I was recently invited to attend a cool event held in Central London at the amazing Disney Store in Oxford Street, organised by Epson and Disney to talk about the fantastic EcoTank Printer. Epson has created 4 crafting projects together with Disney in the theme of the Finding Dory movie that is perfect for printing with their EcoTank printer. The EcoTank is a perfect printer for a busy family as the refillable tanks last for 2 years meaning you don’t have to worry about buying new cartridges for that time! How awesome is that?
I was very excited to go to the Disney Store in Oxford Street as I had not been in that branch before. It is huge and has so many cool toys and pretty things.
On the day, we had the opportunity to test the craft projects whilst tucking into some delicious refreshments and light food! I was very impressed with the food that was offered as it not only looked fabulous with the different colours on display but it was really yummy roo. I really enjoyed it!
The projects we tried at the event were perfect to recreate at home with my girls. These activities were great to do when we had those rainy days and now, even more so, with the Autumn months now almost upon us.
The event started with a short welcome talk by the PR lady. She then introduced us to Bobby from Disney who told us about their partnership with Epson and of course a little bit about the film Finding Dory. Then we had Neil from Epson explaining to us all about the functionality of the printer and how the market has developed over the years. He told us that we were now able to to print more for less.
This printer is supplied with ink that can last for up to two whole years! This works out to be a 70% saving in printing costs and costs less than a penny per page! How amazing is that?
Alice from More than Toast then gave a demonstration of how to make the craft projects. She was really nice and funny. She explained that these projects are fantastic to do with your children and will keep them entertained for a long time.
There were lots of materials on hand to work on these projects. We were left to be creative and to start doing some crafting. They have origami, 3D models, and a big table where we could sit down and get on with all the crafting!
They also had an aquarium window and a super fun area with lots of props to take into our own photo booth. They left selfie sticks for all of us to use which was very entertaining! I took lots of selfies and used the props too with Maria and Nadia. Maria and I had so much fun playing with the Octopus tentacle.
We were given tickets to go and watch the Finding Dory movie and also a discount code so we were able to buy something at the Disney store while we were there. I decided to buy some cute Finding Dory bath toys for the girls.
Epson EcoTank ET-2550 Review
One of the things that we were told at the event was that we were going to be sent an Epson EcoTank printer too! I was so excited about it. I was actually complaining with Nick about our previous printer not long ago. We definitely needed a new one and this couldn’t have arrived at a better moment!
Our previous printer was much bigger than this one so when it arrived, I was very pleased to gain some more space on our desk. I love the idea of having a WIFI enabled printer so I can print at any time, from wherever I am at home, including on smart phone or tablet using an app. This is very practical, such as when you are on your way out and need to print an email or tickets – no need to load up the computer!
The idea of this printer is to say goodbye to cartridges. So, with no hidden costs, the EcoTank range of printers offers you the freedom to print whenever and wherever you like at an ultra-low-cost per page. It didn’t take long to install and setup and if you follow the instructions it is pretty straight forward. You just need to fill up the ink cartridges, plug it in and connected it to your home Wi-Fi. That was it!
It prints really well. I have done plenty of printing and copying already but I still need to try the scanning function which I think should be easy too. There is also a very useful app called Epson iPrint that you can download onto your mobile where you can use it to print directly from your phone.
You can buy this printer for £200 and your ink supply as mentioned, will last for about 2 years. We have been using it since we received it and we are very pleased with it so far. It is a very good printer that comes with lots of cool features.
Finally, I would like to say Thank You so much to the lovely people at Epson and Disney for such a fantastic event. It was so much fun and the printer was fantastic.
Have you heard of the Epson EcoTank before? Do you have something similar at home? What do you think of this event? Have you been to the Disney Store in Central London? Have you seen Finding Dory already? Did you like it? Please leave a comment below as I would love to read what you think.
