Welcome back to the First #KCACOLS link up of 2020. We had 36 link ups last time! THANK YOU ALL so much for being part of the linky! I really appreciate your support. For new people joining us this week, I really hope you like #KCACOLS and that you come back again next time! You can also find out more about this linky on the #KCACOLS linky page! 🙂
The linky is getting a very high number of posts that will need more comments. I know we are in the middle of the hectic festive season but this linky is all about commenting hence the reward of being featured. I cannot chase people individually because it literally takes a long time. That is why I send the Thank You email so people can check the list and also make sure if they have been mentioned so they can go back to the linky and do their commenting. I hope this is just a temporary issue and things go back to normal in the New Year.
Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic festive season and that you enjoyed the time with your family. I am excited to be back with the linky and start fresh for 2020! I enjoyed having a break. The girls are still on holidays. They are back to school on Wednesday 8th January so just a few more days.
December was a busy month as expected! I decided to take a rest from the blog a little bit which was nice. This year has been an interesting year with a lot of different experiences through the blog as well as personally. I am now ready to close 2019 chapter and so looking forward to starting 2020!
Each linkup, I love sharing a photo from my last 2 weeks on Instagram, so here is my favourite:

✨HAPPY NEW YEAR 2020✨ This is the first year that we are the four of us waiting to receive 2020! 😃 Normally the girls get too tired to get to midnight but we have been playing games, eating dinner, having all the snacks possible to keep us awake and it has worked so far. 🙌🏻 I also had a glass of gin to keep me going 😉 This year has been an interesting year with a lot of different experiences through the blog as well as personally. We had some exciting collaborations and we got to travel to some lovely places. Nick and I escaped to Rhodes for our 11th Wedding anniversary childfree which was my highlight of 2019 ☀️ I also had to experience one of the hardest moments as a parent due to my eldest daughter going through a severe anxiety phase. It has been difficult but at the same time it has taught me how important my family is and that they need me, so I have decided that this new year I will be prioritising and focusing more on them ❤️ I am now ready to close 2019 chapter and so looking forward to starting 2020! 🥳 Thank you so much for following our family journey, for all your likes, shares and comments! Your support means so much for us! 🙏🏻 Wishing you all Peace, Love and Joy for 2020! Have a lovely NYE everyone! 🍾🎉 #newyearsevelondon #familyselfie #familyphotograph #happyfamilytime #happynewyear2020
#KCACOLS ON INSTAGRAM
Thank you so much for using the #KCACOLS hashtag on Instagram for all your photos. It is lovely to see your photos there! We have more than 13.2k photos that have used the hashtag which is lovely! I love when you use the hashtag. After a lot of consideration, I have decided that I will not do a feature on my post any more. But please keep using the hashtag. I always check it and like all the photos there.
KCACOLS CROWD FACEBOOK GROUP
THANK YOU to all of you that have joined the #KCACOLS CROWD Facebook Group. You can join us here. Also if you do join, please send me a direct message with the name of your blog so then I know who you are without having to figure out your blog name 🙂
NOW BACK TO THE LINKY
If you are not already subscribed to be informed of new KCACOLS Linky emails, you can click the button below to subscribe:
We had 36 linkups! On Thursday we had 24 posts that needed more comments which is very high. Today we only reduced this number to 22 which is very disappointing. Again, see what I mentioned above.
Regarding the people that have not commented on the post before theirs, we got 8 people on Thursday. Today, we managed to reduce this number to 4 people which was a better result.
Also, remember to comment on the co-hosts posts. Please also be aware that I’m BLOCKING URLs/Emails of people that have joined the linky and have not commented on any posts for consecutive weeks. If you find I have blocked you by mistake, please contact me.
The linky will be open for 2 weeks until the second Wednesday at 8 pm or until we reach 100 link ups, whichever comes first.
The co-hosts and I will be allowed to change our posts on the following Saturday after the linky is live. Please be aware of these changes during the second week.
I would suggest that you link up one post each week so you will be able to share something different and current each week. I will also be more strict regarding commenting on the post before yours.
I’m not tweeting individual people once the linky is live but I will tweet the people that have been featured and mentioned. I’ll also post a link to the new linky post on the KCACOLS Facebook Group, pin it on my Twitter account and on my Facebook page together with some generic tweets. I will of course, email all of you the link. If you could also share it by clicking the link below that would be FABULOUS!
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR NEW LINKERS:
PLEASE START by commenting on the post linked up before yours FIRST and then comment on any other posts as much as you would like. Also, use the hashtag #KCACOLS when commenting (this is indeed very important so I can then see how many comments you are doing and then be able to feature you in my linky post which is always great for you as you get a backlink which helps improve your DA).
Thank you so much for all your comments on the host posts and the linky post. As always, I have read and liked all your comments! We will do our best for you to receive a comment from someone on behalf of the linky (either the co-hosts or me).
GUEST CO-HOSTS FROM THE PREVIOUS LINK UP
GUEST CO-HOSTS FOR THIS LINK UP
My first guest co-host this week is SARAH from Mummykind. This is the third time that Sarah is co-hosting with us. It is lovely to co-host the linky with her again. Mummykind is a parenting blog that has been created by seven first time mummies, with seven beautiful babies. Sarah is the one that linkup with us on their behalf. They aim to increase awareness and support for mental health generally and specific issues relating to parents so they can point people to other organisations providing help and support. They also work with and promote mental health charities so that they can help more people. Finally, they also share honest, truthful experiences of parenting. Please give them some love on their social media accounts which are (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, & Pinterest). She will also be retweeting your tweets this week so please add her twitter handle (@mummykindoff) to your tweets as well as mine. Finally, she has a guest co-host post, Mental Health Monday: The Aftermath of Christmas with Sensitive Kids linked up too. Please if you could go there and add a comment it would be AWESOME!
My second guest co-host this week is MALIN from Sensational Learning With Penguin. This is the 4th time that Malin is co-hosting with me, so I am super happy to have her back. Since she joined this linky she has been a great supporter of the linky which is lovely. Malin has a parenting blog. Her blog is about Mummy and Penguin which is a place for them to share what they do and why. Penguin has a diagnosis of autism, and they recently opted for home education. She shares their days out, baking, crafts, play dough among other activities. Please give her social media accounts some love (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, & Pinterest). She will also be retweeting your tweets this week so please add her twitter handle (@senlearnuk) to your tweets as well as mine. Finally, she has a guest co-host post, Days Out In The South East: Kingsgate & Botany Bay, Kent linked up too. If you could please go there and add a comment it would be AWESOME!
FEATURED POSTS – TOP 3
The first person who commented a lot was CHRISTY from Welsh Mum. This is fantastic news! It is lovely to see Christy back in the top 3 commenters! It is really nice that she has commented a lot of posts. She has been featured and mentioned before a few times. She has commented on 13 posts! Her post from last week was 9 ways to remember your loved ones over Christmas. Please visit her post and give her more love if you can.
The second person who commented a lot was LYDIA from Pandora and Max. This is the third time in a roll that I am featuring Lydia. It is lovely to have her back here again in the top 3 commenters. She has always been very lovely with her commenting. She has commented on 12 posts! Thank you so much, LYDIA! Her post from last week was Self care. Please go to her post and give her more love if you can.
The third person who commented a lot was FIONA from Coombemill. It is lovely to have Fiona within the 3 top commenters! She has been linking with us for a few years and she has always been amazing. She does so many lovely comments every linkup which is really nice. I love having her as part of kcacols! She has commented on 16 posts! FEATURED POSTS – TOP 6
Behind Christy, Lydia and Fiona were JO from A Rose Tinted World with 11 comments, FIONA from Tired But Crafty Mummy with 10 comments and ENDA from Thirsty Daddy with 9 comments. Thank you so much to all of you! 🙂
Please do not forget to follow and check out the #KCACOLS Pinterest Board. We have pinned all your posts from last week’s linky so please go and have a look. There are some great posts that deserve a read!
Now let’s carry on with the linky:
Every 2 weeks I will choose 6 people who have commented A LOT on the linky. Three will be featured and another three will be mentioned in my fortnightly Saturday linky post. This means that 6 people will get a backlink on my new linky post every other Saturday!
1. Be sure to grab the #KCACOLS badge which can be found below or on my sidebar. Simply copy the code from the box below the badge and add it to the text/html at the bottom of your post or place it on your blog sidebar.
2. You can link up to 2 posts. I recommend you to link up one post each week to get the most of the linky.
3. You can share anything that you would like. It is open to absolutely any subject and also you can link up posts that are old or new. You are allowed to link up another linky ONLY if it is a promotional post about the linky and you can do this only once and I expect you to put my badge or a link to my linky and of course to follow the rules regarding commenting.
4. Comment on:
- one of the hosts’ posts (choose one that you would like to comment).
- the guest co-hosts posts.
- the post which is linked up immediately before yours.
- and finally, any other post that you would like to comment on.
That way everybody receives at least two comments (one from the host/guest co-hosts and one from others).
5. This linky will be open every other Saturday from 10 pm and will remain open until the following 2nd Wednesday at 08.00 pm or until we reach 100 link ups, whichever comes first.
6. If you would like us to tweet your post that is absolutely fine, just tweet your link to me @WithFranca, SARAH @mummykindoff and MALIN @senlearnuk and we will retweet it. Please remember to use the hashtag #KCACOLS.
I look forward to reading and commenting on your posts!! 🙂
