photography and lifestyle posts. Her blog is great so go and check it out. Please give her some love to her social media accounts (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram & Pinterest). She will also be retweeting your tweets this week so please add her twitter handle (@lifeasmumblog) to your tweets as well as mine. Finally, she has a guest co-host post, He Didn’t Leave Me linked up too. Please if you could go there and add a comment it would be AWESOME!!
My second guest co-host this week is TRACEY from One Frazzled Mum. You all know Tracey by now. She has been helping me with the linky for more than a year as my monthly co-host. Things got pretty busy for her so she couldn’t co-host on a monthly basis anymore but of course, once in a while, she is okay to help out. She is part of this linky for so long and I really appreciate all her support. Just for some new linkers that have not stumbled upon her blog, Tracey has a parenting blog and also she loves to write fiction stories. Her dream is to be able to publish a fiction book one day. I am sure she will one day! She is a single mum of a beautiful 11-year-old daughter, Olivia (soon to be 12 years old). She is a really good friend to me. Please give her social media accounts some love (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, & Pinterest). She will also be retweeting your tweets this week so please add her twitter handle (@frazzledmumblog) to your tweets as well as mine. Finally, she has a guest co-host post, The AO.Com Valentine’s Gifting Campaign linked up too. If you could please go there and add a comment it would be AWESOME!

Please do not forget to follow and check out the #KCACOLS Pinterest Board. We have pinned all your posts from last week’s linky so please go and have a look. There are some great posts that deserve a read!
Now let’s carry on with the linky:
Every 2 weeks I will choose 6 people who have commented A LOT on the linky. Three will be featured and another three will be mentioned oinmy fortnightly Saturday linky post. This means that 6 people will get a backlink on my new linky post every other Saturday!
1. Be sure to grab the #KCACOLS badge which can be found below or on my sidebar. Simply copy the code from the box below the badge and add it to the text/html at the bottom of your post or place it on your blog sidebar.
2. You can link up to 2 posts. I recommend you to link up one post each week to get the most of the linky.
3. You can share anything that you would like. It is open to absolutely any subject and also you can link up posts that are old or new. You are allowed to link up another linky ONLY if it is a promotional post about the linky and you can do this only once and I expect you to put my badge or a link to my linky and of course to follow the rules regarding commenting.
4. Comment on:
- one of the hosts’ posts (choose one that you would like to comment).
- the guest co-hosts posts.
- the post which is linked up immediately before yours.
- and finally, any other post that you would like to comment on.
That way everybody receives at least two comments (one from the host/guest co-hosts and one from others).
5. This linky will be open every other Saturday from 10 pm and will remain open until the following 2nd Wednesday at 08.00 pm or until we reach 100 link ups, whichever comes first.
6. If you would like us to tweet your post that is absolutely fine, just tweet your link to me @WithFranca, BETH @lifeasmumblog and TRACEY @frazzledmumblog and we will retweet it. Please remember to use the hashtag #KCACOLS.
I look forward to reading and commenting your posts!! 🙂
