#KCACOLS – 5th March 2017

amomentwithfranca · 4 March 2017 · 6 Comments

Welcome back to #KCACOLS. I hope you all had 2 great weeks. We did AMAZING with 133 link ups! THANK YOU ALL so much for being part of the linky! I really appreciate your support. For new people joining us this week, I really hope you like #KCACOLS and that you come back again next time! You can also find out more about this linky in the #KCACOLS linky page! 🙂

kcacols700x400

The last few weeks have been a little bit crazy! I had Sienna ill with a super high temperature which turned out to be Mouth, Hand & Foot disease. This is the first time that any of my girls have had this so I was a little bit nervous about it. Thankfully she only had a mild case one but every time they have a temp above 39 C I always get very worried. She is better now and this week she was back at nursery which allows me to do some work. Last Sunday, we attended the 20th Anniversary party of the Teletubbies and Sienna was so happy and excited! After being ill it was a really nice occasion to cheer us all up! I also went to a super cool event in central London last Wednesday where I had the chance to have a one to one chat with the co-founder of Homewings, a new concept to get an interior designer on a budget and everything is online. I will be talking about this more soon!

Each link up, I love sharing a couple of photos from my last 2 weeks on Instagram, so here are two of my favourites:

#KCACOLS ON INSTAGRAM

Thank you so much for using the #KCACOLS hashtag on Instagram for all your photos. There are now 4,951 photos! Yay! It is lovely to see all your photos there! I would love it if more of you could use the hashtag for your photos and of course it would be even better if we all also spread some love there! As I mentioned before, I am featuring 2 photos from the community that have caught my eye since the last link up.

This time I’m featuring photos by:

  1.  BETH from Life As Mum

https://www.instagram.com/p/BQ6A-GIDFeV/

AND

      2. BECKY from Mommyandrory

KCACOLS CROWD FACEBOOK GROUP

THANK YOU to all of you that have joined the #KCACOLS CROWD Facebook Group. You can join us here. Also if you do join, please send me a direct message with the name of your blog so then I know who you are without having to figure out your blog name 🙂

NOW BACK TO THE LINKY

I’m so impressed how this linky has been in terms of commenting. I think all the hard work of going through each post and checking if people are commenting on the post before theirs is finally paying off. It is not easy and takes time but I  think it is worth it. I’m glad people know that to be part of this linky it is fundamental that we all comment and spread all the love as much as we can.

By Thursday this week, we had about 44 posts that needed more comments and by Friday night this number was reduced to 11. We had about 18 people that hadn’t commented on the post linked up before theirs on Thursday but this was reduced to 10 by Friday night. Today, I reminded people about commenting again and that number has been reduced a lot! I would like to say that we managed to get all posts with 4 comments but I think there are a few posts that have pending comments but so far it has been a great link up!

DON’T FORGET ABOUT THE NEW CHANGES TO THE LINKY

The linky is a fortnightly linky. It will be open for 2 weeks until the second Wednesday at 8 pm or until we reach 150 link ups, whichever comes first.

The rules will be the same, the only difference is the amount of time that the linky will be open for. The co-hosts and I will be allowed to change our posts on the following Saturday after the linky is live. Please be aware of these changes during the second week.

I would suggest that you link up one post each week so you will be able to share something different and current each week. I will also be more strict regarding commenting on the post before yours.

LINKY TWEETS

I’m not tweeting individual people once the linky is live but I will tweet the people that have been featured and mentioned. I’ll also post a link to the new linky post on the Facebook Group, pin it on my Twitter account and on my Facebook page together with some generic tweets. And of course, I will email all of you the link. If you could also share it by clicking the link below that would be FABULOUS!

Tweet Me!

PLEASE REMEMBER

  • I am not pushing for the 4 comments per post anymore. I will keep showing a list of posts that have fewer comments on my Thank You email to encourage people to comment more on those but after that, I will not keep asking. It will be lovely if we can get a minimum of 2 comments per post but of course, we should be aiming for more.
  • To approve your comments and check your SPAM folders (this is such a HUGE problem for me as it keeps being part of why I can’t have a current list as I know for sure lots of posts have comments that have not been approved yet)
  • I’m expecting a minimum of 5 comments per person (1 host, 3 co-hosts and the post before yours) and if you link up 2 posts I would expect 6 comments as a minimum per person (1 host, 3 co-hosts, the posts before yours and 1 more )
  • To comment on the post before yours. If you have any problems commenting on the post before yours please just send me a message and I will do my best to help.
  • If you receive a lot of comments, try to reciprocate to the ones that have taken the time to comment on your post. It is all about being generous with each other and spreading lots of love.
  • Do not link up and run.
  • Do not forget to add the linky badge.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR NEW LINKERS:

PLEASE START with commenting on the post linked up before yours FIRST and then comment on any other posts as much as you would like. Also, use the hashtag #KCACOLS when commenting (this is indeed very important so I can then see how many comments you are doing and then be able to feature you in my linky post which is always great for you as you get a backlink which helps improve your DA).

Thank you so much for all your comments on the host posts and the linky post. As always, I have read and liked all your comments! We will do our best for you to receive a comment from someone on behalf of the linky (either the co-hosts or me).

MONTHLY GUEST CO-HOST

This week the “monthly” guest co-host is TRACEY from One Frazzled Mum. Here are her social media accounts (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, & Pinterest). My second guest co-host this week is ZOE from The Tale Of Mummyhood. I’m very happy to have Zoe as my co-host for the first time. She has been linking with us for a long time so it is great that she is free to help me this time! She has a lovely blog and I love her Instagram photos!

FEATURED POSTS – TOP 3

FeaturedPost_MakingHerMama

The person who commented the most this last link up was NADINE from Making Her Mama. I’m so happy to see Nadine at the top for the first time! She was one of the 3 top commenters for the last linkup so now she is officially our number 1 commenter! Yay! She has shared so much love, it is fantastic! She commented on 127 posts! Thank you so much, NADINE!

FeaturedPost_WingingIt

The second person who commented a lot was BREAD from Winging It. So, she did it again! Yay! I love seeing Bread within the top 3! How nice is it that she always takes the time to comment so much!  She is amazing! She has commented on 67 posts! Thank you so much, BREAD! One of her posts from last week was Six Months Old. Please visit her post and give her more love if you can.

FeaturedPost_ThisGloriousLife

The third person who commented a lot was MADELINE from This Glorious Life. It is always very exciting to see Madeline back in the top commenters. She has been featured and mentioned lots of times which tell you how amazing she is.  She commented on 51 posts! Thank you so much, MADELINE! One of her posts from last week was, 5 Things to do every day to let your children know you love them. Please go to her post and give her more love if you can.

FEATURED POSTS – TOP 6

Behind Nadine, Bread, and Madeline were CASSIE from Gorgeous George Mama with 42 comments, KRISTIN from Four Princesses and the Cheese with 39 comments and then I have a tide with 29 comments by HELEN from Talking Mums and ZOE from Meticulous Travel. Thank you so much, lovely ladies!!! 🙂

For this week’s linky I am linking up Our Amazing Time at The Ellerby Country Inn in Yorkshire and Mifold Booster Seat Review – Small but Safe? so I hope you like them! 😉

Please do not forget to follow and check out the #KCACOLS Pinterest Board. We have pinned all your posts from last week’s linky so please go and have a look. There are some great posts that deserve a read!

[do_widget id=”text-21″ title=false]

Now let’s carry on with the linky:

NEW RULES:

Every 2 weeks I will choose 6 people who have commented A LOT within the linky. Three will be featured and another three will be mentioned on my fortnightly Saturday linky post. This means that 6 people will get a backlink on my new linky post every other Saturday!

1. Be sure to grab the #KCACOLS badge which can be found below or on my sidebar. Simply copy the code from the box below the badge and add it to the text/html at the bottom of your post or place it on your blog sidebar.

2. You can link up to 2 posts. I recommend you to link up one post each week to get the most of the linky.

3. You can share anything that you would like. It is open to absolutely any subject and also you can link up posts that are old or new. You are allowed to link up another linky ONLY if it is a promotional post about the linky and you can do this only once and I expect you to put my badge or a link to my linky and of course to follow the rules regarding commenting.

4. Comment on:

  • one of the hosts’ posts (choose one that you would like to comment).
  • the monthly guest co-host post.
  • the guest co-hosts posts.
  • the post which is linked up immediately before yours.
  • and finally, any other post that you would like to comment on.

That way everybody receives at least two comments (one from the host/guest co-hosts and one from others).

5. This linky will be open every other Saturday from 10 pm and will remain open until the following 2nd Wednesday at 08.00 pm or until we reach 150 link ups, whichever comes first.

6. If you would like us to tweet your post that is absolutely fine, just tweet your link to me @WithFranca, Tracey @frazzledmumblog, Cecile @FrenchieMummy and Zoe @taleofmummyhood and we will retweet it. Please remember to use the hashtag #KCACOLS.

7. Finally, if you could please follow A Moment With Franca (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest , Bloglovin, Google+ and YouTube) that would be fantastic!! 😉

I look forward to reading and commenting your posts!! 🙂

so Pleased Sienna is feeling better now – Arthur had HFM disease last year and he was the most poorly ive ever known him! His got pretty bad though as the sores turned into impetigo because of the bacteria from his snotty nose and then he ended up with scarlet fever towards the end. One thing to look out for that I didn’t know could happen with HFM is that about a month or so later when he was better and when his fingernails and toenails started growing they started to peel and all fall off! Apparently this is a side effect of some strains of HFM. Hopefully Sienna wont get this, but just in case it happens don’t be alarmed, they dont seem to hurt and they do grow back x

Oh I didn’t know that! So sorry Arthur had to go through all of that! Sienna got a mild one as she didn’t get many ulcers. So despite being unhappy and uncomfortable she was lucky I guess! Thanks for letting me know. I’ll keep an eye just in case! Xx

✨Happy Friday✨.Did you have a good week? Unf ✨Happy Friday✨.Did you have a good week? Unfortunately, it wasn’t that good for us because the girls have been under the weather. Bella started first with a sore throat and high fever for a few days and then when Bella got better, Sienna started! She got a horrible cough but no temperature. Her cough was that bad that she couldn’t sleep very well for a couple of nights. They are both much better now and back to school.. The weather hasn’t helped either. It has been so cold lately! I literally feel frozen all the time. Thankfully it is looking better atm as the temperatures are starting to rise. I decided to get my flu vaccine, so I hope it protects me from all these viruses that are going around! Have you had the flu vaccine too? .On another note, I went yesterday to a parents meeting about GCSE options for Bella. I can’t believe she needs to think about it already ahead of Year 9. The time really goes fast. Are your kids dealing with GCSEs too?.📸 Sharing this beautiful bouquet of flowers from @freddiesflowers to brighten up our day.#flowerarrangement #flowerdelivery #bouquetofflowers #flowersmakemehappy #loveflowers #flowersoftheday #flowersoftheweek #flowerlover #freshflowers #flowerobsession #bunchofflowers #foreverflowers #flowersofinstagram #homesweethome
