Furby Connect Review. One of the things that we love the most at home is reviewing cool toys. Since we are part of the Hasbro Toy Tribe, we get to do that even more. This time has been the best opportunity ever. Yes, we were sent the coolest and funniest toy EVER. I’m talking about Furby! We all love him so much. He is a fun and cuddly toy to have at home! 🙂
Please see below our video:
Furby has returned as Furby Connect. He was a big thing in the late 90’s when he first appeared in toy stores. I never had one when it was out the first time because I was too old for it and then when the Furby Boom was launched a few years ago I didn’t have any children ready for it as Bella was still too little. This time, however, was the perfect moment for us! Finally yay! LOL!
This Furby looks and is, AMAZING. It is indeed, as I mentioned before, the coolest toy ever. For all of you that don’t know what Furby Connect is, it is a new, Bluetooth-enabled version of our furry friend that also has colourful and emotive LED eyes, large moving ears, super soft fur and can also talk, sing, hatch eggs, poop surprises, eat from you and watch videos with you! How fantastic is that? 😉
When the parcel arrived, I don’t know who was more excited: the girls or us parents? I mean US as literally Nick and I were very excited and curious to open to discover all its features, LOL! Even though Sienna that is just 2 years old and seems too little for this toy, she absolutely loves it. She was mesmerised by it – bless her!
When you open the box, you will find 1 Furby Connect, a sleep mask, and instructions. It is easy to unbox but bare in mind that you will need to unscrew his base from the cardboard. Also, it is important that you know that it will need 4 AA batteries – so be prepared as you don’t want disappointed children!
As soon as we put the batteries in, his eyes opened and he immediately started talking, singing and giggling. It was such a fun thing to see. We were all very amused by our cute Furby. We fed and tickled him. His reactions were very funny! We also downloaded the Furby Connect World App so to interact even more with our Furby.
Furby is aware of his surroundings and interacts accordingly. It comes with an internal year-round clock. Furby now knows if it’s Christmas Day, Easter or Valentine’s Day. Cool right? As I mentioned before, it also comes with an app (Furby Connect World app) so the interaction is even better, giving you double the fun!
Furby Connect also has a light-up antenna that glows when there’s something new to discover in the app. This could be new music or videos, for example. So, the videos will change and Furby will learn new songs. Also, the videos are child appropriate which is a plus. He also knows what time is it so he can ask for breakfast or lunch.Watching music and videos is something that Bella likes doing most on her tablet. So this is something that she has enjoyed the most with Furby.
The Furby Connect has lots to say, even when Furby speaks in his own Furbish language, LOL! The LCD eyes have more than 150 animations to help express what Furby wants or is feeling. You can interact with a Furby Connect by petting, tickling, or shake him, turning Furby upside down, or even moving its antenna like a joystick. You can see then how Furby reacts.
Our Furby is pink, although it is available in other colours such as blue or purple and he is a boy. My girls love pink so they love him even more. When you follow the instructions from the app, you are being asked what name and gender you would like your Furby to be and my girls chose a boy. So yes, we have a pink boy Furby and we all think he is awesome! It is very easy to connect to your phone or tablet via Bluetooth.
As we never got a Furby before, it is difficult to compare but after doing some research I found out that the previous Furbies used to be awake all the time and that it was difficult to shut them up! LOL It actually sounded funny when I read that back. Anyway, our new Furby  is much clever because it comes with a sleeping mask. This is for sure a super great idea as now we only need to put the mask when it is bedtime or we think it is time for Furby to have a rest and he will go to sleep. It will not work anymore until you decide to wake him up removing his mask. Isn’t it great?
For us, one of the things that stood out a lot was the eyes which have a great way of interacting with you. When he is hungry and you put your finger in his mouth, you can see the food floating across his eyes which were really funny. He will also show musical notes when he’s singing.
Furby’s mood changes, from happy to sad, too scared, too excited. Each Furby has 150 expressive animations which he shows using his big LCD eyes, wiggling ears and light-up antenna. Apparently, each Furby is different and acts and reacts differently to how you treat them.
It was great to find out that you can still use the Furby Connect Worlds app even if you are not using your Furby at the same time. When using the app, you will be able to collect Furblings which will help you collect things such as medicine for example.
One of the fun features is that Furby will ask you to use the toilet. This is indeed super funny. You will need to hold it over the toilet. Once finished you will be asked to flush the toilet so then you can go back to the game. My girls found this hilarious! LOL
Furby Connect is aimed at children aged 6 years and up and has an RRP of £99.99. You can find a lower price at Toys R Us, Argos or Amazon. We really like our little fluffy Furby. He is really cute and all the features are so much fun for my girls. For me, his eyes are the highlight. Bella loves that he is super soft.
Have your heard of Furby before? Do you have one at home? What do you think of this new version? What do you think about our Furby Connect review? Is the sleep mask a good feature? Please leave a comment below as I would love to read what you think.Â
*Disclosure: we received this toy as part of our Hasbro Toy Tribe role. However, all the thoughts and opinions are my own.Â
Thanks for stopping by,
Love you all ❤️

This looks incredible! We had one in the 90’s that we loved although it went a bit crazy and we couldn’t turn it off so had to shut it in the garage #KCAKOLS

Ahh I am partly jealous and partly relieved that we didn’t get one. I remember them the first time around and I’m not sure I could cope with a furby! My kids would love it but these interactive toys creep me out a little bit, or maybe just the furbies…I don’t know. Or maybe I’m just jealous..! haha! #kcacols

He is super cute! I can imagine my boys would love this too! My sister used to have one and it did used to talk and sing at random times so the snooze mask sounds like a great idea! #KCACOLS

If I’m honest these things creep me out a little bit – is it just me that can see a resemblance to Gizmo from The Gremlins?! I’m positive my daughter would love one though! #KCACOLS

Wow, look how far it’s come, you can even choose the gender and name, luv it, great that any child can interact with it and it will talk back, plus the fact it knows whether it is Easter or Christmas.

This sounds like fun! I never had a furby (too old when they came out possibly), but bet my kids would love them. #KCACOLS

Wow, these HAVE changed. I used to have one of the mid-90s Furby’s (or Furbies? Either way, my auto-correct does not like that word), I might actually still have the old one around here somewhere. Very clever little toy, though a little disappointing that it doesn’t come with an internal, rechargeable battery. You’d think a toy so advanced would be rechargeable. Still, great post. Thanks for sharing #KCACOLS

My sister had a furby when we were younger, and it seems so basic now compared to these new fancy, interactive ones! I think my two would really love this, it seems so real! x #KCACOLS

Finally found a moment to sit and read some posts and I’ve been looking forward to this one – mainly because it reminds me of my childhood when furbies came out the first time around! My younger sister had one and I used to spend hours trying to get it to say my name!! (It never worked). I’d love to get one of these for my sister for old times sake – she’s 27 now but she would totally love it, she’s a big kid at heart….not sure I could afford it though!!! #kcacols
