#SagGoneGrooveOn – Pampers Active Fit with Magical Pods

amomentwithfranca · 27 February 2016 · 6 Comments

I’m sure that if any of you have toddlers will understand how active they can be all day long. My two girls are incredibly active but I must admit that Sienna blew away my expectations when she crawled at a very early stage (just before 6 months) and from it was incredible how early and fast she then learned to walk, taking her first steps at just under 10 months. She definitely beat Bella, my eldest, who started walking at 10.5 months. As you can see I have had a very active baby at home all this time. Sienna is now 18 months old and she loves climbing absolutely anything, running everywhere, jumping, dancing, etc… you name it she does all the moves and more, LOL!

With an active toddler like Sienna, most nappies can get very saggy very quickly. I must admit that we have always used Pampers since day one with both our daughters. We have found that they deal with this problem well as they are quite durable and as such has been our nappy of choice for both girls.

Britmums asked me if I would like to be part of a new project with Pampers to try their new Premium Protection Active Fit nappies which are the first and only nappies with Magical Pods which are absorbing channels that help to distribute wetness evenly, so the nappy stays up to two times drier and doesn’t sag compared with other brands. I was really excited with this opportunity and of course keen to give these new nappies a go. I was really intrigued to learn what else Pampers have done to improve their existing Active Fit nappies.

I was immediately up for this challenge and as soon we received the nappies, Sienna put them on to test straightaway. Before I go on to tell you about my experience with the nappies for a week I would like to show you a video about how they actually work:

As you can see from the video, the nappy was completely dry just 3 minutes after we poured in 150ml of water. 150ml is the approximate equivalent of about 2-3 pees which is the average amount your baby might pee before you notice they need a change. I though this was amazing really. These really are Magical Pods!!

When we cut the nappy afterwards we were able to see the 3 channels where the magical pods absorb all the water. These pods have micro pearls that absorb and lock away wetness even better than the existing Active Fit nappies. It was really fantastic! These pods were very soft and transparent. It made the nappy feel dry and allowed the baby to stay like this for longer so you don’t have to change the nappy as often and your toddler will still feel comfy and be able to keep being active.

When Sienna tried the nappies I was a little bit apprehensive to be honest as I thought the existent Active Fit nappies were already good enough. The truth is that these nappies were really good. They allowed Sienna to move freely for more time and she didn’t feel uncomfortable at all. I was impressed. These nappies were also great for the nights as Sienna didn’t wake up in the morning with a horrible saggy nappy as you might normally expected in the mornings. Sometimes I even left it on her until after breakfast and she was completely fine.

Another thing that I would like to say is that even though this has not been mentioned by Pampers and it is not on their product campaign. I also noticed that they are really good for the poops. Sienna had one day last week when her stomach was not very good and I needed to change her nappy at least 4 times that day. I was worried that this could give her a rash as it wouldn’t usually stay dry but wow I was wrong. I really kept her active and she didn’t look uncomfortable. Of course I changed her as soon as I noticed the poo but it was a great solution when out and about and there is no where convenient to change her. I was really impressed with this.

These nappies have a unique 3 way fit which adapts at the waist, legs and bottom. It also has flexible legs that gently seals arounds your baby’s legs and stretches while flexing with your baby’s every move. To make it even better it has a silky softness so Sienna barely feels the nappy. These new features are really good as Sienna was able to do all kinds of movements such as wiggling, jiggling, climbing, crawling, running and jumping and she was kept dry and happy for a long time.

Check our full video below which features Sienna and her every day movements 😉

After all that movement we didn’t see any nappy sag, just a very happy baby that only wanted to show her good grooves!! I was very impressed with the quality of these new nappies so I would recommend them to you to also try them and if you are up for a challenge you could also try the challenge at home and you will see with your own eyes what I’m telling you!! 😉

Love you all ❤️

I’ve seen these around and they sound really good. In New Zealand I knew which brand was the best but coming back here all the nappies were way different. Very educational and interesting read. Angela 🙂

I’m so the mum of crazy active toddlers, I seriously don’t know where they get the energy from. I think these would be the perfect nappies for them.

Hi Franca, I’ve seen these Pampers nappies being reviewed recently by a few other bloggers and have wondered what the difference was. I thought that their existing range was pretty good and happily used them with our little one until she was potty training, but itas great to see that they have managed to improve on this even further! I cant wait to try these out with baby number two, thanks for sharing this on #MarvMondays, really useful 🙂 Emily
