Peppa Pig Summer Bundle

amomentwithfranca · 30 August 2016 · Leave a Comment

I was so excited when I found out that we were going to receive a Peppa Pig Summer Bundle to enjoy during the summer holidays. You may have seen the nice, bright cute badge that we have on our sidebar which means that we were chosen to be Peppa Pig Summer Bloggers! My youngest daughter is obsessed with Peppa Pig. She watches episodes all the time and pretty much has a routine of watching a couple of episodes before she goes to bed. Peppa has become her bedtime story every night and it works wonders as she falls asleep straight away in a peaceful way, so it is great for me of course, LOL!

Peppa Pig Summer Bundle

If you follow me on social media you have probably seen some of my photos about this summer bundle. I have shared photos of a few of the products already and will be sharing more this week.

When we received the bundle we were all surprised to see that it contained so many great products! It was amazing just to see my youngest’s face so full of happiness – it was just priceless. Her eyes and mouth were wide open as she was so amazed at it. Even my eldest daughter who is now 6 was super excited about the bundle. This tells you that Peppa Pig is popular across a wide age group.

We received lots of products to review such as a Peppa Pig Campervan Shape Sorter, Peppa Goes Around the World Books, Peppa Single Nautical Duvet Set, Peppa Party Race Games, Remote Control Inflatable Peppa, Peppa Reversible Travel Pillow and Inflatable Muddy puddle.

You can see below some of the products we received:

1. Peppa Campervan Shape Sorter – RRP £15, from Milly & Flynn

This wooden campervan has four shaped holes and eight coloured wooden blocks. It is a a fun way to encourage hand-eye coordination, shape and colour recognition.

Sienna loves this shape sorter. She has been playing with it during the whole summer. It is a perfect toy to keep them entertained for a while. I thought that she would perhaps play with it just a couple of times but my goodness, she played with it a lot! I’m now giving her this toy to play with every time she seems bored or fed up with the same toys. She still gets very excited about it! It is very cute to watch.

I love the colour. The bright yellow is great and the design is very cute. It looks very well made. I was very impressed with this toy. We love wooden toys so this was a pleasant surprise to have. Sienna is now very good at it and knows exactly where the blocks go and how to get them back out of the campervan so she can play again and again!

2.  Peppa Goes Around the World Books – RRP £6.99, from Penguin

Peppa Goes Around the World Books collage 1

This is a lovely book. Given my daughters really are Peppa Pig fans, we of course have lots of Peppa Pig books, so having another book to add to our growing collection was great. This book of course is now on our main bookshelf with all the summer books but I can see it staying there as a favourite throughout the year!

Sienna happy with her Peppa Pig book

In this story, Peppa visits friends located across the globe in her very own aeroplane. With journeys to the South Pole, snowy mountain tops, the jungle and the desert, this is a colourful and action-packed Peppa adventure.

The book has really lovely illustrations. They are very big and bright so it definitely caught Sienna’s attention. She was very interested to see all the illustrations and also she was very keen to be read the book. Now that Bella can read, it was nice to see how she tried to read the book to Sienna. It was a cute moment.

At the moment this book is always around and it is indeed one of her favourites!

3. Peppa Single Nautical Duvet Set – RRP £24.99

Duvet showed on girls room
OMG this duvet is so cute! I never thought I would put a Peppa Pig duvet in the girls bedroom as I would normally go for something more classic instead of having a kids TV character set, but when I changed the duvet and had the bed done I was very happy with how it looked!

Sienna already saw the package but I don’t think she understood very well what it was. When she saw the photo on the packaging she immediately said “Peppa Pig” with a big smile so I had great hopes that she would like it in her bedroom too.

Sienna happy with her new Peppa Pig duvet set

As soon as it was ready I called her and when she saw it she was over the moon. She really loved it! She was all over the bed pointing at Peppa, smiling and even talking to her. It was hilarious! Then when Bella saw it, she also thought it looked great so I was very pleased to have two happy, smiling daughters! 😉

This duvet cover is really cool and it is also reversible which is always very practical. The front of the duvet cover features Peppa and George sailing on a pretty blue and white polka dot background, whilst the polka dot pattern is continued on the reverse. This item is made from a polycotton blend and can be machine washed and tumble dried on a cool setting.

4. Peppa Party Time Race Games – RRP £9.99, from Jumbo

All ready to play the game

We finally managed to play this game during the bankholiday weekend. We got daddy involved too so the girls were very excited about it. The game is recommended for children aged 4 and above, and suitable for 2 – 4 players. Therefore, this game is not appropriate for children under the age of 3. We knew then that it was going to be difficult to play with Sienna but we wanted to get her involved so we did all play but she was under my supervision.

Peppa Party Time Race Games collage 2

Sienna was very interested at the beginning but as expected she lost interest half way through. On the other hand, we had Bella that was completely involved during the whole game and it was really fun to be able to play it with her. The only  thing was that she really really wanted to win and nobody else would dare to not let her, LOL!

Peppa Party Time Race Games Invitation Card collaged

The game is about Suzy Sheep’s Birthday and Peppa Pig and her family are on their way to join the party. But who will be the first to arrive to the party? You can only join the party if you have the Invitation Card. All through the game we were clapping and getting excited every time someone got the invitation and of course trying not to lose it, LOL!

Peppa Party Time Race Games Hazards collage

To start the game, players need to roll the dice and move around the game board, trying to avoid the ‘hazard’ spaces that will delay your journey as you may have to miss a turn, slide down going back a few spots. You can land on a number of different picture squares – the Invitation Card, the Duck, Mr Dinosaur,  a Tyre, a Petrol Pump, a Mobile Phone or an upside down Map. All of them meant something and you will need to follow the instructions from their manual. These hazards are what make the game more interesting and fun!

Playing the Peppa Pig board game

The game board measures 52 x 34cm (approximately) and has been produced using a high-quality material to ensure that the board and pieces maintain, for playing time and time again. Playing board games are a great way to help children develop their number and shape recognition, counting and hand-eye coordination from a young age while having fun.

This board game contains: 1 x Game Board, 4 x Peppa Pig Playing Pieces with Plastic Base, 1 x Invitation Card, 1 x Dice, 1 x Rules of the Game

Peppa Party Time Race Games collage 3

We really had a great time. The best part was to spend some time together even though Sienna didn’t have a clue of what was going on, or that Bella just wanted to win win win, or that daddy was wondering why he didn’t get the invitation card at the end or me just thinking how can I be just almost winning but then sent back miles away from the finish line! All of this is part of the spirit of playing a game with your family.

At the end guess who won? Yes, you are absolutely right, our lovely Bella was the winner of this lovely board game! She was so thrilled about it! This morning Bella was asking me if she could play the game on her own, so I said yes and she, of course, was delighted as she played as all 4 players and so was the winner for a second time, haha!

What do you think of this bundle? Do you like the products that I have mentioned here? Which product is your favourite? Are your kids also Peppa Pig fans? Which one will you buy for your kids? Please leave a comment below as I would love to hear what you think.

*Disclosure: I received this amazing Peppa Pig Summer bundle to try at home and to write a review about. All opinions and thoughts are my own. Please note that there might be some affiliate links.

Thanks for stopping by,

Love you all ❤️

✨ Cat Cafe In London✨.📍Bella and I went t ✨ Cat Cafe In London✨.📍Bella and I went to @javawhiskersuk , a cat cafe located in @westfieldlondon . This was my present for Mother’s Day from her🌸.🌟 Before we went inside, we had to go to a separate room to wash our hands and remove our shoes..🐾 They have 2 different rooms: the Cat Lounge and the Kitten Lounge and you can choose to stay from 55 mins to 1hr 55 mins. The prices vary depending on the room you choose and the length of time..🍰 When we stepped inside the room we were greeted by a group of gorgeous kittens. We ordered (before we went inside the room) a latte and a delicious chocolate muffin with chocolate melted inside that was so good. This was served to us in the room while we were surrounded by these adorable kittens..🐱 We spent 55 mins playing and petting the kittens. They were so cute. We loved interacting with them..🥰 Their cafe is also a foster home for homeless cats so if you are looking to adopt one, this is the place to visit! They have had 230 successful adoptions already! 🙌🏻.🚨 The only downside is that you have to be over 10 years old in order to be allowed inside the rooms 😬.🐈 If you are a cat lover like us, I highly recommend you visit Java Whiskers! It is the perfect place to unwind and relax with these beautiful kittens! 🙌🏻.Have you visited a Cat Cafe before? 🐈‍⬛ .#javawhiskers #catcafe #catcafelondon #londoncafe #westfieldlondon #londondayout #daysout #thingstodoinlondon #newplaces #londonguide #lovecats😻 #catsofinstagram #catloversday #londonthingstodo #whatsonlondon

✨My Girls✨.Due to the strikes we had Sienna ✨My Girls✨.Due to the strikes we had Sienna at home yesterday and today, and Bella only today. I thought it would be very chaotic but despite it always being louder when the girls are at home, especially my youngest one, lol, we did well..Bella did school work at home today and had the afternoon free. Sienna didn’t do school work. We only asked her to carry on doing Spanish and Maths via Duolingo. She also had Spanish lessons this afternoon (every Thursday she has lessons) so both days were manageable thankfully 😍.How was it for you? Did your kids stay at home or did they go to school? .PS: let’s hope things get better for teachers. ✨Happy Weekend✨.How is your weekend going so ✨Happy Weekend✨.How is your weekend going so far? I am finally feeling more normal after the massive jetlag I had after my trip to South America. I am not sure why it hit me so much this time but it has taken me about two solid weeks to properly be back to my routine without feeling right. Waking up in the mornings was the worst. It was very hard, especially when I had to be on time for the school run! 😩.Anyway, everything feels better now! 😊.How long does it take you to be back to normal after a jetlag? Do you have any tricks or tips to speed this process? .📸 Selfy taken in Barranco, a lively district in Peru considered to be one of the most romantic and bohemian places to visit and being the home and working place of many Peruvian artists, musicians, designers, photographers among others 😎.#thisisme #selfie #instaselfie #smilemore #brunettehair #greeneyes #over40#over40blogger #overforty #overfortystyle #over40andfabulous #over40mom #outandabout #barrancolima

✨Peruvian Suspiro Limeño✨."Suspiro Limeño" ✨Peruvian Suspiro Limeño✨."Suspiro Limeño" is one of my favourite Peruvian desserts. When I was In Peru, I of course, made sure to have it not only once but several times 😉.This dessert is made of manjar blanco (milk, sugar, almond flour, egg yolks, vanilla) and meringue (egg whites, port, cinnamon) 😘.The history behind this dessert starts with Amparo Ayarza who was the creator. Her husband, José Gálvez Barrenechea was a poet and was the one who gave it its name. The poet called it "Suspiro de Limeña", which means, 'Sigh of a Lima lady', because it is soft and sweet like the sigh of a woman. Love this 🥰.Have you ever tried "Suspiro Limeño"? Or have you heard of it before? Would you try it? .📸 Picture taken @panchitasazoncriolla in Lima that has one of the best versions of this dessert 🙌🏻.#suspirolimeño #peruviandessert #meringue #merengue #desserttime #dessertlover #dessertpic #dessertgram #peruvianfood #cocinaperuana #gastronomiaperuana #perufood #peruviancousine #whatisfordessert #dessertsofinstagram
