Rosemood Photo Books – Keeping Our Precious Memories Alive – Review

amomentwithfranca · 5 May 2020 · 14 Comments

Wherever I go, I’m always taking photos. I think it is a lovely way to capture beautiful moments and keep them to remember them forever. I normally leave my photos on my phone or cloud storage but a great way to keep those moments alive is by printing them in a photo book as it is so nice to flick through the pages anytime you fancy remembering those special moments again. Not long ago, I was approached by Rosemood to try their photo books. I was really excited because now that we are at home and we cannot travel it is the best moment to put together all those pictures from previous trips we have made to remember them again. It’s a lovely way to keep those travel feelings fulfilled until we are able to travel again.

AD: Paid Partnership With Rosemood

Being able to create photo albums easily and get them printed in a beautiful photo book and delivered quickly is definitely something that encourages you to print more photos so I can keep those memories alive. This is exactly the service that Rosemood are offering.

Photo books are a lovely way to put together your memories in one place and personalise how you like it. It is perfect to keep your own memories alive or to put them together as a gift for someone special so they can also remember those beautiful moments. Personalised gifts are definitely more thoughtful.

About Rosemood

Rosemood is a young French company specialising in the creation and production of beautiful personalised wedding and baby stationery, as well as elegant soft and hardcover photo books. They are based in Nantes but they have been working in the UK and Ireland for almost three years now.

They sell all type of cards such as Christmas Cards, Thank You Cards, Party Invitations, Baby Announcement Cards, Christening Invitations, Weddings, Calendars and much more. And you can personalise all of these which makes the process even more special as you can design a beautiful and colourful piece.

Choosing the Contents of Our Photo Book With Rosemood

Last year Nick and I travelled childfree to Greece for the first time for our 11th Wedding Anniversary. We haven’t been away from the girls for that long or that far before so it was a different experience. Greece is a country that we both were really excited to visit and OMG, it, of course, didn’t disappoint! It was one of the most special trips we have made together as a couple. We will never forget it. Nick and I promised ourselves that we will return to this beautiful place with our girls. So what better way to bring those memories back to life than creating a photo book with Rosemood.

Putting Together Our Photo Book With Rosemood

Putting together our Rosemood photo book was such an easy process to do. I was very impressed with their attention to detail during the whole process until you place your order. It is fantastic!

All photo books start with 30 pages, but you can add as many additional pages as you wish. You can add up to 200 pages with a maximum of 500 photos. The photo books are available in softcover, hardback and also fabric covers. I chose a softcover Photo book.  They all have a trendy magazine-style finish.

You have the option to choose a variety of stylish designs as well as the type of format. There are 3 formats available: square, portrait and landscape. There are so many designs available to choose so you would definitely find one for you. I chose Essential. Each format has a different size to choose: small, medium and large. I chose Medium for mine.

You can upload your photos from your computer, Instagram, Google or Rosemood. You can use their website or their App. I did the whole process on my laptop. I selected all the photos of our Greece trip and imported them. Once you have selected your photos all you need to do is upload them.

Once you’ve uploaded your photos to the website, you will have 2 options to choose: a) you can edit your photos using your own artistic skills or b) see your book automatically filled for you instantly. I wanted to make things easier for me, so I chose the auto-fill option. The auto-fill makes sure you have enough photos on each page, spreading them evenly throughout the book. The system will also let you know if an image is not high enough in quality so you can then change it. I absolutely love this feature. It was very handy to have all the hard work done for you.

You can then have the option to make some changes visiting each page if you are not happy with any layout. I was happy with the layout. It was looking great, so I didn’t make any changes. You can add texts to your images so I did add the locations of the images as well as the date and a little memory wording to always remember how much we loved this trip.

Once you have finished personalising your photo book with your photos, you will be asked to select a paper type, They have 2 options: a) Matte  (smooth paper that has the more natural photo finish with a more modern feel) or b) ivory paper (perfect for more traditional photo books). I chose Matte for my photo book.

Complimentary Retouching Service

  • Proofread your text (up to 500 words)
  • Check and retouch your cover photo manually
  • Have your other photos retouched automatically
  • Optimise the layout of your photo book pages

In order for your photo book to be perfect, their proofreaders will check through your text, your photos will go through an automatic retouching service and their graphic designers will optimise the quality of the cover photo for printing where possible. You have the option to not to utilise this service but I, of course, opted for this option as I thought it was fantastic. And I am glad I did because the images of the photo book look amazing!

Rosemood During Coronavirus

Rosemood’s website is fully operational and their printing studio based in France is up and running. They have been able to adapt their working practices to make sure that everyone can stay safe in the printing studio. Of course, the orders are taking a little longer to process as they have put in new hygiene/security measures at the printing studio. All products are handled with gloves, a night is left between each stage of production so that no two people touch a product within 24 hours, and all employees are wearing masks.

Once packaged at their end, the parcel is collected by their courier partner who will then also take care of delivery. Then your photo book will be delivered by DPD who are offering a contact-free delivery service. Even though I was expecting my photo book to take a little longer, it actually arrived quicker than expected which was a lovely surprise.

Our Thoughts

I am so impressed with Rosemood. I absolutely love my photo book. It is gorgeous! The images look amazing. As soon as I opened it, I was sent back to June 2019 feeling the breeze of the warm and fresh air of the beautiful sea views in Greece. I know that every time we want to remember this trip we just need to grab this photo book and flick through it to feel we are there again.

Rosemood offers a great service. They put so much attention to detail through every step of this process. They really care about how satisfied you are so they won’t stop until you are. If you are still not completely satisfied when you receive your photo book, they’ll reprint it for free to make sure you are! Through the whole process of receiving your photo book, you are updated where it is which gives you peace of mind as you know it is coming soon.

They offer high-quality paper and binding used for both the cover and the inside pages of your photo books. I can definitely confirm that the quality of my photo book is outstanding. Providing an auto-filling, proofreading and retouching definitely makes a difference. They offer an amazing service and it is so easy to use.

They also apply a protective film to the cover of the photo books to give it a sleek smooth finish, whilst protecting the photo book from the wear and tear of everyday use. Fantastic right? I am so happy with my photo book that I am thinking of ordering more. Perhaps I will create one for an upcoming birthday as it really makes a beautiful gift.

You can get a beautiful softcover photo book with 26 pages from £15. It is such great quality so it is really good value for money. Check out the full range on the Rosemood website.

I’m a big fan of photo books. I tend to pull out all the people shots from our trips and put them in a book – otherwise they just disappear into the laptop never to be seen agian. #KCACOLS

These photo books look absolutely gorgeous! We have so many great family photos from our adventures over the past few years, but they just sit lifelessly on my phone most the time. You have inspired me to make something 🙂 #KCACOLS

This looks great. I was one of the last people I know that was still printing out pictures and putting them into albums but I finally gave up five or so years ago. This would make it so easy to get back into it #KCACOLS

So we have our first teacher’s strike day today which means no school and learning from home..Bella is doing her school work via Google classroom so she will follow her normal school day that way and Sienna doesn’t have a structured day from school today so she should have a day off but we have agreed for her to do some work too, so she will be reading, practicing for her spelling test and doing some maths. This way we can all have a productive day 😉, well hopefully! 😬. Have you been affected by the strike today? ✨Happy Friday✨.Did you have a good week? Unf ✨Happy Friday✨.Did you have a good week? Unfortunately, it wasn’t that good for us because the girls have been under the weather. Bella started first with a sore throat and high fever for a few days and then when Bella got better, Sienna started! She got a horrible cough but no temperature. Her cough was that bad that she couldn’t sleep very well for a couple of nights. They are both much better now and back to school.. The weather hasn’t helped either. It has been so cold lately! I literally feel frozen all the time. Thankfully it is looking better atm as the temperatures are starting to rise. I decided to get my flu vaccine, so I hope it protects me from all these viruses that are going around! Have you had the flu vaccine too? .On another note, I went yesterday to a parents meeting about GCSE options for Bella. I can’t believe she needs to think about it already ahead of Year 9. The time really goes fast.
