Pines & Needles Real Christmas Trees – Delivery & Decorating Service

amomentwithfranca · 17 December 2018 · 2 Comments

Are you all ready for Christmas? It is not long now! Just 8 days! Wow! I feel this year has passed even quicker than last year! I love this time of the year! Seeing the streets looking so festive and the atmosphere is really lovely. I love London at Christmas too! The Christmas lights are amazing! And of course, the Christmas trees! There is no Christmas without a Christmas tree! We love real trees and we have had one for 4 consecutive years now thanks to Pines & Needles! We love the smell of a real tree and how beautiful they look. And the trees from Pines and Needles are the best!

We have been having a lovely tradition to go and pick up our Christmas tree with the girls. But this year we decided to do something different. Pines and Needles kindly offered us to experience their Festive Decoration Service. This is something that I have been wanting to try, so I said yes.

Pines and Needles trees are gorgeous. You can get a tree up to 12ft tall! This, of course, is more suitable for companies. We chose a 4ft Normann Fir. This is the size that we have always chosen due to the amount of space we have at home. But I would love to have a 6ft tall tree one day!

OUR CHRISTMAS TREE ARRIVED

Christmas Tree before and after removing it from its net

We got also the delivery service included so on the day of our booking we received our gorgeous tree together with the decoration service. We had a lovely guy dressed up with Pines and Needles uniform which consists of a Scottish kilt, a jumper and a Christmas hat. It is really festive! This is because the Pines and Needles owners are originally from Scotland and is where they have all their beautiful trees.

We had our slot booked for the evening because we wanted the girls to be around as well as having Nick back from work. When our tree arrived Sienna was asleep but Bella was still awake so she was really excited to help Celso, our decorator. He unwrapped it from the net that was protecting it and put it on its stand in 5 minutes! It was so quick! When I saw the tree without the net, I was so happy because it looked so pretty! I really love a proper real tree!

GETTING THE LIGHTS ON

Celso getting ready to put the Christmas Lights

He then took the Christmas lights out of the decorations box he had brought with him and got ready to put them around the tree. We got 120 ice white LED string lights. He explained his technique to get this part of the job done quickly, so he wrapped the lights around his hand and elbow and that way he can go around the tree faster and makes this part of the decorating job easier for him.

Almost finishing to put the lights on the Christmas tree

He went around the tree very quickly and mastered this job very well. I guess putting the lights on the Christmas tree is always the hard part of decorating it. I always leave that job to Nick and then I hang the decorations on the tree with the girls.  He also added another set of lights we had at home so we combined both lights together. Our lights had a warmer colour so the mix was nice.

TIME TO DECORATE OUR CHRISTMAS TREE

Hanging our decorations

White & Silver colour Theme

We chose a White & Silver colour Theme for our decoration. I have never chosen this colour theme before. I always go for either red or golden. But this year I wanted something different as I wanted a white Christmas deco feeling. It is always nice to experiment with the colours, then I can know for sure what I like.

We got bows, flower arrangements, a cute bird, pretend leaves, white baubles, silver baubles, ribbons, etc. We got a little bit of everything which was nice to see.

Our Star

We also got a gorgeous Star. It was silver with lots of little silver balls. It is quite big but I love how it looks at the top of our tree. I also wrapped a small fairy light around the star which I think makes it stand out more, especially when it is dark.

CHRISTMAS TREE DECORATION SERVICE READY

Celso very proudly showing his masterpiece! 😉

While Celso was decorating our tree he was letting Bella be involved too. He was telling her where to put some of the decorations as well as telling her some stories about the trees that he had delivered and decorated in the past. He has been doing this for 4 years and he loves it. Our tree was small but he had done a 12ft tree on the same day in Central London!

Christmas tree with the room lights off

He also tidied up around the tree as of course there were needles underneath it. He asked us where exactly we wanted the tree and he moved it to the specific spot we wanted! He was very nice and friendly.

We also wanted to see how the tree looked with the room lights off. It was lovely to see how our 4ft Christmas tree was looking after the whole decorating process. It looked so pretty!

OUR TREE ON THE DAYLIGHT

The following morning, I really wanted to see how the tree looked with the daylight as I wanted to appreciate it more. I decided to move the decorations around a little so they were more evenly spaced. It was easier for me to see this with the daylight. Then I sat down in front of the tree and at stared our tree for a long time.

I was so happy to have my tree ready to enjoy this Christmas for the whole month of December. My girls were also very happy and excited to have their tree ready. They were super excited, especially little Sienna that didn’t manage to be with us the night before, so when she woke up the following morning she was jumping up and down around the tree. Bless her!

Little Tree

We also received a little tree to keep at home This was a lovely surprise from Pines and Needles! Very thoughtful indeed as the girls love the idea of having a little tree for them to take care and keep for longer. We will take it to their grandparents over Christmas so then they can put in their garden. I am sure the girls would love to see their tree growing there ready for next Christmas!

OUR THOUGHTS

We are really happy with our tree. As I mentioned before we have never had a decorating service before so it was lovely to have our tree this year in this way. It is hassle-free and lets you enjoy your tree with your family straight away. My eldest daughter loved the experience too. Watching Celso doing the decoration was a lot of fun for her as well as picking up some tricks from him too!

We have been having real trees from Pines and Needles for 4 years now and we absolutely love their trees. We can highly recommend you to get your trees from them. They have a great sale at the moment so go and check their website HERE. I have also done some stories on my Instagram. You can see there when our tree was delivered and decorated. I have saved them under the PinesandNeedles Highlight so you can still watch them HERE.

Have you had a real tree before? Have you booked a delivery and decorating service before?

*Disclosure: We were offered a Christmas Tree delivery and festive decorating service from Pines and Needles for the purpose of this review. However, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Thanks for stopping by,

Love you all ❤️

✨ Cat Cafe In London✨.📍Bella and I went t ✨ Cat Cafe In London✨.📍Bella and I went to @javawhiskersuk , a cat cafe located in @westfieldlondon . This was my present for Mother’s Day from her🌸.🌟 Before we went inside, we had to go to a separate room to wash our hands and remove our shoes..🐾 They have 2 different rooms: the Cat Lounge and the Kitten Lounge and you can choose to stay from 55 mins to 1hr 55 mins. The prices vary depending on the room you choose and the length of time..🍰 When we stepped inside the room we were greeted by a group of gorgeous kittens. We ordered (before we went inside the room) a latte and a delicious chocolate muffin with chocolate melted inside that was so good. This was served to us in the room while we were surrounded by these adorable kittens..🐱 We spent 55 mins playing and petting the kittens. They were so cute. We loved interacting with them..🥰 Their cafe is also a foster home for homeless cats so if you are looking to adopt one, this is the place to visit! They have had 230 successful adoptions already! 🙌🏻.🚨 The only downside is that you have to be over 10 years old in order to be allowed inside the rooms 😬.🐈 If you are a cat lover like us, I highly recommend you visit Java Whiskers! It is the perfect place to unwind and relax with these beautiful kittens! 🙌🏻.Have you visited a Cat Cafe before? 🐈‍⬛ .#javawhiskers #catcafe #catcafelondon #londoncafe #westfieldlondon #londondayout #daysout #thingstodoinlondon #newplaces #londonguide #lovecats😻 #catsofinstagram #catloversday #londonthingstodo #whatsonlondon

✨My Girls✨.Due to the strikes we had Sienna ✨My Girls✨.Due to the strikes we had Sienna at home yesterday and today, and Bella only today. I thought it would be very chaotic but despite it always being louder when the girls are at home, especially my youngest one, lol, we did well..Bella did school work at home today and had the afternoon free. Sienna didn’t do school work. We only asked her to carry on doing Spanish and Maths via Duolingo. She also had Spanish lessons this afternoon (every Thursday she has lessons) so both days were manageable thankfully 😍.How was it for you? Did your kids stay at home or did they go to school? .PS: let’s hope things get better for teachers. ✨Happy Weekend✨.How is your weekend going so ✨Happy Weekend✨.How is your weekend going so far? I am finally feeling more normal after the massive jetlag I had after my trip to South America. I am not sure why it hit me so much this time but it has taken me about two solid weeks to properly be back to my routine without feeling right. Waking up in the mornings was the worst. It was very hard, especially when I had to be on time for the school run! 😩.Anyway, everything feels better now! 😊.How long does it take you to be back to normal after a jetlag? Do you have any tricks or tips to speed this process? .📸 Selfy taken in Barranco, a lively district in Peru considered to be one of the most romantic and bohemian places to visit and being the home and working place of many Peruvian artists, musicians, designers, photographers among others 😎.#thisisme #selfie #instaselfie #smilemore #brunettehair #greeneyes #over40#over40blogger #overforty #overfortystyle #over40andfabulous #over40mom #outandabout #barrancolima

✨Peruvian Suspiro Limeño✨."Suspiro Limeño" ✨Peruvian Suspiro Limeño✨."Suspiro Limeño" is one of my favourite Peruvian desserts. When I was In Peru, I of course, made sure to have it not only once but several times 😉.This dessert is made of manjar blanco (milk, sugar, almond flour, egg yolks, vanilla) and meringue (egg whites, port, cinnamon) 😘.The history behind this dessert starts with Amparo Ayarza who was the creator. Her husband, José Gálvez Barrenechea was a poet and was the one who gave it its name. The poet called it "Suspiro de Limeña", which means, 'Sigh of a Lima lady', because it is soft and sweet like the sigh of a woman. Love this 🥰.Have you ever tried "Suspiro Limeño"? Or have you heard of it before? Would you try it? .📸 Picture taken @panchitasazoncriolla in Lima that has one of the best versions of this dessert 🙌🏻.#suspirolimeño #peruviandessert #meringue #merengue #desserttime #dessertlover #dessertpic #dessertgram #peruvianfood #cocinaperuana #gastronomiaperuana #perufood #peruviancousine #whatisfordessert #dessertsofinstagram
