The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature Screening

amomentwithfranca · 2 September 2017 · 16 Comments

We were invited to a special screening of The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature at the Warner Bros headquarters in London! Unfortunately, I was unable to go so instead the girls went with Daddy. The girls didn’t want to miss this event so of course, they were very happy for him to take them!

On the day of the screening, the girls were all dressed up super cute! Sienna decided she wanted to wear her tutu skirt and Bella also chose a cute pink skirt!

We have not been to the Warner Bros headquarters before so they were excited to be there. I am a little bit upset that I missed this opportunity but fingers crossed we will be invited again so I can see it myself. 😉

FUN IN THE FOYER

Food

The building was impressive and as soon as they went inside, there was plenty of ‘fun in the foyer’ to enjoy! There was a beautiful archway of balloons. There was a variety of breakfast options with drinks and pastries which the girls really enjoyed ! They were very excited to eat all the delicious treats! They had very cute acorn shaped shortbread biscuits, fruits, juices, and pastries. Very yummy!

Face Painting

The first activity they did was face painting! This is always a hit with my girls. They love it and they always choose to do it first! They both had their cheeks painted with the cute pug from The Nut Job 2 movie, called Precious. They look so cute!

Balloon Making

After that, a balloon artist made some of the main characters of the movie for them. They got Surly, Andie and Precious characters in balloon form. So clever!

Crafting

Next they decided to spend some time in the craft area. They had different masks to colour and build. They showed me theirs When they arrived home they showed me what they had made feeling very proud of what they had made! Bless them!

Photo Taken

Then they took some photos with the Nut Job 2 movie logo in the background. I love these types of photos because it feels like a proper red carpet event.

MOVIE TIME

After all these activities it was time to watch the movie. Inside the screening theatre, each seat had some healthy snacks to eat during the movie. There was some popcorn, a smoothie and chickpea crisps. This was something that I have never seen or tried before. I got to have a taste as they brought some back home. It was actually very tasty.

In the Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature Synopsis

Surly the squirrel and his animal friends find out that the corrupt mayor of Oakton plans to bulldoze their beloved Liberty Park to make way for an amusement park. Hoping to save the place they call home, Surly, Andie, Buddy and the rest of the gang join forces with Mr. Feng, a seemingly cute and innocent mouse who happens to be a fierce master of kung fu.

The Nut Job 2 features the voice of Will Arnett (Surly Squirrel), Katherine Heigl (Andie), Jackie Chan (Mr Feng), Maya Rudolph (Precious) among other talented actors.

GOODY BAG

And of course they each got a cool film merchandise goody bag with lots of products from the movie including a  t-shirt, drawstring bag, yo-yo, bat and ball, frisbee and DVD of the first movie.

NICK’S & THE GIRLS THOUGHTS

They have seen The Nut Job already and they liked it so they knew this one should be good. They were not wrong, as apparently they loved it and enjoyed the whole film. Even Sienna watched the entire film without interruptions. Nick thought it was funny and he mentioned that having Jackie Chan as Mr Fen was a great idea!

My girls had a great time and enjoyed this event a lot. They came back home with big smiles on their faces and that for me says it all! The movie is out now and we can highly recommend you to watch it if you have not seen it yet! I am sure your kids will love it as much as my girls did!

Have you seen The Nut Job 2 already? If so, what part did you enjoyed the most? Do you think they will do a part 3?

*Disclosure: we were invited to this special screening for the purpose of this review. However, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Thanks for stopping by,

Love you all ❤️

Franca  💋

✨My Girls✨.Due to the strikes we had Sienna ✨My Girls✨.Due to the strikes we had Sienna at home yesterday and today, and Bella only today. I thought it would be very chaotic but despite it always being louder when the girls are at home, especially my youngest one, lol, we did well..Bella did school work at home today and had the afternoon free. Sienna didn’t do school work. We only asked her to carry on doing Spanish and Maths via Duolingo. She also had Spanish lessons this afternoon (every Thursday she has lessons) so both days were manageable thankfully 😍.How was it for you? Did your kids stay at home or did they go to school? .PS: let’s hope things get better for teachers. ✨Happy Weekend✨.How is your weekend going so ✨Happy Weekend✨.How is your weekend going so far? I am finally feeling more normal after the massive jetlag I had after my trip to South America. ✨Peruvian Suspiro Limeño✨."Suspiro Limeño" ✨Peruvian Suspiro Limeño✨."Suspiro Limeño" is one of my favourite Peruvian desserts. When I was In Peru, I of course, made sure to have it not only once but several times 😉.This dessert is made of manjar blanco (milk, sugar, almond flour, egg yolks, vanilla) and meringue (egg whites, port, cinnamon) 😘.The history behind this dessert starts with Amparo Ayarza who was the creator. Her husband, José Gálvez Barrenechea was a poet and was the one who gave it its name. The poet called it "Suspiro de Limeña", which means, 'Sigh of a Lima lady', because it is soft and sweet like the sigh of a woman. Love this 🥰.Have you ever tried "Suspiro Limeño"? Or have you heard of it before? Would you try it? .📸 Picture taken @panchitasazoncriolla in Lima that has one of the best versions of this dessert 🙌🏻.#suspirolimeño #peruviandessert #meringue #merengue #desserttime #dessertlover #dessertpic #dessertgram #peruvianfood #cocinaperuana #gastronomiaperuana #perufood #peruviancousine #whatisfordessert #dessertsofinstagram
