Nutmeg At Morrisons AW17 Range

amomentwithfranca · 18 September 2017 · 41 Comments

I was invited by Nutmeg at Morrisons to be part of a virtual Google Hangout to learn more about the new Nutmeg AW17 collection. Mel Davies, Nutmeg’s Design Manager was going to share an exclusive insight into the Nutmeg AW17 kids and women’s collection to a group of lovely mummy bloggers.  To be honest with you, I have not bought clothes from them before so I was all the more intrigued and excited about seeing their new range.

Prior to the hangout, they kindly sent us a selection of goodies and samples. I didn’t know what to expect from the samples and certainly didn’t expect to receive what they sent!

I guess you might be wondering now what it was! They sent 2 beautiful white boxes with big blue bows on them and a blue star shaped balloon that had the name of my blog “A Moment With Franca“on one side and then “Nutmeg AW17“on the other side. It was all super cute. I’m not going to lie, I was super impressed!

One box said “Open Me” and the other one said “Please Keep Me Closed”. Of course, I immediately opened the box that I was allowed to open. Inside, there was a lovely mug, a box of Green tea bags & Mint tea bags as well as some delicious chocolate cookies – Yum! They were so thoughtful with this parcel!

During the hangout, we were allowed to open the second box which had a beautiful selection of samples inside for me and the girls. They sent one outfit for each of my girls and a denim shirt and a suede biker jacket for me! I felt incredibly spoilt!

The hangout was fun. I have never done something like this before and I really loved learning more about the latest Nutmeg collection. I am surprisingly impressed by it. The range has been well thought out with some lovely pieces and colours. The price range is really good too which I think is very important.

Some interesting details that I thought you would like to know:

  • Adjustable waist – they have room for growth
  • Big zips – now the kids can do up themselves.
  • No neck labels – this means now they are itch free which helps prevent little irritations.
  • Super soft – they offer all day comfort. All their jackets, tops and t-shirts are made from super soft fabrics meaning they’re easy to wear and snuggly on the skin.

TRYING OUR LOVELY SAMPLES

We received a fantastic selection of clothes from their new collection to try at home. The girls and I were so happy with the samples chosen for us! They were all spot on!

Bella’s Outfit

This black and white check skirt for Bella comes with black tights and was lovely. This is a set for £12.00. Together with a pail pink velvet top for £9.00.

This outfit is very cute! Bella really likes the skirt. She thought it was very cool! She also loves the top and couldn’t stop touching it! She said it feels really nice and soft. The top has a little button at the back of the neck. It is a nice detail.

Sienna’s Outfit

Sienna received a cute Autumn themed floral dress! It has leaves printed all over it with a brown background. The sleeves are long and it is super soft to touch! The dress costs £10.

We also received a mustard coloured cardigan for Sienna. It costs £7.00. I really love how it looks combined with the dress! It is fab! I think Sienna looks adorable! Don’t you think?

Nutmeg’s childrenswear is created with ‘thoughtful details’ in mind to ensure durability and comfort and also comes with a 200-day ‘no quibbles’ guarantee, assuring parents of the quality of Nutmeg’s clothing.

My Outfit

Jacket

As I mentioned earlier I received an amazing grey biker jacket. You won’t believe how soft and comfy this jacket is! I was worried it wouldn’t fit me but as soon as I tried it, I fell in love with it! It has 2 pockets at the front and one small zip which is just for decoration.

It’s a colour I wouldn’t have thought of choosing but after wearing this jacket for the last couple of weeks, I must say that I love the colour a lot. It is perfect for the Autumn weather. I feel very warm! I am so happy with it!

This fantastic and fashionable jacket costs £35.00! Can you believe it? I was like what? I thought it was super affordable for a jacket like this! What do you think?

Denim Shirt

I’ve been meaning to get a denim shirt for a while. When I saw they sent me one, I couldn’t believe my luck! I was so excited! What I like even more is that it wasn’t just a plain denim shirt, it has a beautiful embroidered floral print in pink and green.

OUR THOUGHTS

I am super impressed with our samples. All the clothes are gorgeous. My girls look adorable in them. I love my jacket. It is divine! My denim shirt is a dream too! I have worn both several times now and I have felt really good in them!

Nutmeg has a presence in all Morrisons stores. Their Women’s Collection is now available across 70 Morrisons stores. It’s just a shame that they don’t have an online store! I would love to be able to buy online which is more practical for me because I don’t live that near to a Morrisons store. It is a little bit of a drive so for convenience I would have loved to use an online store. Maybe after reading this post, they will have that in mind! Fingers crossed! 😉

You can find more about the Nutmeg AW17 range on Twitter and Facebook. They have a fabulous collection so go and check them out! 🙂

Have you bought at Nutmeg before? What do you think of this new collection? What do you like the most?

*Disclosure: we received these samples for the purpose of this blog post. However, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Thanks for stopping by,

Love you all ❤️

Franca  💋

I have only recently discovered Nutmeg and find the quality and styling very good although my local Morrisons is too small to stock a large range. The pics above are fabulous and the new collection is very appealing.

I didn’t even know Morrisons had its own clothing range. Adjustable waist bands are a great idea as are non-scratchy labels. So much woe from such a small thing.

When my son was younger I got a few things from Nutmeg but it’s not a supermarket I visit regularly. I didn’t realise they did adult clothes now too and love that grey jacket! I think, with baby girl Roversi on the way, a trip to a nearby Morrison’s is definitely in order. #KCACOLS

I have been trying to keep eating a good breakfast every morning to help me with my low iron! .Most days I have branflakes and sometimes weetabix but Fridays to Sundays, I make a little effort and prepare overnight oats. I love them! They are so tasty and leave me satisfy for hours which means not craving for snacks until lunch time! ✨Happy Friday✨.Did you have a good week? Unf ✨Happy Friday✨.Did you have a good week? Unfortunately, it wasn’t that good for us because the girls have been under the weather. Bella started first with a sore throat and high fever for a few days and then when Bella got better, Sienna started! She got a horrible cough but no temperature. Her cough was that bad that she couldn’t sleep very well for a couple of nights. They are both much better now and back to school.. The weather hasn’t helped either. It has been so cold lately! I literally feel frozen all the time. Thankfully it is looking better atm as the temperatures are starting to rise. I decided to get my flu vaccine, so I hope it protects me from all these viruses that are going around! Have you had the flu vaccine too? .On another note, I went yesterday to a parents meeting about GCSE options for Bella. I can’t believe she needs to think about it already ahead of Year 9.
