A Wild Twist on Jane Austen’s Classic! What if Pride and Prejudice wasn’t all about manners, propriety, and polite conversation—but instead filled with cocktails, chaos, and a little bit of mischief? Nick and I stepped into the world of Plied and Prejudice London at The Vaults, and let me tell you—it was unlike anything we’ve ever experienced! This immersive, laugh-out-loud take on Jane Austen’s beloved novel throws all the traditional elegance out the window, replacing it with wild antics, live music, and plenty of drinks.
If you love immersive theatre, comedy, and a good night out, keep reading to find out why this is a must-see show before it closes on May 18th!
Plied and Prejudice London – A Wild & Boozy Jane Austen Night
What is Plied and Prejudice?
Plied and Prejudice is a wildly creative, booze-fueled adaptation of Pride and Prejudice that blends theatre with party vibes. It takes Austen’s classic story and shakes things up with hilarious chaos, audience participation, and themed cocktails that keep flowing all night.
Fresh from a sellout run in Australia, this show has now landed in London at The Vaults (Waterloo), transforming the space into a lively, slightly unhinged, Austen-inspired world. It’s half performance, half party—so expect the unexpected
Our Experience at Plied and Prejudice London
Arrival & Pre-Show Atmosphere
From the moment we arrived, we knew this wasn’t your typical theatre experience. As we stepped inside, we were announced by the Plied Pipers (yes, really!), making us feel like we had just entered a grand ball.
With a cocktail in hand, we soaked up the buzzing atmosphere—stunning décor with a cheeky Jane Austen twist, a lively bar, and live music that set the scene. The pre-show alone felt like a party, with plenty of photo opportunities and immersive moments.
The Show Itself – Pure Chaos & Comedy
Once inside the main ballroom, the fun kicked off. Here’s what made it so unforgettable:
- Five actors playing 20 characters—and somehow pulling it off brilliantly
- Audience participation—expect to be part of the fun (willing or not!)
- Hilarious unscripted moments—the kind that makes live theatre so special
- Drinks are served to your seat by “servants”—yes, you can order cocktails throughout the show!
- The wet shirt scene—you know, the one. And yes, it delivers
The show is full of unexpected antics, cheeky humour, and moments that will have you crying with laughter. If you love a bit of Bridgerton-style drama with a boozy twist, you’ll be in your element.
The After-Party – A Must-Stay Moment!
Once the show wrapped up, the fun wasn’t over. We were guided back into the pre-show space, where the cast joined us for drinks, music, and more entertainment. It felt more like an exclusive after-party than a theatre event.
Even if you don’t usually stay for post-show drinks, this is one after-party you don’t want to miss!
Who Will Love This Show?
If you enjoy:
- Bridgerton, Jane Austen, or period dramas with a modern twist
- Immersive theatre experiences like Secret Cinema
- Laugh-out-loud comedy with audience participation
- A fun night out that doesn’t take itself too seriously
…then this show is for you!
Important to note: It’s strictly 18+ (for good reason!). Expect raunchy humour, strong language, and plenty of drinks.
